Chapter 75 Seizing the Opportunity to Snatch the Treasure

The burly man, leading the trio, saw Thomas in a military uniform charging towards him. With a cold grunt, his hands violently spread out, his already burly body surprisingly thickened by another round, his legs bent, his belly and back slightly arched, the whole person feeling as if he had transformed into a heavy tank.

William's pupils contracted in surprise.

'Hercules?!' he thought.

The previous spearman was already a professional, while the burly man was also a professional—with a very special and powerful Hercules!

It seemed these three not only encountered a First-Level Roulette and became one-star Evolvers, but they also had the luck to encounter at least a Tri-Color Roulette!

A rumor William had heard in his previous life suddenly echoed in his mind. He recalled, 'It seems that in this city I have walked out of, there is such a powerful trio, but they soon disappear without a trace. Whether they die or something else happens, no one knows.'

But what happened to them later didn't matter and it had nothing to do with William. These three were a huge threat to him right now.

Fortunately, there was this soldier who suddenly appeared.

A Two-Star Evolver, William was correct.

William wouldn't be at all surprised if someone became an evolver or even had a career now. The number of Apocalypse Roulettes was unclear.

There could be one anywhere. The chances of humans encountering them were very high. As long as they saw the Roulette, they would figure out how to use it from the driving mechanism on it.

As long as they were bold and careful, they had a high chance of becoming strong in a short time.

If zombies or even monsters evolved to three levels, four levels, or even higher, William would be surprised but would still believe it. These non-human life forms evolved through energy accumulation.

In a short period, if they could devour and absorb a huge amount of energy, they would eventually grow at a rapid rate.

Some monsters even came from the Dead Zone, a place full of mysteries even ten years into the apocalypse. Apart from knowing that some areas were attacked by golden holy light, humans knew very little about the Dead Zone. It wouldn't be surprising if there were even Ninth-Level monsters there.

But a human becoming a Two-Star Evolver in less than thirty hours since the apocalypse began was something William found hard to believe, even feeling a tinge of jealousy.

He was a reborn person who knew the exact locations of many Roulettes, the levels represented by the colors of zombie and monster crystals, their characteristics and weaknesses, how to become strong, and how to survive better.

But he was still just a One-Star Evolver. If not for his good luck, he might not even be a professional. So how could someone else become a Two-Star Evolver?

William thought, 'Did they spin a Second-Level Roulette? Even if they knew the location of a Second-Level Roulette, there weren't that many two-category mutant creatures to kill. Even if there were any, could they kill them?'

This big question puzzled William, and his ten years of apocalypse experience and knowledge didn't help.

While William was speculating, the Two-Star Evolver soldier had already collided with the burly man.

The burly man was a One-Star Evolver. If he didn't have a profession, or if his profession wasn't Hercules, he definitely couldn't compete with a Two-Star Evolver.

The gap between One-Star and Two-Star Evolvers was insurmountable.

But the Hercules profession was very special. It gave the professional immense strength and a robust body. In terms of strength alone, Hercules could challenge higher levels.

The soldier probably became a Two-Star Evolver by chance this time, so he was overly confident in his strength and chose to charge directly. This played right into Hercules' hands. The burly man took a stance and used one of Hercules' professional skills—Bear Hug.

When the two collided directly, the dull thud made people's teeth ache. After the collision, both lost control of their bodies and staggered back. It took three or four seconds for them to regain their footing.

The burly man was sweating profusely, clutching his chest. Clearly, the collision had drained his mental energy and dealt a significant blow to his body.

Thomas wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, also seriously injured.

In fact, if the soldier Thomas had used any other method, he could have had an absolute advantage.

But he chose the only way the burly man could compete with him, resulting in both men being injured.

The burly man retreated, but his two companions did not. The spearman used the same move he had used against William, likely his professional skill. This time, his timing was better, catching Thomas as he retreated, with the spear shadow almost following Thomas' footsteps.

The spear was precise and ruthless, giving Thomas almost no time to react.

But Thomas was a Two-Star Evolver. He suppressed the shock from the collision and barely managed to sidestep the spear attack. As he moved, a bright light slashed toward him, targeting his evasion spot.

In the next second, the light would cut through his body!

In a moment of crisis, Thomas unleashed the superhuman abilities of a Two-Star Evolver, managing to move his body back from an almost impossible situation.

Since he couldn't dodge the double attack, Thomas chose to take the spear's damage rather than the terrifying light blade.

The spear's sharp tip pierced Thomas' shoulder, where he was already injured, causing blood to gush out.

However, between his shoulder and the spear, there was a hand—Thomas' hand!

In the nick of time, he placed his left hand in front of the spear tip!

So, although this spear pierced his shoulder, it didn't go deep enough to cause any serious injuries to his body.

"Die!" Thomas yelled as he clenched his fingers tightly, rotated his shoulder, and delivered a heavy punch with his other arm.

Peter was sent flying.

"Peter!" The burly man roared in anger, striding forward to help. He saw his companion's face half-caved in by Thomas's punch.

Thomas' face was grim as he watched Louis charge. He pulled out the spear from his shoulder, letting the blood flow freely.

"If it's not yours, Don't try to take it!" With those words, Thomas casually threw the spear.

It seemed effortless, but the strength of a Two-Star Evolver was no small thing. The spear pierced through the air, flying towards the woman who had unleashed the terrifying light blade.

"Owen, dodge!"The burly man couldn't turn back in time and could only shout a warning. He spread his arms and collided with Thomas again.

"The same move. Do you think it will work a second time?" Thomas sneered.

As they got close, he used his pierced hand to press on the burly man's chest, moving with him gently. As the burly man charged forward, Thomas retreated at the same speed.

He used this method to counter the burly man's Bear Hug!

Meanwhile, the woman who could unleash light blades was caught off guard. Despite her efforts to dodge the counterattack, the spear pierced her left side, pinning her to the ground and eliciting a wretched scream.

Thomas, who had gained the upper hand in a short time, was about to deal with the burly man swinging his fists. But before he could act, his expression changed.

"How dare you?!"

The fight with Louis's trio had forced Thomas to retreat, unknowingly moving behind the bag-carrying monster. At this moment, the young man who had kicked the Monster Baby towards him earlier was now nearby, with one hand on the golden bag!
