Horse Ride Date
“Where are we going, Xavier?” Elaine popped the question that had been on her mind since they started the journey to the destination of their date. It was late into the afternoon and as he proposed in the morning, they were going to a date after a while and she couldn’t be more excited for the day so she dressed her best.
She wore a red knee-length gown that did the job of hugging her curves tightly and it exposed her shoulders as the strap was tied around her neck. Clutching her purse, she looked outside the window as they passed through the series of cars and then trees. She wondered where they were heading as the car had been moving for the past hour.
“You’d want to call me with an endearment, hmm?”
“What kind?” She shot him a smile, ready for the teasing that she had in mind. “Something like sugar plum, Honey well, baby boo?”
She burst into laughter at the look that settled on Xavier’s face. He cringed hard.
“The fuck are those cringy names for. You wouldn’t call me any of these.”
“Perhaps buttercup?”
“Stop. I’d prefer my name.”
Her laughter increased and she held her tummy as the laughter intensified. He looked really funny with the look on his face. His brows were furrowed hard and his lips were in a tight line. “What? It’s not that serious.”
“I’d appreciate the name that my mother gave me at birth.”
“That’s sad. I would’ve loved to call you babe.”
“That’s bearable.”
“But you said you prefer your name, didn’t you?” She twirled her hair with her fingers.
“Call me whatever, doll.”
“Fine.”
Finally, their car pulled before a field. She looked outside with wide eyes, recognizing the field at first sight.
“Xavier,” she called. “Is this place what I’m thinking?” She immediately unbuckled her seatbelt and hopped out of the car, her feet taking her forward. Xavier followed after her with his hands dipped into his pocket.
“What do you think this place is?”
“Is this really a horse field? Oh my?”
She exclaimed as her eyes scanned the entire field before her eyes settled on the horses in a stable at the other end of the field. “This place is beautiful.”
“You’ve been in a horse field before?
“Never. This is a first.”
“Then be ready for a good ride.”
He grasped her hands in his and led her forward into the field, heading toward a large tree where a horse was tied with a slightly short woman feeding it from his palm.
At the sight of them, the woman patted the horse and bowed her head in greeting. “Mr Romano.”
“Edith,” he acknowledged. “You seem to be doing a good job.”
“I can’t let your pay go to waste, sir.”
Xavier nodded, stepping toward the brown horse and patting its head. Elaine stepped behind him, her eyes fixated on the brown horse that looked so big and beautiful. She couldn’t help but step and touch its head too. It was her first time seeing a horse so close and just the sight of close was enough to tell her that it was going to become her favorite animal from then.
“You like it?” Xavier cocked his head to the side to stare at her.
“I love it.”
“So tell me, is this a better date than one in a fancy restaurant? Tell me what you like more.”
She almost laughed at his words like he just told a joke. Perhaps he did because a fancy restaurant and all of that romantic stuff there didn’t go close to one in a horse field with a man like Xavier willing to teach her how to ride a horse from start. It was a fucking dream come true. She wasn’t sure that she would rate fancy restaurants after this.
Honestly, when Xavier told her they were coming out for a date, she had thought that it would be in a fancy restaurant that fit his image. But he managed to exceed her expectations like always.
“This is way more better than fancy restaurant dates. I’ll pick this over and over again.”
Xavier smiled as he led the horse away from the tree and then to the middle of the field.
“I’m not dressed for a horse ride, Xavier.”
“Edith will fix that. Go with her.”
Elaine did as he asked and went to a small workhouse at the side of the field and soon came back dressed for horse riding.
She scrambled toward him. “How do I look?”
Xavier swallowed as his eyes skimmed through her appearance, his lips coming between his teeth. “Gorgeous.” She looked more than gorgeous dressed in a black long-sleeve light shirt that hugged her body, her boobs especially, and a pink jean with a boot that stopped at the top of her knees. He nodded in satisfaction. How did she manage to look gorgeous in whatever she wore?
“You look perfect in this. Sexy in fact. Come here.”
She drew close to him and his lips fell on hers, moving over hers in a slow passionate kiss that made her wrap her arms around his neck and savor the kiss to the fullest. Before their kiss could escalate further, he pulled away from her slowly and pushed her slightly.
“You’re going to make me take you in front of the horses if you don’t stop.”
She bit her lips. “I don’t mind.”
“You’re one naughty girl, aren’t you, wife?” He grinned. “Too bad I brought you here for a date and not to fuck you. But don’t get me wrong, it can always be changed.”
“I look forward to that change.”
“Mount on, already.”
“You have to help me, husband.”
He held her waist and helped her mount the horse before getting in after her, settling behind her on the horse while positioning her hands to hold the rim.
“You comfortable?”
“I am. I'm nervous. Aren't we too heavy for the poor horse?”
“You think your weight is anything?”
