CHAPTER TWO HUNDRED AND FIVE
“What have you done to my father!?” He yelled, his anger pouring out of him in droves.
“I already told you, I don't understand the mechanism of my powers,” I snapped at him, irritated at the way he was speaking to me.
I felt Lily shake beside me as he stepped closer.
“So all you know is destruction?” he sneered but I was unperturbed.
“You're familiar with that term, general, so you won't blame me, too. But don't worry, once I leave, I'm sure he'll be fine. Otherwise, long live, King Aisen,” I said and then teleported out of there before he got ideas.
“Whoo! That was terrifying as fuck!” Aran exclaimed as I landed somewhere along that horrible path that led to the Tarmac.
“I wonder what he'll do to the servants,” Lily whispered, and I could feel the tears coming already.
“Guys, just give me a second to breathe, we'll go the final leg in a minute,” I told them as I breathed in and out.
“Take as much time as you need,” replied Aran who carried the big bag from me. She lifted it like it weighed nothing.
Teleporting was probably easier for the Draks than us since they used external properties.
Funny how he didn't want to use it until he decided to refill the vials in my head with his poison.
For me, it's like running at a very fast speed, and considering I'd not done any form of running in the past two weeks, I couldn't go very long distances without getting weak and tired.
So we walked further a bit until I regained my breath.
“Alright, let's try that again,” I told them and grabbed their hands again.
I imagined the path it took to there and the memories of the small plane I'd seen came pouring into my mind.
We landed right in front of it, almost knocking our noses on it.
“That's a very useful skill,” Lily commented as I opened the door with my powers.
I helped Lily climb up but Aran was strong enough to hop on. Although she looked delicate and gentle, she was really strong.
I looked around the Tarmac and noticed all the people working a night shift and the fact that they would have to die for this escape to be without hitches.
“Do they have to die?” Lily whispered near me.
“We're reading minds now? And what do you suggest we do to prevent being shut down from the damn sky?” I snapped at her.
“Lily, she doesn't enjoy murdering people, okay?” Aran said to her as she came to stand beside me at the controls.
“Close your eyes, okay?” I told her before focusing on the view before me. They'd not realized anyone was here so that was a bonus.
To reduce the number of people I'd have to kill, I turned off all the lights, then everyone with a walkie-talkie and who could potentially report our location; I electrocuted them.
Then I pulled a protective ward around the plane so we could at least stand a chance if this goes south. I put the location device in and sat down.
Immediately, I turned on the engine, and the lights shining made me see the impact of my actions.
About three men were sprawled on the ground.
I didn't want to think about it until I was out of here so I checked that everything was working properly again before I placed my hands on the pedal, taking us towards the runway.
“Hey!” I heard from my back, making me turn sharply.
The jet hit something, and I looked forward immediately; it was a big tin of oil.
I rearranged the direction and continued moving.
“Aran, hold it steady,” I told her and she held the pedal so I could deal with the threat behind us.
“Okay,” she whispered and I could feel the fear coming from her. She gradually matched the break first before taking over the throttle, and gradually, I handed over the controls to her.
Five men were screaming at us, probably confused about what was happening.
I took out the first guy who was already on the phone speaking to someone.
The others saw it and began running for their lives.
But it didn't matter because I made quick work of them before returning to the plane’s controls.
“Thank you,” I said to Aran as I took them back, placing my feet on top of the break before she took hers off.
I was going through the manuals in my head as I aligned the plane properly on the runway before I began to increase the speed.
I couldn't stop at this point to deal with the shots I had begun hearing from the back.
They were just normal gunshots and not the machine guns I was scared of so the wards around the plane made sure there was no impact.
Lily, however,, was curled up in her seat, terrified as fuck. I didn't blame her; there wouldn't be much shooting on a planet filled with water, so facing this would be absolute madness for her.
Although, she'd need to get her mind solidified because since we left Earth, we'd been dealing with different types of attacks every damn week. Even I was tired of it.
As the plane gained momentum, I pulled back the throttle so we began lifting off the ground.
The gunshots increased.
I looked out the window and noticed Aisen was already with them and they were giving them instructions.
I mentally turned off the lights again, leaving them in darkness and confusion.
Then, the moment we were far up, I lit one big spaceship on fire.
The shooting paused immediately.
“Oh thank the waters! I thought they were going to shoot us down,” Lily exclaimed
“Have a little faith in me, Lils. I've got us. Hopefully, we can intercept my husband because I don't think the fuel in here can take us too far,” I said to them and I wish I'd not.
Nothing would be able to wipe off that look of fear from their eyes for a while.
