Chapter 53 Natalie's Weapon

"Sturdy +20."

After the reinforcement, William enchanted the scales reinforced with the Ape-Turtle Croc to obtain this attribute that surprised him greatly.

This shield naturally couldn't compare to the Moonlit Blade, as it was a silver-level weapon. However, the shield could have two additional attributes, making it three when including the base attribute.

The highest attribute of the silver-level Moonlit Blade was sharpness, with the sum of the base and additional values only reaching 20. Yet, this shield's sole attribute was already 20, not to mention the base attribute that William couldn't currently see.

One could imagine how astonishing the defensive power of this shield must be.

William estimated that even if a Second-Level Mutant Ape-Turtle-Croc were to bite the shield with all its might, it wouldn't be able to harm the shield in the slightest.

After one forging, several homogeneous reinforcements, and enchantments, William's mental strength hit rock bottom once again. He had to abandon the idea of forging again and returned to his room.

The Ape-Turtle-Croc egg was almost done baking. Perhaps due to this egg's vitality being stronger than the previous one, William felt the fragrance was even richer.

Although he wasn't hungry, William needed to replenish his mental strength, so he ate a piece to restore some of his depleted energy.

The rest was divided among Natalie, Lucy, and Pill.

The two women didn't eat much, only compared to William and Pill. Their current appetite, compared to their usual intake, made them start worrying about gaining weight. However, the empowering effect they felt after eating made them unable to stop.

The Foodie Pill showed no signs of having eaten a lot of meat and half an egg earlier, with half of the egg now in its belly again.

However, eating more had its benefits. Pill, originally bald, had already grown a thin layer of fur in a short time. At this rate, it wouldn't be long before it turned into a furry dog.

Due to taking the improved strengthening potion and the Ape-Turtle-Croc egg within a day, the power within the two women was boiling. They needed some time to adapt.

Taking advantage of this gap, William performed homogeneous reinforcement on the mutated willow branch and the Ape-Turtle-Croc tail to get a whip about ten feet long and as thick as two fingers.

The material of the whip was unidentifiable, neither metal nor wood. At intervals along its length were slender willow leaves, and one could feel its sharp edge by touching it.

Previously, William had obtained two tongues of the Blood-Tongued Lizard. He and Candice had consumed one, leaving one behind. He then enchanted its power onto the whip, gaining a property of Whip +4.

"What is this?" Natalie, with a slightly better physique, was the first to recover and approached to inquire about the whip emitting a faint white light.

"Try it to see if it works for you. If it does, I'll give it to you," William said.

Natalie's face lit up. In fact, she had long noticed that William's weapons and equipment were somewhat special, always emitting subtle halos, indicating some special effects.

Especially when William returned from outside, the previous knife was gone, replaced by a more beautiful silver war knife and a heavy, ancient-looking white arm shield. All of this proved that William possessed certain special abilities, but she tactfully refrained from asking.

Now, with such a radiant weapon right in front of her, she paid no attention to anything else and immediately praised its effectiveness without even trying it out.

After Natalie tested it outside the door, she had already left deep marks on the corridor walls. Natalie had truly fallen in love with this whip. Anyone who dared to take it from her would become her enemy.

It was normal that Natalie treasured this whip so much. During her test, the cement walls couldn't withstand the power of the whip. Natalie also discovered that when she held the whip, she seemed to merge with it. She could freely control the willow leaves on the whip, letting them adhere to the whip when not needed and stand upright when necessary to attack enemies with their sharp edges.

With some basic gymnastics skills, Natalie instantly felt as if this weapon was tailor-made for her.

With Natalie making the commotion, Lucy had already awakened. Seeing her new friend with such a good weapon, Lucy was happy but also a bit envious. Everyone knew that in an apocalyptic world full of dangers, having such a weapon meant an extra layer of protection for one's life.

However, considering her relationship with William, Lucy didn't hold out much hope.

"What kind of weapon do you want?" William asked Lucy, looking at her.

Lucy hesitated, not expecting William to inquire about her needs. She thought he had already been very accommodating after giving her a bottle of One-Star Evolution Potion, which touched her heart.

She said, "I don't know."

William wasn't surprised by her confusion about the question, as during peacetime, aside from kitchen knives, most people had never really used any weapons.

After pondering with his chin in hand for a while and considering the materials he had at hand, William realized there wasn't anything suitable for Lucy. It seemed he would have to wait until his mental strength recovered a bit to make a Moonlit Blade for her.

In fact, William also wanted to continue eating the Ape-Turtle-Croc eggs to restore his mental strength. However, having eaten twice within a few hours, he was now too full to continue. Moreover, such items that could restore mental strength and enhance physique needed to be saved for critical moments. There was no rush to create a weapon for Lucy at the moment, so it could be postponed for now.

"Are we going to Moon Lake?" Seeing William quietly packing up, Natalie remembered what he had said to Candice earlier.

"Yes," William said solemnly, looking at the two women. "Everything we've done so far has been in preparation for the upcoming actions. I want to tell you what we're about to do is very dangerous. We'll not only face powerful monsters and hordes of zombies but also possibly attacks from our own kind. Do you want to come with me?"

"Yes!" Natalie didn't hesitate to agree. It was then that William noticed that she had already cut her long hair quite a bit, now just drooping beside her ears. This change diminished some of her original charm but added a touch of valor.

Lucy bit her lip and whispered, "Can I help you? If you think I can, I'll go. If you think I'll be a burden, I'll stay behind to look after things."

William smiled, "Let's go together. I only mentioned the possible dangers we might face earlier, but I haven't talked about what we'll gain if we succeed."

The two women looked up at William with brightly shining eyes, eager to know what magical treasures awaited them.

"Many powerful treasures, which are enough to make us one of the strongest entities in this city."
