Freshly Fucked

A groan escaped Elaine’s throat as she presided her eyes open, her gaze fixated on the high unfamiliar ceiling above her head. Key word, unfamiliar. It was neither her room in the Rock’s mansion nor Xavier’s. As she tried to sit up on the bed, the weight around her waist kept her down, eliciting another groan from her. Why does she feel like there was something heavy wrapped around her body?

Her eyes widened, falling on Xavier beside her. He has his hand wrapped around her waist and his face. Good lord, his face was directly on her neck. He was almost crushing her with his body, his breath fanning her neck.

She wondered how on earth they got into the position and how she moved from her side of the bed to his. But knowing the kind of sleeper that she was, it was no surprise. She must have rolled over to his side of the bed.

“Xavier?” She called softly as the ray of sunlight from the window got to her. Although his hold was comfortable, they had to get up for the day. It was morning already. Her breath hitched when he shifted closer to her, his mouth now directly on her skin, and her body tensed.

Suddenly, she felt his lips moving on her neck, sucking on her soft skin and biting at intervals.

“Xavier.” She pushed him away, his eyes snapping open at the abruptness of her push.

“The fuck? Learn to wake someone up more calmly.”

Her hands flew to her neck, caressing the assaulted skin.
“Are you perhaps a vampire? Who bites someone in their sleep?”

His eyes fell on her neck, widening at the purplish skin right below her throat. “Fuck. I thought that…” Shit. Did he fucking bite her in his sleep? Goodness. Maybe if she hadn’t made an appearance in his dream, she wouldn’t have been punished.

“Purple looks good on you though.”

“You expect me to walk out like this?”

He raised a brow.

“Like how? You’re not looking freshly fucked. It was only a hickey.”

Only a hickey? Only if he knew how much her heart was thumping at his act right after she woke up. Her heart was threatening to burst out of her chest and she feared he could hear the sound of her heartbeat.

“You don’t assault someone in your sleep.”

“You look like you enjoyed it. The crimson red on your cheek tells me all I need to know.”

She threw him a pillow, rising from the bed to head into the bathroom. Before she could make her way toward the bathroom, he asked.

“Where are you going?”

“To have my bath and go downstairs. We’re in your parent’s house Xavier. If I don’t go downstairs now, it will create a bad reputation for me.”

“We’ll go downstairs together.”

“You’re still in bed.”

“If you want this to look real, Doll, you have to wait.”

“Fine!” She swerved around. “Get the fuck out of bed then.”

They took their bath in turns before making their way out of the room together, hand in hand. They made their way downstairs to the dining hall where breakfast was already laid on the table, the family members well seated for the meal. Every eye darted at them as they made an appearance, their judgy eyes on them.

“Anyone would have thought that you both would spend the whole day upstairs,” Margaret started, her eyes on Elaine’s neck where the hickey stood. “If you both wanted to have sex, you would have gone home.”

“Margaret,” Mrs. Romano hissed. “It’s barely nine am and you’re bringing another drama?”

“It’s no drama. Look what everyone is saying about her now. This might ruin our reputation.”

Leading her to the empty chairs on the side of his mother, Xavier dragged out a chair for her. Elaine’s eyes raked around the tense dining hall, wondering why everyone’s eyes were on her, judgy eyes. Ria eyed her and at the same time the news article on her phone.

“What’s going on? Did I do something?”

“Something?” Margaret dropped her fork. “The Romano family’s reputation is at stake because of you.”

Xavier’s eyes whipped to her. “What happened?”

“If you’re not too busy with your little girlfriend, you would’ve known what’s going on.”

“You’re crazy, Margaret.” Realizing he wouldn’t get an answer from his sister, he turned to his father. “What’s going on.”

“Why don’t you check your phone?”

He fished out his phone from his pocket, his finger quickly clicking on the recent and most trending headlines. As his eyes skimmed through the article, they darkened, fingers fisting in anger.

“Give it.” Elaine snatched the phone from him, reading through the article that made her eyes roll. They would never stop, would they?”

They would never stop trolling her and publishing fake news about her. They called her a gold digger and whore who sleeps with men of higher grounds to get to where she was. A whore who seduces Xavier Romano just because of his wealth. They called her names, all sorts of names.

“Thank goodness not only me thinks of you this way, Elaine. A whore. You’re only with my brother because of your gains.”

“Mother, calm down,” Jimmy spoke.

“You’re going to defend her? She cheated on you with Xavier and even bullied the one you really love. She’s a disgusting whore.”

Suddenly, the food felt like a liability to Elaine, her appetite gone at Margaret's words. She was pushed to her limit already. Staring at her, she spat.

“Coming from someone who had a child at 18,” she rolled her eyes. “You know what I think, Margaret? You should be the last person to speak about me, really.”

Margaret sprang up from her chair, throwing an empty plate at her in anger but before the plate could get to her, Xavier caught it in his hand, throwing it back to the table.

“Sit the fuck down, Margaret. This is a last warning, if you so much as speak to her again, I’ll fucking throw you out.” Taking Elaine’s hand in his, he helped her stand up.

“Where are you going?”

“This ain’t going to affect our reputation. We’re getting married in less than a week. Don’t attend.”
