Secret Revealed

‘What’s with the noise downstairs?’ Elaine wondered as she put the last dress into her suitcase before rolling it to the entrance of the door. It was the last day of their stay in the Rock mansion and only she knew how much joy she felt for finally leaving the suffocating environment.

Her morning sickness was increasing, making Xavier suspicious of her. Twice, she’s woken up abruptly only to run into the bathroom and puke her guts out. When he pressed her to go to the hospital, she blamed it on the change of environment. Maybe that was why they were leaving a day earlier. Xavier had told her mother he had something to deal with.

She didn’t argue, after all, he’d been away from his work to please her.

The noise downstairs increased, getting Elaine’s attention, and in a quest to find out what the issue was, she stepped out of the room and headed down the stairs.

Once she got down, she walked in the direction of the voices, eyes widening at the scene that played in front of her.

“What is going on?” She stood before Ria and Emily, watching the scene before her.

“I’ll fucking kill you, bitch. How dare you,” Grata grabbed Diana’s hair, pulling at it painfully. She rushed to their side, attempting to pull them away from each other.

“Greta, stop. What’s going on? Why isn’t anyone trying to stop them?” She pulled Greta.

“Let go of me. I’ll fucking kill her today.”

“What happened?”

Greta fumed.

“She’s been fucking my husband behind my back. She’s been sleeping with him yet smiling at my face every morning. I caught them fucking in the kitchen.”

Elaine’s eyes fell on Diana’s appearance. Her top and shorts were missing and she was standing before everyone in just her bra and panties. So Greta found out after all and Diana’s secret was finally out in front of everyone. God save her if she walks out of the Rock mansion alive.

“Calm down, Greta, we can talk about this.”

“Talk about what? Oh my God, I’m going to skin them both alive.”

“You weren’t enough for him. That was why he came to me, begging,” Diana retaliated.

Fredrick shook his head and rushed to Greta, his voice shaky and unsettling. “That is a lie, babe. She came to me. She seduced me, she said Luke’s dick was too small for her and she needed mine. I only took pity on her.”

“You bastard. You begged me first.”

“Arhhhhhhhh,” Greta screamed, trying to break free from Elaine’s hold. “Fucking let go of me.”

“Y’all calm down.”

“Calm down? What if she’s fucking your husband too?”

Elaine’s eyes widened. She raised her head to stare at Xavier who looked away from his phone, uninterested in the drama. He glared at Greta as if warning her not to speak about him with the filthy mouth of hers.

“You’re not in your right state of mind right now.”

“You both, trust me. You two will go down, I'll make sure of it. I'll make sure this whole family goes down.”

Diana rolled her eyes. “Don’t bring the family into this. Just because your family is more powerful doesn't mean you should act like a bitch.”

Before Elaine could try to calm her cousin-in-law again, Greta jerked her body from her hold and pushed her backward. She screamed as her body hurled backward, waiting for the fall that might break her spine but then her body was suddenly jerked forward and she fell into strong arms.

She raised her head.

“Xa…Xavier?”

She straightened. “Thank you.”

“Be careful next time.”

She nodded and returned her attention to the two women who were clutching each other’s hair and punching the hell out of each other. She sighed. She’d almost broken her spine when she would’ve watched them fight like the others. Beside her, she heard Emily and Ria’s giggle.

“Serves them right. I never liked their friendship,” Emily commented.

“I know right.”

At the side, Luke and Fredrick lunged at each other, exchanging blows while the family members shifted backward, giving them space to contest.

Greta stood up, arranging her dress, eyes glaring daggers at Diana. “If you don’t know, I also slept with Luke once.”

“What?” Everyone’s eyes almost popped out of their sockets. It seemed the drama wasn’t over yet. There were still more secrets to be unleashed.

“You slept with Luke?” Diana asked in disbelief, her eyes darting to look at her husband.

“Once. I also slept with him.”

“You bitch. Then we’re even. We slept with each other’s husbands.”

Greta let out a menacing laughter, her head thrown back and her hands on her waist. “No, we’re not even. I did it once and you did it over and over again.”

“You’re a lunatic.”

Xavier rolled his eyes before finally deciding to leave the scene. Grabbing Elaine's hand, he led her toward the front door of the Rock mansion.

“Where are we going?”

“We’re leaving of course.”

“Wait, our luggage.” Plus, she wasn’t done watching the fight. It looked like things were only just getting spicer.

“Someone’s going to get it.”

“Xavier, wait for a while,” she pressed but he only dragged her out of the mansion toward the waiting car.

“Xavier dear.” Their heads whipped around to meet with Biana who hurried toward them.

“Mrs Rock.”

“I’m so sorry for our children’s behavior. They aren’t usually like this. Do forgive us.”

Elaine almost giggled. Not usually like that? Every year, it’s one drama or the other. They’re always fighting.

“I understand. We’re taking our leave now.”

“Right, here. I packed some food.” She handed them a box. “Elaine’s favorites. Thanks for coming.”

“Pleasure is mine.”
