CHAPTER HUNDRED AND THIRTY-TWO

Xavier brought dinner for me by himself and teleported some of my things into the room, making me feel weird inside.

He could have gotten someone else to do it instead of doing it himself but it was as though he was taking every chance to be in my space.

“I've placed guards at your door, if you need anything, just call on them,” he said to me as I prepared for bed.

“Thank you,” I said to him, genuinely grateful that he hasn't let his dark side out yet.

I didn't need to be dealing with it in the state of mind I was in.

The next morning, Theresa came to wake me up. As I sat up, I realized Xavier had been here. I couldn't put my finger on it but my sheets smelled like him and it made me feel weird. I wasn't that much of a deep sleeper.

“I'm to give you a tour of the ship, his Majesty is really busy,” she said as she opened my bag and began arranging everything into the wardrobe.

“Do I have to do that today? I really feel tired,” I groaned.

I guess all of the emotional and mental stress had gotten into me more than I thought and I just felt like either sleeping all day or diving into that pool I saw in the hologram.

“I'm simply following instructions Ma'am, you can talk to him about what you want.”

“Sure, let me get ready,” I replied, forcing myself out of the big sized bed.

The bed had been smaller but as I lay down, I felt Xavier expand it.

The powers he had was unimaginable and that definitely contributed to his personality disorder but I wasn't going to use that as an excuse for him treating me like crap every time he felt like it.

I still remembered those words coming out of him like it was yesterday. Besides the obvious fact that he was talking about me like I was incapable of making decisions for myself, the part that hurt the most was the realization that he didn't love me. I was in his life because I was useful.

He needed me for the powers he got and keeps getting each time we fuck, he kept me because it made humans like him more and now, I was pregnant for him so that made me a little more important to him.

There was no part of our relationship that hinted at him falling in love with me just for me. It was always about my usefulness so I intended very well to guard my heart and one of the ways to do that was to be involved in his government as minimally as possible.

After dressing up in black leggings and a blue sweatshirt on top of it.

I looked at my stomach in the mirror. At six weeks, it was already developing rapidly and I had a small bump. I didn't want to be so obvious.

From Roe's experience, I knew I would be going into labor a few weeks after we arrived in Zorvath and that scared me. What will happen to me afterwards?

“Where's he?”

“He's in the throne room,” she replied, trailing after me. I knew we were now strictly on a servant and Queen basis but walking behind me made me feel creepy so I paused for her to catch up and walk beside me.

“You have other things to do, yea?”

“Yes Your Majesty.”

We turned towards the living area but instead of going down the numerous paths that led to rooms that went as far as the eyes could see, we diverted left.

Each corridor we walked into had grass on the ground but you could see the iron on the ground, making me wonder how he was able to make it thrive. The leaves on the walls looked green and fresh so it wasn't drying up or anything.

When we got to the throne room, I looked around it.

It was a big room with an actual throne at the end of it.

There were one seater couches arranged around the room and some men were sitting down.

“Maybe we should just go to that tour,” I whispered to Theresa, feeling foolish for coming here.

But Xavier had seen me and his face lit up. It looked like he was bored to death until I got there.

“Gentlemen, meet my wife,” He said with a blinding smile.

I still remembered waking up from sleep and his scent enveloped me. Maybe that was why he was so happy, he thought he'd gotten away with it.

I was going to find a way to ensure he didn't pop into my room unannounced.

Inviting Roe over would definitely do the trick.

I replaced my morose look with a small smile and went to him. Even if our marriage had hit the Titanic Iceberg, I didn't want the people under him to see it.

“Hello your Majesty, it's nice finally meeting you,” a purple colored alien with black beards and sharp blue eyes said, taking my hand in his and kissing it. “You’re more beautiful in person.”

“Turn down the charm, Zyx,” Xavier interrupted with a smirk, taking my hands from him, “she only has eyes for me.”

I chuckled at their antics.

“He's absolutely right, Zyx. Which region were you in charge of? I kind of mixed it up in my head,” I replied with a smile as they surrounded me.

“I was in charge of Asia,” he replied and the rest of them introduced themselves.

“It is great getting acquainted with you guys but can I steal him for a second? I'll release him soon, I promise,” I asked them.

Besides the purple colored man with facial hair that nearly reached into his ears, the rest were as blue as any ky’rhan could get and it looked like they slept in the gym on their off days so I didn't want to say anything personal in front of them.

“Of course, he's all yours,” Kaid, the one in charge of Africa, nodded and I walked out with Xavier.

“Can I not do the whole tour thing right now? I'm feeling pretty tired,” I said immediately as we were out of earshot.

“You should have said something! I would have told Theresa to let you be. Let's get you back to bed, okay?” He said and teleported us back before I could even respond.

In a matter of minutes, I was back in bed, books near me and Roe and Lisbeth on the way.

“I'll be back to check on you later,” he said as he walked to the door,”

“You don't need to, I'm fine,” I grumbled, my heart clenching as his face fell, “also, try to sleep in your own bed from now on.”

I jumped as the door banged shut with force.
