Chapter 307 Honor Legion and Pandora's Doomsday Crossbow

"Connor, you should've seen their faces right now," The guy said in black and gray leather armor, swinging his long knife that shimmered in the light.

"Focus on your opponent!" Connor's eyes were sharp, and wherever he looked, a fierce flash would slice through the zombies in their path. It was hard to tell if it was a bloodline ability, a skill, or something else.

"Patrick's got this. He's here for the four-star Evolution Elixir, so he's definitely putting in the effort. But me? I'm just here for the ride," the first guy said with a cheeky grin, making young Connor roll his eyes.

"Patrick, how do you feel now that someone else snagged the four-star Evolution Elixir from the Accurately exchange roulette wheel?" Bradley mocked.

Patrick King, dressed in a weird white robe, rolled his eyes. He thrust his iron claw into a zombie's throat, tearing it apart and splattering fluids everywhere.

"Bradley, shut up!" Patrick roared, causing the team to burst into light laughter, easing the tension.

"Fine, I'll shut up. But your four-star wife is still fighting in The Land of Death, and you've brought her an opponent with a level five Battle Pet. Just wait till you get back," Bradley said, squinting. Despite joking, his hands didn't slack. Every swing of his long knife, almost as tall as he was, sliced through zombies effortlessly, clearing a 10-foot radius around him.

"Level five? Just a scare tactic," Patrick scoffed.

Hearing this, Connor, the only four-star Evolving person in the team, glanced in a direction. "Good thing someone saw through his trick. Otherwise, we wouldn't have dared to snatch it, and Patrick's return would have been pointless."

"I owe you all an apology. I didn't pay enough attention to this new force, Cloud Peak Manor, which led to an intelligence error that almost messed up our plan. I'll report it to the commander," Connor said.

"No need for that. Even if a new force has a four-star Evolving person, so what? They're still no match for us. Our focus should be on Zero Commerce Guild. That's who we need to watch. If the opportunity arises, we should make contact with Zero Commerce Guild. What do you all think?" Patrick said.

Patrick's eyes burned with desire as he saw the Accurately exchange roulette wheel not far ahead. As long as they got close and held on for a bit, he could get everything on that wheel.

Even if others got close to the wheel, they didn't have enough Magic Crystals. Only their Honor Legion did!

As the team moved closer to their goal, some forces that had already left the battlefield were watching the sudden change in the situation.

For instance, Ernesto, with the help of professional skills, had the best mobility in the Fierce Roar warband. When they saw the level five Twin-Winged Golden-Eyed Python appear, they rushed over immediately. Thanks to their overall strength, they gained a lot in the previous battle, somewhat making up for their earlier losses.

Take Lawrence's Peaceful warband, for instance. They'd taken a couple of big hits and their strength had dropped a lot. But their steady approach let them keep harassing the major mutated life camps around them. They were one of the first to hit the battlefield today, racking up a bunch of Magic Crystals in no time.

The elite forces of Accraville City were feeling pretty uneasy watching this small team take advantage of everyone, but they knew their limits. Seeing the gear these guys had, they knew better than to mess with them. Plus, these folks hadn't really hurt their interests much. Even without this team, they wouldn't have had a shot at spinning the wheel.

So, they were more worried about William's reaction and had a feeling that two powerful new forces were about to clash.

"This new team is surprisingly strong. How did so many random forces suddenly pop up in Accraville City? Each one is stronger than us," Lawrence said, seeing Ernesto and some other forces they used to team up with.

"Are we that weak?" Ernesto wasn't too happy with Lawrence's comment.

"Aren't we?" Lawrence shot back.

Ernesto and the others were left speechless. Compared to the previous small alliance or this mysterious new force, they were indeed pretty weak.

"The small alliance is strong. This new team won't win easily."

"Not necessarily. This new team picked the perfect time, so perfect that the small alliance has no strength to get back into the fight."

"Maybe."

As everyone chatted, the team reached the wheel. Their efficiency was insane. Even level three zombies didn't last ten seconds against them.

It seemed like the death of the four Zombie Kings had made things a lot easier for them.

"Guys, what do you think about me spinning the wheel first and grabbing the five-star Evolution Elixir?" Bradley asked.

"Go for it, Bradley!"

"Isn't the level four Battle Pet good?"

"We need the bloodline!"

This team of five hundred, taking advantage of the chaos in the zombie camp, reached the center of the battlefield with only a few losses and got right under the Accurately exchange roulette wheel.

Connor heard his team's banter and shook his head, but he didn't think they were wrong. Today was going to be a big win for the Honor Legion! The main force had been fighting hard in The Land of Death every day, trading a ton of Magic Crystals. Today, they deserved a reward. If they really got the five-star Evolution Elixir, they might be able to conquer The Land of Death completely and uncover its ultimate secret!

With a hint of excitement, Connor started spinning the wheel.

This time, it landed on the Materials section.

The team, while still fighting, still had the time to glance back at the spinning wheel and chat.

"Is this The Blood of Evolution? Good stuff, pack it up quickly."

"Spin again!"

The wheel started spinning for the second time.

The light made the entire Accraville City come alive, with survivors and mutated zombies gathering around.

"Weapons section, which one?" Connor asked.

"The silver one," someone shouted.

"Materials section!" Connor called out.

The wheel spun three times in a flash.

Patrick wasn't too focused on the wheel. He kept an eye on the surroundings, especially on the force from Cloud Peak Manor. They were the only ones who could pose a slight threat.

