Chapter 314 Sharing the Danger (Part 1)

David, the guy who came up with the Magic Crystal weapon, was a big deal in his past life. Everyone knew his name.

If David's life had gone the same way before he met William, then William wouldn't have a clue how David got saved back then or what happened to make him so famous later on.

But there was one thing William was certain of: Magic Crystal weapons would not be invented for several more years, and their widespread adoption in the apocalypse would occur even later.

The Magic Crystal weapon was a game-changer. Humanity was barely hanging on, trying to survive against all these mutated creatures. Every city, region, and country was just trying to get by.

The threat of human extinction was real. Then, the Magic Crystal weapon came along, and suddenly, humans weren't just sitting ducks anymore. They could actually fight back against the mutants.

During this time, the number of high-level Evolving people started to skyrocket. The number of nine-star Evolving people more than doubled, all thanks to the Magic Crystal weapons.

In this life, William found David first. Technically, William couldn't really help David out. He didn't know how the Magic Crystal weapon worked or understand its complex structures.

But William did know the basics of making Magic Crystal weapons. This stuff was common knowledge in his past life, and it was enough to give David a head start in this life. David could understand the mysteries of the Magic Crystal weapon years ahead of time and follow a proven path to invent and create.

It was like David was starting on the shoulders of giants, with a way better starting point than in his past life.

This weird-looking thing was a type of Magic Crystal weapon that William knew from his past life—a magic crystal grenade.

The magic crystal grenade was the simplest type of Magic Crystal weapon, good for small-scale killing. Its power in a small area was pretty impressive. Before coming to Accraville City, William spent some time making two of these with David.

Even though these things were everywhere in human settlements in his past life, in this life, the apocalypse had just started, so some of the materials were hard to find. It wasn't that the raw materials were rare, but humans hadn't started mass-producing the necessary parts yet. David and his four assistants had to hand-polish the parts overnight. When William left, they had only made two.

But in this life, the first use of the Magic Crystal weapon was against humans themselves.

Connor's confidence and pride took a huge hit when he saw this dazzling invention.

Connor and his men started putting their gear on the ground—first weapons, then armor, shoes, and Magic Crystals.

Soon, the once arrogant Honor Legion was just a bunch of guys standing around in their underwear, looking totally humiliated.

Patrick, with his strong three-star Evolving person physique, woke up once, but when he saw the state of his companions, he let out a short cry and fainted again.

One thing about the Magic Crystal weapon was that its explosion produced strip-shaped Energy Blades, which were super fine and almost invisible to the naked eye. These Energy Blades would scatter with the explosive force, cutting through everything they hit.

The Energy Blades shredded the zombie fragments and Patrick's legs into pieces.

Connor, head down, walked through the zombie horde controlled by the Red-haired iron corpse and the witch. He didn't say a word, which made William respect him a bit more, even though they were the same age.

Doing pointless stuff would only make William want to kill him, nothing else.

The battlefield was dead quiet. Even the zombies stopped their roaring and just stared at the confused humans with their cloudy eyes.

When Connor got out of the zombie circle and returned to the Honor Legion's spot, the backup forces were all emotional, saying something. Connor just shook his head and kept walking with his men. One small leader-type guy kept pushing his opinion, but Bradley punched his heart to pieces.

With that, different opinions vanished, and the Honor Legion and their backup forces slowly disappeared from the battlefield as losers.

William calmly walked over, picked up the bag of Magic Crystals left by the Honor Legion, and spun the Accurately exchange roulette wheel a few more times.

Five spins got him two professions, two materials, and one formula.

Since the best gear in the weapon area was only white, William decided to skip that.

His luck was so-so, but it was alright. No one's luck was always great.

Then, William also got The Blood of Evolution. Now, he had more than ten drops of it.

The Blood of Evolution around the Poppy roulette wheel vanished, and the huge wheel started sinking into the ground with a lot of noise. This wheel, which had been causing a ruckus in Accraville City for days, finally finished its job and left for now.

But everyone knew it would come back someday, sparking the biggest showdown between humans and mutated life forms.

Next time, there wouldn't be a human like William, because next time, everything would be different.

In the distance, the Mouse King paced back and forth, its tiny eyes darting between William, the human survivors on the edge, and the zombies who ignored William. Finally, it let out a frustrated roar and led its rat horde back into the sewers. No one knew how its fat body fit into such a small entrance.

The witch exchanged a glance with William and gave a command to the controlled zombie horde. These former humans also started to retreat slowly.

William had spun the Accurately exchange roulette wheel all the times!

He had taken all the benefits for himself!

How much guts, strength, and smarts did that take!

Even now, in retrospect, these people couldn't believe that if it were their turn, they could do what William did!

William had hogged all the benefits of the Accurately exchange roulette wheel, and everyone thought he was terrifying.

The forces recruited by the Honor Legion looked at each other and left cautiously. Their fear of this guy named William was deeply ingrained.

The forces that sided with William and the neutral ones slowly surrounded him.

Because on the ground, next to those corpse bits, there were still thousands of pieces of gray-level equipment!
