CHAPTER TWO HUNDRED AND TWENTY-EIGHT
XAVIER'S POV
With each cough, I realized my body wasn't healing as fast as before, the bullets staying too long in my body before falling out.
I put a shield around myself as thousands of shots began firing towards me.
I held the shield tightly, feeling an insane amount of pain as my body struggled to repair itself while getting shot by thousands of bullets.
My soldiers were returning the fire but we were outnumbered. It did help that I was the focus of the shooters so it was easier for them to take out as many ky'rhans as they could.
Finally, I got the strange bullet out of my system and I rose to the sky, letting go of the guns.
I was done playing fair.
“Zyx!” I called, looking for him around the mess of a battleground
“Here sir!” He yelled and I looked to see him behind a pillar, shooting.
I gave him a sign I'd communicated to him a while ago.
I needed the entire place cleared of our people because I was about to destroy everything within a five hundred meters radius and I didn't want them to be casualties.
I kept sending lightning bolts to whoever was trying to stop them from escaping.
They boarded their flights and flew off to a different part of the planet in different directions.
After five minutes of fighting with lightning while waiting for them, I finally heard a noise from my walkie-talkie.
“Your Majesty, we're far enough,” he announced and I nodded and rose higher from the ground and then began dropping the nuclear weapons I had brought with me.
But I had to make sure the destruction was restricted to just that spot alone so I held a strong force of shield around it, making sure the destruction was restricted to that location alone.
I realized that I might have to start working on a defense system afterward since I was currently destroying the one in place.
Suddenly, I heard a chopper noise coming from afar.
I looked closer and it was colored green with a flag hanging on top of it
It didn't fly too close, and I realized the hotness must have been too much for it, and also, it didn't look like it was looking for a fight.
I then let the rain fall and teleported to a spot right after the destruction zone so I could keep a handle on the damage. If it got out of the contained zone, it might spread way too far and destroy more than it needs to.
I waited for the chopper to get to where I was and I tightened the wards around me as well. The spot I'd gotten shot was still fresh and soft.
The entire journey had put my body through so much that it was now getting hurt by insignificant things like bullets.
My biggest mistake was bringing Corbin with me, I was holding on to things that didn't exist and he betrayed me again by turning Fanny against me.
Even my son wasn't exempt from the consequences.
After the chopper landed, four ky’rhans climbed out of it, three walking behind one who had an air of authority around him.
He was tall, but I was definitely taller than him, and his tail wagged back and forth as he walked towards me.
He was a shade of blue that I'd never seen before, all of them were, but he was darker. I realized the planet held a sort of harshness to its wind than earth so I guess that might affect a lot of things.
“You know you could have sent a messenger first to avoid all of this chaos,” the ky'rhan shouted when he got within hearing distance.
“The Draks that were sent to kill your own brothers just because they're coming home from another planet gave me the impression that you weren't in a talking mood,” I replied, standing still and waiting for them to catch up.
“Come on, you can't hold that against our king, he's a bit paranoid due to all that has been happening around the galaxy but he has sent me to bring you in for a proper welcome, a party is being prepared in your honor as we speak,” he declared, spreading his arms.
“I would rather he comes here to bow to his new king, I'm not unnecessarily violent like he is so I'm extending a kind hand. But he has to come and kneel,” I stated to the ky'rhan, who had gotten closer now; we didn't need to scream at each other.
“New King? You won this battle because we weren't prepared, if you both are out through the kingship test, you won't even last a second.”
“I have passed through it and I don't want to put him through that. I hear he is a smart ky'rhan so he should know when he's met one stronger than him. After all, this great planet deserves to be led by the strongest only, don't you think?”
“What our ambassador is trying to say is that you are a new ruler,” one of the older ky'rhans behind him spoke up, “one without experience and King Manois has proven he's the best. We're not going to follow you just because of a few parlor tricks.”
“Look, just tell your men to come and rest and call back the rest of your people. We're going to hold a memorable welcome party for you all, and we'll all become one like we were always meant to be,” the ambassador said, trying to sweet-talk me into doing what he wanted.
I shook my head, then I walked closer to him and leveled him with a look.
“What is your name?”
“Adviser Kage,” he replied, breathing faster than before.
“Ambassador Kage, I'm going to kill every one of your companions, hm? Then you'll take that chopper and go fetch your weakling of a leader, okay?”
“Wait, what? Why?” The other ky'rhan exclaimed, already scared for his life.
“Oh, would you go fetch him for me then? I don't really care who goes but someone has to, no?” I reiterate, allowing the heat burning behind us to flare up for effect.
They moved back quickly
“There's no need to be violent, well, more than already shown, we'll go and relay your information,” Kage replied and he ran back to the chopper, the others behind him.
I sighed and tightened my shield, I doubted he was going to come bearing flowers.