Connor glanced over and noticed that while the members of that faction had begun to withdraw, William remained, observing them intently.

"He still hasn't given up," Connor muttered as he started the fourth spin. "Looks like I need to give him a warning."

As he spoke, a ball of light appeared in Connor's right hand. After lingering for a moment, he threw it to the ground, and instantly, something broke through the earth.

Under the watchful eyes of the surrounding human survivors, a tower-like structure over 10 feet tall emerged. Its black, thick body, resembling metal, gave an impression of immense sturdiness.

The most terrifying part was the massive siege crossbow that appeared at the top of the tower!

The 160-square-foot crossbow had the same material as the tower!

Many were merely surprised by the tower, but their faces changed when they saw the siege crossbow, which was dominating, arrogant and wild!

This was the true feeling the siege crossbow gave. As it drew back, a 16-foot-long metal arrow, glowing white, aimed directly at the approaching Mouse King!

Pandora's Doomsday siege crossbow!

"Connor, you're amazing!" Bradley looked at the towering arrow tower with a crazed look in his eyes.

Why was Connor able to stand out among them and become the first four-star Evolving person? It was because of his profession—Tower Maker!

It was a profession that allowed him to choose different types of tower structures based on the situation, a profession with nearly invincible offensive and defensive capabilities!

Once, Connor had used this profession to kill four level-three mutated beings alone when he was just a two-star Evolving person!

Now, Connor was an intermediate Tower Maker. It was said that this siege crossbow tower was a new professional skill he had learned, capable of firing white-level crossbow bolts, enough to threaten level-five mutated beings!

Currently, the highest evolution level around was level four; no one could dodge the lightning-fast siege crossbow bolt!

Sensing the extreme danger from the siege crossbow, the Mouse King screamed and retreated behind its subordinates, no longer standing but lying on the ground. Its small eyes peered through the gaps in the rat horde, watching the situation ahead. The entire encampment of mutated animals came to a halt several hundred feet away.

The only existence that could threaten the Honor Legion was suppressed by a single siege crossbow tower.

The siege crossbow rotated, occasionally aiming at the Mouse King, the witch, and William, putting immense pressure on all three.

"Another materials section?" Connor frowned as he saw the pointer stop for the fourth time, feeling today's bad luck.

Four spins, three times in the materials section—what bad luck.

"Connor, how about I spin for you?" Patrick asked with a smile.

Connor nodded in agreement. He felt that controlling the arrow tower while spinning the wheel was indeed affecting his luck.

Taking the large backpack from Connor, Patrick pulled out a large number of Magic Crystals and began the fifth spin.

Patrick grinned, "I knew I had better luck than you!"

This time, the pointer stopped in the blueprint section.

"Not that great!" Bradley teased.

In no time, the team had already started the sixth spin!

The onlookers were in disbelief. What seemed difficult for them was as easy as pie for these guys.

Many eyes turned to William, who had once ruled this place. He still stood there, watching them spin the wheel and collect rewards, showing no reaction.

Many people sighed inwardly, thinking, 'If you cannot stop them, then just leave quickly. Watching this isn't a form of torture for you, is it?'

At that moment, people from Star Beauty Company appeared, almost simultaneously with those from Accraville City Prison, Raymond Ellis's forces, and many other elite alliances. The continuous flashing of the wheel had alerted all the forces in Accraville City.

"Who are these people? Do you know?" Everyone was curious about the identity of this mysterious and powerful team.

"No idea, but I know they're formidable, not someone we can mess with. That's enough."

"These people are collecting The Blood of Evolution too quickly; the mutated beings can't even react!"

"What is that giant crossbow? The bolts are white, and even level-four mutated beings have to retreat. It's too powerful."

"But their luck isn't great. Five spins, three times in the materials section, only getting a silver weapon and a blueprint."

"Isn't that good enough? They also got five drops of The Blood of Evolution. If they spin a Battle Pet, even a level-two one, those five drops of The Blood of Evolution could evolve it to level four, maybe even level five!"

"Look, the sixth spin has started. This time it's the weapons section, another silver weapon!"

"Not bad; we don't even have white weapons."

"The seventh spin, what do you think this time?"

The crowd's chatter abruptly stopped as they witnessed a dramatic change on the battlefield.

The previously chaotic zombie horde suddenly swarmed towards the wheel, and the mutated animal camp several hundred feet away also began moving forward, targeting the Accurately exchange roulette wheel!

This change was deadly for any survivors still on the battlefield, including this newly emerged team!

Ernesto was dumbfounded by the change. He didn't know what was happening, but he knew one thing: If this newly emerged enigmatic team did not depart, they would certainly meet their demise!

The mutated animal camp had previously been deterred by the massive siege crossbow, and the zombie camp's new king was still consolidating its forces, too busy to care. But now, it seemed that their fear and busyness had vanished!

"This is just like that time," Lawrence said, looking at the battlefield not far away.

Everyone was stunned for a moment, then realized. The current situation was just like when The Blood of Evolution appeared.

'But where is The Blood of Evolution?' This was the question on everyone's mind.

"Look, that Red-haired iron corpse!" someone exclaimed.

Someone spotted the beautiful Red-haired iron corpse behind a tall zombie. It was already close to the back of the wheel. Upon closer inspection, the focus of all the mutated beings wasn't the wheel or the team but the human-like Red-haired iron corpse holding the drop of The Blood of Evolution!
