CHAPTER HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-SIX
**XAVIER'S POV**
I felt lethargic as I woke up, although everywhere was still black. Which was unusual, since Tessa gave birth, she'd always wanted the lights to be on while sleeping so why would the lights be off?
Then I realized, it wasn't the lights. I was awake but my eyes were forced shut close.
But when I realized I wasn't in control of my ship anymore, I broke free of whatever pressure held me under and woke up properly, looking around to figure out what was wrong.
I looked around in confusion, noticing a weird stillness to the air.
Then my memory began reactivating, remembering the horrible image of that Drak throwing my son to the ground but then I heard him make a sound next to me, filling me with relief and then curiosity. A note was on his cot.
When did he get one and how did we go from that closet to here? I was as confused as hell.
Then I read the content of the letter and looked around again, this time noticing my wife who was out of sorts on a chair behind me as well as a bleeding Amer and Tunisia and I went into panic.
I did as the letter had said but it took me a second to understand what was actually happening.
Tessa had unlocked another of her powers and she probably didn't know how to control it until she burned herself out.
Reloading my controls of the ship made me realize how fast we were going. It seemed she was trying to outrun them but seeing their speed compared to ours, it was impossible.
But then I knew some things that they didn't and that was how to manipulate this ship so far everyone was locked in this time loop Tessa had put us in, it would be easy to simplify shrink the ship and fly as fast possible.
So I carried Xander's cot and placed it next to me and arranged Tessa’s neck so she's not in pain when she woke up and then I set to work.
I wasn't going to fight these Draks like before, the experience was terrible so I'd have to outrun them.
So I shrunk the ship to be their size while they were reloading. They were physically strong but mentally decrepit because why where they all loading at the same time?
This gave me the leeway to speed off, leaving them in the dust.
But I knew they'd catch up soon, considering they had a tracker in our ship.
So I had until the time lapse expired to run as far as possible.

Three hours later, I had to start expanding the ship again. People were beginning to awaken like I had, wall of darkness being the first thing to come to mind. It still took them about thirty minutes to go through it unlike me.
So by the time the entire ship was wide awake, I'd taken us considerably farther. About a week's distance had been converted in a few hours, and it excited and scared me at the same time.
It meant we'd have to set off soon and I'll leave this ship and it's inhabitants to my queen who was still in a state of depression and sadness.
But I trusted her heart, she had always pulled through more than us expected right from the beginning so I only had to trust her and focus on delivering this new planet to her. After all, I'd made her leave the one she'd called home for a promise of another in the stars. I therefore have to make sure it was safe and habitable for her.
I gave a small speech to the people who were gradually rousing into a state of confusion while still pushing the ship to it's, well, my limits.
I called Doctor Memphis to the command room to get a hospital ward ready for Tessa so she could rest from using all her powers to save us from a crazy disaster.
I knew I was in big trouble for not listening to her warning earlier which would have definitely prevented all of this but I wanted to get us to safety first before I start feeling like the piece of crap Xy'thern was singing in my heard right now
“Zyx, get everyone in preparation for an attack. It might not come now, but it's surely on its way and I want us to take them out without blowing their ship to bits. We'll be leaving immediately afterwards,” I instructed and he confirmed the reception of the information.
Confirming that all my instructions had been taken, I began rounding up the dead bodies, throwing the ones from the Draks into the unforgiving space while getting my people together for a proper Ky’rhan burial.
I was disconnected from my feelings as I did this, carrying Xander's cot with me as I teleported to rooms, closets and wherever it is felt the cold hands of death around the ship.
I walked into a small family's room, the sadness in the room palpable.
It was terrifying what damage these bastards did in such a small time.
Their deaths were on my head and here I was, conveniently disconnected to my feelings. I felt like hitting my head on the wall or something but there was no time.
My wife was in the hospital, my child was in this tiny cot with an oxygen mask instead of the incubator I'd made for him and then a family had been ripped apart because of this enemy in Zorvath.
It increased my decision to cut him down immediately we set eyes on each other.
I watched the small boy look at me as I touched his father and he disappeared, shocking him.
“Your Majesty, are we safe?” he asked, drawing strength out of nowhere.
“Yes, and I'm sorry for what happened Ma'am. We'll make sure it never happens again,” I assured the human woman at the end.
“Will.. will be at least get justice?” She asked me, her eyes welling up with tears.
“That is a promise, Ma'am. Everybody involved in this will die a painful death. Your queen has already taken care of those that came in here but the rest of the chain, up to who sent them will be dealt with, I swear it.”
Thus began the double preparations for the next two weeks; for the battle chasing us rapidly and for the one we were speeding towards.
