Chapter 157 Iron Corpse Completed

William stood there, watching quietly. Desmond, still trembling from the pain, was scared out of his wits.

He knew this woman. Just yesterday, he and his buddies had bullied her and tossed her into the corpse pit.

He never thought she'd survive. When he threw Julia down, she was barely alive. But here she was, a day later, still kicking.

The real kicker? William knew all about what went down between him and Julia. It seemed like Julia was taking over the stuff Desmond was supposed to handle. So, what use was he now?

Desmond felt a chill run down his spine, momentarily forgetting his broken bones.

William watched the blood pool. When most of the blood was absorbed by Julia, he quickly used the Edge of the Moon to cut his palm, letting the blood drip into her mouth. To meet the blood requirement, he had to cut himself two more times because he was heeling to quickly.

The blood flowed into Julia's mouth, spreading through her body. Soon, it combined with the black lines from the Magic Crystal on her skin, creating identical patterns.

When the internal and external bloodlines matched perfectly, her body burst into a blinding blood-red light.

William took a couple of steps back, instinctively closing his eyes and staying on guard.

A faint sound of footsteps came from the blood pool. As the blood-red light dimmed, William saw a tall woman walking out. It was Julia, the one he had used to create a Human Puppet.

But she was different now. She wasn't on the brink of death anymore.

Julia had grown taller, almost as tall as William. Her once scarred skin was now healed.

But it wasn't smooth or shiny like human skin. It looked like dry lime, pale with a hint of blue, covered in black patterns. These patterns formed a complete body painting.

This body, filled with unknown power, was perfect. Only the strange skin color reminded William she wasn't human anymore.

Her once beautiful face, which had caught Desmond's eye, was now covered in black patterns. Her eyes were blood-red, glowing faintly.

The most striking feature was her waist-length hair, blood-red and more vivid than fresh blood.

William saw Julia walking out of the blood pool, and she saw him. Their eyes met, and William's mind buzzed, like something had been added to it.

The buzzing and dizziness lasted only a couple of seconds before William realized something had merged into his consciousness.

It was a mysterious feeling he couldn't describe. If he had to put it into words, it was like Julia's consciousness had merged with his, giving him a 'remote control' to command her.

William didn't panic. The weird feeling in his mind was uncomfortable, but he knew it was part of the Human Puppetry spell.

Julia, now a Human Puppet, walked slowly to his side and stood there quietly, like a doll.

Up close, William noticed more changes in her body.

What caught his eye were the patterns on her skin. They weren't just black; they had tiny, crystalline dots. He only noticed them up close.

These dots weren't dense, resembling the crystalline nature of the Magic Crystal.

Her hands were also peculiar. Ignoring the skin and focusing on the shape, they were beautiful. But her ten fingers were sharp, especially the nails, which had pointed, conical tips. Her hands, when relaxed, naturally curved, giving a sense of power.

These were hands made for killing.

Her rough, pale blue skin reminded William of the Stone Skin spell he had seen before. Though it didn't have the heavy rock texture, it was similar. He touched it gently; it was cold and hard, likely very strong for defense.

Is this the Iron corpse?

William circled her, checking her breathing and pulse. Her pulse was there but strange, only a few beats per minute, each one strong. Her breathing was almost nonexistent.

He couldn't tell if this Iron corpse was alive or dead.

Creating a Human Puppet from corpse required the blood of a mutated animal, a zombie virus, a Magic Crystal, an Evolution Elixir, and the master's blood.

William wasn't a scientist and couldn't explain the reaction, but from her skin, eye, and hair color, and body, he guessed that the from corpse combined traits were of Evolving persons, mutated creatures, and zombies.

William tried to talk to the Iron corpse but got no response. However, his commands were executed perfectly. This mental control simplified complex commands. Whatever he needed the Iron corpse to do, it understood immediately, saving a lot of trouble.

Although there were still many unknowns, William didn't mind. He just needed to know that this female Iron corpse was powerful.

His gaze fell on Desmond, thinking he would make a good test subject.

With a command, the Iron corpse moved suddenly, so fast it was hard to follow. It instantly reached Desmond, her right hand piercing his chest. The bones of the Evolving person were as fragile as paper under this attack.

Desmond wanted to scream but found himself powerless. His body trembled violently, and his heart was mercilessly crushed.

The Iron corpse, having completed the fatal blow, stared at Desmond with her blood-red, emotionless eyes. Then, her beautiful lips parted, and she bit into Desmond's neck, greedily sucking his blood.

It was as if she was venting some deep-seated hatred.
