I'll Have To Destroy Him

Storming into Margaret’s study room was Xavier. He pushed the servants who tried to stop him aside and kicked the door of the study room open, the maids rushing behind him to explain themselves. His eyes fell on the woman seated across from the other side of the room, her eyes raised from her iPad to stare at him.

“Ma’am we tried to stop him,” the maids explained.

“Get out.”

Immediately, they bowed their heads and filed out of the room, leaving their boss with the angry dangerous man.

“What are you doing barging into my mansion and personal space without permission, dear brother?”

He stepped toward her, banging his fist on the table once he stood closer to her with just the table being their separation.

“You’re pushing my buttons, Margaret.”

“What buttons? Tell me, what have I done now? You always find fault in me anyway.”

“What have you done?” He chuckled. “You no longer know who you’re messing with, right? Should I remind you?”

“Of course, I know you, my darling little brother. Do leave if you have nothing to say to me.” At that, she returned her gaze to her iPad, scrolling through it and spitting Xavier the more. But he wasn’t someone to be stepped upon. With anger washing through him, he grabbed the iPad and threw it across the room, the clanging sound of the device colliding with the floor reverberating in the room. Margaret stared at him in disbelief.

“What the fuck?” She sprang up from her chair, her hand shot up to hit him on his cheek but he was way faster as he caught her wrist before her palm could get to his cheek.

“Don’t you even dare, Margaret?”

“How dare you come in here and destroy my device. You know what important things are in there.”

“Damn me if I care. When I speak to you next time, your attention should be solely on me.”

They involved in a glaring fest, her eyes glaring at him, hatred laced in them. “Just because you’re the heir of the family’s business doesn’t give you the right to speak to me that was. I’m still your older sister.”

“And what on earth gave you the balls to try and steal from me, huh? You don’t know your place anymore?”

“Wh…what do you mean?” She avoided his gaze, snatching her wrist away from him and settling back down on her chair. “Don’t accuse me of something you don’t know.”

“You thought you were going to steal from me and I wouldn’t find out? Then I should tell you that those man babies you sent are in my car’s booth.”

“What?”

“You heard me correctly. I’m letting this slide this time because you’re my sister. I’ll still consider the blood relation that we have and won’t take you as a rival.” With his forefinger pointed at her, he warned. The next time something like this happens and you get involved in men’s business, I’ll treat you like a man, get it?”

Margaret slammed her palms on her table, rising to face her brother. “So what? I can still be more powerful than you are if I want to.”

He chuckled at her pathetic attempt to intimidate him. His dear sister was becoming a pain in his ass with every day that passed and if she didn't stop, he would forget whatever relationship they had and treat her like a stranger.

“I’ll try and act like I don’t know how broke you and your goddamn family are. Wasn’t that why you tried to steal from me? To become more powerful again? I dare you. Take this as a last warning and stay away from me, Margie or you’ll learn the hard way.”

“What are you going to do, kill me?”

“I can do worse.” He turned, heading toward the door but before he could get to the door, he stopped. Cocking his head to the side, he spoke.

“And Margaret, if you’re doing all of these for your incompetent son, I’m afraid I’ll have to destroy him.”

Margaret yelled. “You son of a bitch. If you touch even a strand of my son’s hair, I’ll wipe you from the face of the earth.”

“I’d love to see you try.”

“Just leave.”

“Farewell.”

Stepping out of the study room, he started making his way out of the suffocating mansion, his footsteps echoing in the lone hallways. Before he could get to the main door, Jimmy and Ria swooped in his way, blocking his path.

“Get the fuck out of my way,” he ordered.

“We…we’re just going to say hi,” Jimmy lowered his head. “I see you're angry at Mother, please forgive her.”

Ria did the same. “Yes, Mr Romano. Mother is a bit irrational sometimes. Forgive us.”

A roar of laughter reverberated in the room. Xavier threw his head back and let out a shrilling laughter.

“If you’re both saying this to get to my good books and free you from wretchedness, then you have to try harder. It still won’t work even if you grovel at my feet.” His eyes fell on Ria’s swollen belly in the sundress that she wore. A smirk rode up his lips. Having a baby when they’re so broke. It would feel like a life sentence to them.

“At least for our baby. Our baby can’t suffer, please. The baby did nothing wrong to deserve this,” Jimmy pleaded.

“I wasn’t there when you made the baby and you for sure didn’t ask for my help when you were making the baby. Take care of your responsibility now that you’re going to be a father. Stop being a Momma's boy.” He patted Jimmy’s shoulders. “And Jimmy.”

“Ye…yes?”

“Make sure your mother doesn’t spite me again if you both don’t want to die at a young age, understood?”

“Ye…yes.”

“Now, get out of my way. My wife is waiting.”
