Your Family Is Truly Messed
“I wasn't forced into anything, Sam. Get it out of your head. It was consensual.”
Sam shook her more, demanding the answers he needed to hear. “I know the kind of man he is.”
Xavier grabbed Elaine’s arms, breaking her free from his hold. “You're going to hurt her skin if you keep holding her that way.”
“And what is it to you?”
“She's my wife.”
“She's my sister.”
“Cousin.”
“As if.”
Elaine grunted. She'd only woken up to grab water from the refrigerator and now this? They were both acting like kids when in fact, they were grown-ass men.
“You both are fighting for what happened years ago? That's childish.”
“You know how much I fucking loved the chick, Elaine.”
Xavier’s lips twitched. “She didn't seem to feel the same way, at least not when she was begging for my….”
“Xavier!” She interrupted before he could complete his filthy words. She hadn't forgotten how shameless he was. “Sam, leave, okay? We’ll speak about this later.”
“Tha…”
“Just go.”
Giving Xavier a warning look, Sam retreated backward until he was at the door, pushing it open and storming out of sight. Amongst all Elaine’s cousins, luckily he was the least annoying and a bit closer to her than the rest of them. She could tolerate him.
Once he was gone, she turned to Xavier who was already filling a glass with cold water and guiding it to his lips. She folded her hand under her chest.
“Why are you staring at me like that, doll?”
“Sleeping with someone’s girlfriend? Disgusting.”
He laughed. “Don't blame me. I wasn't the one who was unable to satisfy my girlfriend.”
“It's disgusting regardless. Jezz, you're impossible. What sane person sleeps with someone else’s girlfriend.”
“She offered, I was single, and I accepted. But that was a long time ago, doll. Doesn't matter anymore.”
“Tsk. Like I care.”
She extended her hand to hold the can of water behind him but before her hand could get to it, he suddenly pulled her to himself and retreated backward to the other end of the kitchen, right beside the refrigerator.
“Wh…” he clapped a hand around her mouth.
“Shhh, someone’s coming,” he breathed into her ears. Elaine felt her heart flew Into her throat. He held her close to himself, her back to his front while his hand wrapped around her waist. Before she could protest further, the noises got to her ears and the door of the kitchen pushed open.
Elaine’s blood ran cold as two people entered the kitchen, their hands all over each other as they kissed. She angled her head in a better position, eyes widening when she caught sight of their faces. Diana and Fredrick? What the fuck?
They were fucking cheating in the kitchen. Diana was Luke’s wife and Fredrick, her useless cousin, was married to someone else. Her mouth fell open. She thought she’d seen it all in the messy family of hers but she was mistaken. It was just the tip of the iceberg that she saw. Their shamelessness was on a different level.
“Rick, stop, we’re in the kitchen. Someone might see us here.”
Fredrick continued his ministrations on her neck.
“No one’s going to see us.” He breathed into her ears. “And even if they do, I’ll protect you, okay?”
Diana’s cheek turned crimson red, her thighs parting to accommodate the big man.
“Your cousin won’t take this lightly if he finds out we’ve been doing this since we met.”
“He can fucking go to hell for all I care. You taste divine, my sweet,” Fredrick groaned, his tongue drifting from her neck downward to her breast, licking her through the flimsy night dress that she wore.
“And your wife?”
“You know the situation around our wedding. I only married her for her father’s money, hmm?”
Diana moaned as he took her nipples in his mouth, sucking and biting the flesh. “Ahh, Ricko. “
“Hush, baby.”
Elaine cringed hard as she watched their situation, her eyes glaring at them in disgust. If it wasn’t for Xavier’s hand around her waist, she would have stormed to them and dragged their ass in front of everyone.
“Let’s take this upstairs.”
She breathed a sigh of relief when they scrambled from the kitchen, hands still around each other. She can’t wait to watch the drama unfold before her when Greta, Fredrick’s wife, finds out that her husband is having an affair with his cousin’s wife. They would be doomed then.
“Doll.”
She jumped as Xavier suddenly spoke into her ears, her breath accelerating at the position they were in. He still had his hand wound her waist and his chest to her back. She felt her toes curling at every breath he took. He was close to her, probably too close for her heart.
“Ye…yes?”
“You’re holding my hand.” Elaine’s gaze fell on her hand around the hand that held her waist. Turned out she was the one holding his hand to her waist all this while. She immediately broke away and took steps back.
“What are you here for, doll? It’s late into the night.”
“Water and you?”
“Water. Seems your family is truly messed up.” He chuckled.
“I warned you. This is just the tip of the iceberg.” It was only the first day and they were already seeing things that they shouldn’t be seeing. They already proved how stupid they could get.
“Everyone sleeping with each other’s wives, huh?”
“It’s not funny.”
He had a smirk plastered on his lips as he turned to turn her a glass of water.
“Here.” He passed it to her. “Hilarious. Your family is fun.”
“You wish.”
Once she finished drinking the water he poured for her, she returned the glass to him.
“Go back to bed, doll. It’s late.”
She rolled her eyes, making her way out of the kitchen. She wasn’t sure she would be able to sleep peacefully tonight. Not with the noises at every corner of the house.
