Chapter 116 Natalie's Battle

The two mutated wild boars loudly chewed on the tender human organs. Although these didn't contain much energy, they tasted quite good.

One boar pierced the liver with its tusk, while the other tried to snatch it away. After a brief tussle, they continued eating separately.

Their master strictly forbade them from killing each other, and these intelligent creatures understood this well. Besides, these two mutated wild boars were a male and a female, and they had been mates before.

Suddenly, the male boar heard something. It turned its head towards the entrance of the alley. Two seconds later, a slender figure appeared, holding a strange long whip.

The male boar immediately caught a sweet scent from this human woman.

An Evolving person!

The male boar grunted twice. The gluttonous female boar, with its egg-sized eyes, glanced at the human woman who had already entered the alley but didn't move at all. It was using its not-so-nimble hooves to break open the human's ribcage, with the tender heart just beneath.

Seeing the female boar unmoved, the male boar grunted again in dissatisfaction, slowly turned its body, and roared at the human, spraying bits of flesh and blood along with its saliva.

A trace of fear flashed through Natalie's heart.

It was normal.

In peaceful times, a man would feel fear seeing another man with a knife, let alone in a post-apocalyptic world where levels were clearly defined. A one-star Evolving person facing two second-level mutated creatures was even more daunting.

After a deep breath, the unease on Natalie's charming face was replaced by determination.

In her mind, the image of William appeared, instantly boosting her courage.

The male boar, already irritable, sensed no danger from the human in front of it and immediately launched an attack. Lowering its head, it charged at Natalie.

A second-level mutated wild boar was much larger than a first-level one, almost the size of a mule. If it hit her, it could crush Natalie's chest.

Knowing the power gap between herself and the second-level mutated creature, Natalie didn't blindly overestimate herself. She glanced at her Air Shield, which could hold for a while longer, and directly used her professional skill—Quadrilateral dance spinning!

The white-grade whip made from Mutated willow twig instantly transformed into countless whip shadows, enveloping Natalie's graceful figure.

This indiscriminate area attack skill was actually more suitable for dealing with groups of targets, like those Candice had to face.

But the mutated wild boar had strong defenses. Among creatures of the same level, its defense was at least above average. William believed this skill of hers couldn't quickly kill a first-level mutated wild boar.

If she couldn't kill them quickly, facing so many injured and irritable beasts would be tough for Natalie.

Using the skill again twice would be enough to kill those boars, although, it would also leave Natalie without combat power. Sacrificing a professional for a group of first-level mutated wild boars was just not worth it.

The second-level mutated male boar didn't expect such a fierce attack from the human. But it was already within the attack range. The whip lashed its body, and the now razor-sharp willow leaves cut through its skin, leaving bloody marks.

Stimulated by the pain, the male boar's eyes turned blood-red. Ignoring the whip shadows, it charged at Natalie, using its innate skill, The Collision of Pigs. Its iron-hard head aimed directly at Natalie.

The Quadrilateral dance spinning skill was incredibly fast. In a short time, the whip struck each area dozens of times, each hit landing on the male boar. Its wounds multiplied, and within a few feet, it was drenched in blood, its original fur color unrecognizable.

Finally, as the skill nearly came to an end, the male boar reached Natalie. Its large head, filled with anger and hatred, slammed into her.

But the boar immediately sensed something was wrong. It was familiar with the feeling of its head hitting a human body. Raising its head slightly, it saw a strange object blocking its way.

It was the Air Shield.

A crisp sound rang out as the Air Shield shattered. The shield had been active for a while and was now hit by the innate skill of a second-level mutated creature, completing its mission and breaking apart.

But the shattering of the Air Shield brought the boar to a complete stop. The massive impact caused its skull to cave in, making it wobble unsteadily.

It was like a car crashing into a wall. If the wall was weak, the car would go through it. If the wall was strong, the car would be stopped. The damage to the car was vastly different in these scenarios. The former damaged the wall, while the latter damaged the car.

The male boar was like this. If it had hit a soft human body, it would have won. But it hit a shield, so it ended up bloodied and battered.

Seeing the male boar severely injured, Natalie didn't hesitate. She lashed her whip between the boar's eyes, right where its skull had caved in. This blow shattered the boar's head. Without a scream, its massive body fell to the ground, convulsing violently, clearly beyond saving.

Natalie sighed in relief, her admiration for William deepening. He had predicted this outcome perfectly. That man always found a way to victory with the resources at hand.

The female boar was stunned for a moment, not expecting the male boar to die so quickly. It spat out the half-eaten heart, its bristles standing on end, and charged fearlessly.

It wanted to avenge its mate!

Unlike the male boar, the female's innate skill was bucktooth thrust. It raised its large, sharp tusks, aiming to pierce through Natalie, toss her into the air, then rip open her chest when she fell!

Natalie began to retreat. She hadn't gone deep into the alley, so with a quick step back, she exited the alley, disappearing from the female boar's sight.

The enraged female boar didn't slow down, charging out. The open road widened its view, but it suddenly realized that in just a second, it had lost track of Natalie.

A sound came from above. The female boar looked up to see Natalie, who had disappeared now descending from above. Her hand had just released a dagger that had been embedded in the wall at the alley's entrance.

Natalie had used the dagger to leap into the air, launching a surprise attack from its blind spot!

The female boar, a second-level mutated creature, had intelligence far beyond ordinary animals. Despite being ambushed, it didn't panic. Instead, it opened its mouth wide, seemingly mocking the human's overconfidence.

Its mockery wasn't baseless. Even under attack, it managed to halt its charge, standing on its hind legs, its tusks aimed at the descending Natalie.

In the next second, the tusks would pierce Natalie's body!
