The Wish
After dinner, everyone leaned back on their chairs, engrossed in one conversation or the other, occasionally eating from the large cake that sat in the middle of the table.
Sitting opposite Elaine was Mrs Romano and the grandmother and on Elaine’s right was Beth and Rigel who couldn’t stop arguing with each other. But nobody bothered to pay attention to them, after all, they were engrossed in their own conversations.
Finding it at the right time, Elaine pulled her chair closer to Xavier and leaned into his arms, pulling him to her. “What did you wish for?” She raised a brow, her lips stretched into a smile as she awaited his reply.
“Interesting. Do you always get interested in people’s wishes?”
“It’s just you. It’s not like I can grant wishes.”
“Hmm,” a low hum rumbled from his chest. With his thumb, he swiped the cake cream at the corner of her lips, and with his eyes on her, he raised the thumb to his lips and sucked on it, the intimate activity spreading burns to Elaine’s spine. She immediately looked away at the guests at the table to see if anyone caught sight of that scene and she let out a sigh when she saw that everyone was too engrossed in their conversations to notice them.
“The cake tastes perfect on your lips. Should we try the theory more?” He cocked his head to the side and passed her a teasing look.
She smacked his arm playfully. “Your mother and grandmother are with us. Stop flirting,” she whispered, gritting her teeth.
“What? They know we do great fucks.”
Her eyes widened at his words and she darted her hands forward to clamp it on his mouth before he had a chance of doing anything.
“You’re going to put us in trouble. I’m not letting this mouth of yours go.” But she had to when his tongue swiped on her palm and that single act of his traveled all the way to her core. She cleared her throat, pulled away from him, and leaned back on her chair.
“I’m not talking to you anymore.”
“You want me to chase them out so it’s just the both of us?”
“And then you watch your mother throw her shoes to your head.”
A deep chuckle did he let out. He had no intention of giving her space for the night and so he laid his hand around her shoulder and pulled her to his chest, his nose breathing in her orchid perfume that managed to get to him all the damn time. “Perhaps they’ve overstayed their welcome?”
She looked up at him only for her eyes to drift to his red kissable lips and fuck, she was almost tempted to ask everyone to leave. Maybe Xavier is right and they’ve overstayed their welcome. As his eyes fell on her lips, his hand rode up to her neck and slowly leaned into her.
But just before their lips could touch, someone cleared their throat from opposite them.
Elaine quickly pushed him off her, smoothened her hair, and looked at the guests only to find their eyes on them. “Y’all can’t wait for us to leave?” Mrs Romano teased.
“Umm, it’s…it’s not what you’re thinking,” she tried to deny, her face burning a bright shade of red.
“It’s not? This is so cringy. We can watch you two make love before us. I guess it’s time that we get out of your sight, hmm?” She lazily got up from her chair and gestured for every other person to do same.
“Mother, it’s not like that. Where are y’all going?”
Mrs Romano rounded the table to stand before Elaine. “No dear, we need to leave if we need little Xavier or Elaine running around the mansion. It’s a perfect night.”
Elaine looked at Xavier, waiting for him to say something but he only nodded at her in support of his mother. “Are you serious, right now?” She scoffed.
“Well, they want to leave. We can’t stop them.”
Beth stepped before her and pointed to the small shopping bag on the empty chair in the dining hall. “I didn’t bring a birthday gift for your husband but I brought it for you.” She leaned in to whisper into her ears. “Make sure to use it effectively and produce minis for us. I can’t wait to be an aunty for real.”
With that, everyone began filing out of the room one after the other before they finally gathered at the exit and waved their last goodbye. They finally left the house and only after their cars drove out of the estate did Elaine turn slowly to face Xavier who now leaned against the table, his legs crossed while he gazed at her like she was his prey. Perhaps she was? For tonight.
Elaine cleared her throat. She knew exactly what was going on in the mind of her husband and she knew that after tonight, she might not be able to walk ever again.
“Umm, we should clear up.” She avoided his gaze, her hands rubbing on her nape.
“I’d rather clear you up.”
“Don’t be flirty. I’m tired.” Escaping him, she knew was impossible. She intended to walk past him to the plates but he held her arm and pulled her against him so that her body crashed against his.
He cocked his head to the side, his brows raised and his white teeth out in a cocky smile. “I wonder where my dear wife keeps running to. The good news is that we’re all alone in this whole house. What activity can we perform?”
“We could just watch Netflix and then go to bed. Sounds like a perfect idea as we have work in the morning.”
“Convincing but not convincing.”
Slowly, he peeled away from her and swiftly changed their positions. Now, she sat on the table sandwiched between her husband and the table with his hands on both sides of her.
“Did you have a fill of the food?”
“I did.” Her words were breathy and barely audible. He pushed closer to her and his fingers pushed her hair off her face and body.
“Great. I didn’t. So I guess we can make it up to me.”
“How?”
“You don’t know?” His lips fell on her neck, his nose running across her skin. “The plans I have for you.”
“I don’t know.”
He chuckled and with a swipe of his fingers, the straps of her dress slid down to her arms. “Now you know. You wore this dress for me, didn’t you?” He whispered breathily, his eyes falling on the satin dress that she wore that hugged her curves fully and defined her plump breasts. He’d imagined his hand and lips on them ever since he stepped into the mansion and saw her.
“It’s pretty and I like it.”
With another swipe of his fingers, the upper part of the dress fell to her waist, leaving her upper body bare to his eyes, and fuck, she was without bra. Her red nipples stood perkily at him, calling his attention. He wrapped his fingers around her neck and pulled their faces together, their foreheads on each other.
“You’re a goner tonight,” she swore with promises. “Fuck.” He abruptly pulled her and crashed their lips together, their lips engaging in a ferocious kiss. She wound her legs around his waist and pulled him closer to herself, her hands wrapping around his neck.
His kiss was deep and wet and messy. Desperate. His hands roamed all over her body, stopping a while at her left breast to give it a good squeeze. He was rough and unrelenting and goodness knew that she wouldn’t have it any other way.
Once they pulled away to catch their breaths, their actions became filled with a renewed sense of urgency.
“We should go to the room,” she whispered, trying to catch her breath as her body moved against his for friction.
“We don’t need to.” His hands swiped on the table, causing the plates to utensils to crash on the floor, the sound echoing in the house.
“You have ten seconds to bend over the table before I lose my shit.”
He watched as she urgently slipped away from the table and did as he asked, bending over the table, her hands clutching both sides tightly.
She became breathless in excitement as he nudged her thighs apart and loomed over her.
Surely, no one was having a rest tonight.
