CHAPTER HUNDRED AND EIGHTY-FOUR

As we hovered in the air, waiting for the search team to come back with their reports, another general climbed out and joined us.

He looked more brazen and masculine than the others I'd seen, with an air of authority.

He told his fellow Drakkonian that I was beautiful in their language but I only pretended to be catching a cold in the open space which made sense but I was really hot in the suit I was in. I kept my pity party demeanor going while Xavier's alternative form kept grunting in pain.

He walked over to me like there was some large stones laid in space for him to walk on and bent down to Xavier’s level.

Slap!

I had to hold back the utter horror I felt inside me at the slap he'd just dealt on him. I reminded myself that this wasn't really him even as he proceeded to kick and hit him.

It seemed the Drak had a personal vendetta against Xavier.

“Get them back here, he's very real,” he said to the other guy with their throaty language, giving me a feeling of relief but I didn't let it show. I couldn't.

Then he stood straight and walked towards my front. He traced the glass of the oxygen mask as though he wanted to take it off and touch my face.

“How did a pretty little thing end up in such a wicked web?” He asked, his general language sounding weird.

He was a war lord, not an ambassador so it made sense he struggled with it.

“I…” my voice disappeared when his hands began tracing my hair like it was the most interesting thing in the world.

Fake Xavier began to shake in his bound. His jealousy was apparent and it boldened the Drak in front of me.

“I could give you a better life you know,” he said, his voice lower. It took everything in me not to show my revulsion. I definitely remembered how they saw women in their planet. “ You will see your family again once and then come love with me,” he drawled on, his wandering hands driving me nuts with anger and anxiety. I was so scared of acting out of turn and ruining this entire operation.

He grabbed my waist in the space suit like he was looking at a piece of wood for sale.

“Very strong hips, and I hear you've given birth before so you're perfect for birthing my sons. They'll be stronger than puny thing though,” he chuckled at the last part of his words meanwhile, I wanted the proverbial ground to open up and swallow me.

“I'm sorry, I don't want to be with any man again. This experience has traumatized me enough. I just need you to promise me you'll actually kill him this time. Corbin tried before and failed,” I said, giving him the sense of over sharing.

“Hm. A determined woman. I hear you earthling women are stronger mentally but when I learned of how easy it was to conquer your men, I lost interest. I don't like easy prey,” he said offhandedly and finally moved away from my personal space.

I held myself from breathing in top hard, the oxygen pack in my suit was small.

“We didn't evolve as quickly as the rest of you but all that's going to change immediately I get back. We can even have an alliance,” I suggested with a patronizing smile.

“An alliance with a woman who rejected me?” He grumbled and shook his head. “If you ever amount to something, I'll visit your little planet so encourage them to either remain impoverished or get ready to be colonized by a superior race. Besides, why would I do politics with a female?” He sneered.

Great, his nice little game was over and we were back in familiar grounds.

I heard the Draks pouring out of the mother ship with a disappointed look on their faces.

I wished so badly I could ask them what's they were waiting for all these while but I didn't want to ruin what was happening.

Deep down I felt terrified with how smoothly everything was going.

“Did you see the prisoner?” The first guy with a smaller build asked one of the Draks that came from our ship.

“Yes but he's under some sort of spell,” the drak replied in their language.

“What of the ky'rhans left alive?”

“That's the thing, it's like their King has been using their strengths to command the ship and now that he's out of sorts because of the disruption, the rest of the ky'rhans are laying half dead across the ship. So we killed some just to be sure and would have annihilated them all before you called us back,” he explained, breaking my heart with every word out of his lips.

“The humans have also turned the entire ship upside down in a revolt,” another Drak added and I watched them with glossy eyes as they exchanged information.

I stood awkwardly by the side while they moved from our ship to theirs and they had the discussions in their language.

“Are we actually going to give it to her?” One soldier asked, making my heart nearly beat out of my chest.

“I don't see why not. Our mission is to make sure they don't come anywhere near Zorvath and King Cranium insists on us obeying that bastard’s instructions until the planet is ripe for our taking,” big burly commander replied.

“Fine, bring it out and set the machine guns on high. I still have a weird tick about all of this,” the first Drak instructed the guy.

He seemed to be his assistant or something, a younger version of him.

“Hand him over,” he commanded after the other guy left to obey his instructions.

“Not like I'm attached to him or anything but isn't this supposed to be an exchange?” I asked, trying to make sure they don't realize I understand them.

“He's gone to bring it and don't speak to my general in that tone,” big burly Drak hissed at me.

I quickly bowed my head, showing obeisance that I didn't feel.

“I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you,” I apologized just as the other guy returned back with the heart.

It was in a box, and rightfully so.

It was a bright, circular and buzzing thing with an aura that called to me.

“Such a weak thing,” the General said in irritation, meaning he'd seen bigger orbs than the one I was being handed.

“Do you know how to install it or you want me to send someone with you?”

I thought about it, we still needed someone to interrogate so I nodded.

“Please.”

“Angus, go with her and make sure they're headed back quickly,” he commanded.

“Make sure our plan works, Aiser. If this ship isn't blown to bits on their way back, they might be a problem in the future,” the big burly guy said as he turned around.

I couldn't hide my shocked face.
