Your Mother Is A Whore
“You’re fucking pathetic, Ria. And trust me, you’ll never be able to live up to Elaine’s way in anyone’s heart. No one wants a jealous lying bitch. It’s disgusting as hell.”
As Jimmy turned his back to her, heading back to his car, she chased after him until she stood before him, stopping him in his tracks while spreading her hands before him, not letting him take another step as her eyes brewed with anger.
“What did you say? What did you just say to me, Jimmy?” She punched in his chest harshly with his fist. “What did you fucking say.”
Jimmy caught her hands in his and pushed her backward lightly, his eyes glaring daggers at her. “You heard what I said. If you don’t change, don’t expect me to take you back into my life.”
“Take me back?” She burst into laughter.
“You think that I’ll plead with you to take me back? In your fucking dreams.”
“Get the hell out of my way.”
“Let me tell you, Jimmy. You’re just a boy. You can’t even do anything without your uncle’s permission. No one wants a husband like you either. You can go to hell for all I care.”
“Well, remember that we’re still married, Ria. Don’t you dare think of spreading that pussy of yours outside when you still beat my last name? Though I wouldn’t be surprised, considering how much of a whore you are.”
He lightly pushed her out of his way and began making his way to his car, leaving Ria standing there on her own while trying to process his words. Anger soon washed over her. She snapped to look behind her at the path where Jimmy walked and she took off her heels before throwing it in his direction, the whooshing sound of the heel filling her ears. It flew all the way to Jimmy and hit him on his head.
“Your mother is the fucking whore. How dare you call me that? You and your goddamn mother are the fucking whores. She spreads her legs for every cock in town.”
With that being yelled, she turned and ran to her car, flinging the door open and slipping into the driver's seat. Without a second glance at her husband who stared at her heel with a red face, she drove out of the premises, heading to the only place where she was accepted. To meet her friend- Iris.
At least, there was a friend who she could discuss things with. One who didn’t see her as a ladder to climb up the top. She was grateful to the almighty that there was at least a single genuine friend in her life.
The car rolled into the parking space of Iris’s apartment and she threw herself out of the car, walked to the door, and rang the doorbells so sharply. She folded her hands under her chest and waited for a while before the door opened and Iris’ image popped into the scene. “Oh dear, you look like shit.”
She ushered Ria in and helped her sit on the couches. She then walked to the kitchen and came back with a plate of cookies and tea. I hope this suits your case.”
“I’m so sorry, Ria. What really happened? How did you get caught? You were so careful.”
“No, I thought I was careful. Five, we were almost done.” They were almost done pretending that the fake baby in the eyes of everyone would soon be born. There was just a little time remaining and she ended up getting caught even before she could enjoy all the labor that came with lying.
Accepting the cup of tea from her friend, she brought it to her lips and took a large gulp, letting the warmth of the tears wash over her senses. “Fuck, what do I do?” She was barely able to think.
“We have to devise a plan before Elaine gets steps ahead of us. You know what’ll happen if Elaine wins this battle, Ria, and for the friendship that we share, the sisterhood, I do not want to see you destroyed. Never.”
“You think too lowly of me. I’ll win this battle, just you watch.”
The two girls flinched when they heard a loud bang on the door, the knock so loud that it might wake the dead. Ria raised a brow as the knocking intensified. “What is going on? Are you expecting someone? A lover, a boyfriend, a crush? Tell me who it is?”
“It’s none of the above,” Iris muttered. “It’s a lot worse.”
“Who is it?”
“Your creditor. She has been coming here for days to ask of you and I think you’re doomed.”
Ria, like a flash, sprang up from the couch and raced to the other end of the living room where the walls were covered by curtains. She slammed her back against the wall to make sure that she was invincible and her heart thumped loudly in her chest. It was why she hated being a debtor. It now seems as though her life was being dictated just because of a few bucks and she now has to face the humiliation too.
Iris cleared her throat, composed herself, and began walking her way to the door. Slowly, she pulled the chains and peeled her head out first but the door was flung open, sending her backward, almost tripping over her foot.
“What the fuck, Amelia? You can’t just barge into someone’s house like that. Don’t you have any manners at all?”
“What are you saying? Where is that girl?”
“You better leave my house this instant or I will call the police.”
“You’re the one fucking hiding an offender. What have you become, huh? Where is she, I’m asking again.”
“Elaine is not here.”
Amelia’s eyes trace the entire room and her eyes finally fall on the curtain. She strode to it and pulled it aside, exposing Ria who had her head down. “Found you finally, bitch. You better pay me my money right now or watch me get crazy about it.”
Ria sighed. “Girl, chill. It’s only a few thousand bucks, okay?”
“A few thousand bucks that your husband can't lend you?”
