CHAPTER TWO HUNDRED AND SIXTEEN

Everybody's blood pressure was through the roof for several reasons and it all fell on me to get things in order.

“Please focus on him; his situation is worse,” I begged Memphis in panic when he rushed towards Xavier as I teleported him to the infirmary.

His eyes were rolled to the back and I could see him struggling to fight the effect of toxins residue in his body.

“He'll be fine, your Majesty,” he replied, shoving. “Please focus on purging the ship of this thing. There are not enough doctors to deal with the outbreak of this en-masse.”

“Please let me know if you'll need my blood. I'm going with Zyx and some humans.”

I looked over Xavier again, wishing I could hold him for longer without any issues coming from it but I didn't want to risk it.

I touched his heart one more time and was about to leave when a light lit up in his chest.

It was the key leaving him and flying straight to my chest.

I sighed in contentment. I could put things back in order, and he could heal better without the burden of keeping the ship on him.

Hopefully, this didn't mean he was too weak to survive. I won't let him die anyway, even if it means forcing his brain to work; I'll do anything.

So I begrudgingly let go of him as Doctor Memphis gave me a look and I teleported back to the control room.

“Kaid, please organize the public address system; we need to address this so people can know what's happening and not panic,” I instructed immediately after I got in.

“It'll be ready in a minute,” he replied and immediately got to work.

Zyx walked into the door right as began looking at the camera feeds.

“We need someone on that who can backtrack the events and figure out when they started working on this. It'll probably take ages but that'll give us a starting point,” he said as he got in.

Meanwhile, I was going through all the feeds at lightning speed and couldn't answer him until I saw what he was talking about.

“Here, come look at this,” I told him. I was used to that look of shock on his face at this point.

I stepped back for him to watch the video, and we saw how Lyra-en used some humans to do her dirty work.

Something told me they were forced but I'd have to go through their memories to deal with that situation.

“For now, we need to keep that piece of information a secret until we do a full investigation on how she convinced them to do that. The relationship between the two species is already bad enough as it is,” I instructed them and even though I could see some disagreeing looks, I didn't care.

“The system is ready, your Majesty,” Kaid informed me, and I nodded.

“I'll be right with you.”

“If we can grow the vaekon flower, it'll be able to reverse the effect on the people. The thing is, I don't think it was meant for the population but for His Majesty and you specifically, so dealing with it wouldn't have been an issue. But the soil we have here, I don't think it'll be able to grow the flower.”

“How does it look like?”

He pressed some buttons on the computer and showed me a flower that looked like a purple hibiscus, only it had vines. I noticed the harsh sand it grew on and understood what he meant.

“Oh I have an idea,” I replied as I remembered how Xavier had gone out of his way to get me those tulips. The sand was exactly like that.

“You can't do that thing he did that other time please,” Zyx replied in a warning tone.

“If that was what it would take to save that bitch from murdering millions of our people, I'd definitely do it but that's not necessary. Xavier came back with the sand from that planet and it's the perfect one for this,” I replied before heading off to the dome room.

It wasn't the way it was the last time we came here.

I remembered Xy'thern giving me mind-blowing pleasure on the table Xavier had set up for our date night.

The flowers had bloomed and everywhere was filled with tall Tulips.

I stood there for a minute, taking a break for my mind to settle from all the chaos of the last few weeks.

I was at my wits end but I couldn't give in. I needed to go check on Xander right after this to be sure he was not affected considering his health. I wasn't overly bothered because I knew Roe and Lisbeth would have rushed him over to me if anything was wrong but I needed to see him with my own eyes.

After that decision, I decided to do what I was here for.

I remembered how he taught me to bring things out of the universe so far the prerequisites were met.

And for this plant, the sand was all that was needed and a tiny bit of my power.

Well, it'll be a lot of it since I’d need to get as much as possible.

I knelt down and placed my hands on the ground, then closed my eyes, taking deep breaths to let my consciousness mix with the universe.

I presented the image and let my power out into the dark void, waiting for it to accept it.

At first, nothing happened, so I put more of my energy into the void.

I didn't feel anything after a while so I opened my eyes.

The flowers were everywhere, sprawled into the ground and breaking through the walls and going outside.

I opened the door and peeked out to see it overflowing through the entire corridor where I went through.

I walked out of the dome and closed the door behind me, locking it securely.

The further I walked, the more I saw the full-petaled flower along the walls.

I went around the ship and I realized it was seeking places where the N'tari was and fighting it.

I sighed in relief, at least one problem was solved.

I headed towards the human quarters immediately.
