Chapter 295 The Astonishment After the Fox Borrows the Tiger's Might
"Twin-Winged Golden-Eyed Python!" William shouted.
When this shadow showed up after the roulette wheel spun, the battlefield was suddenly drenched in fear.
The zombies and mutated animals had no clue what this creature was, but they could feel the kingly vibe radiating from it.
Sure, the Mutated Mouse King and Zombie King were kings too, but their royalty came from being more evolved than their peers. This creature, though, had a natural royal aura, the kind only true royalty has.
Yangos was a level five monster, super strong, and might even hit level nine someday to become a Dragon King. But at the end of the day, it was just like the Mutated Mouse King and Zombie King—its power came from higher evolution, not an innate royal vibe.
In the dragon world, the Giant Dragon was the real royalty, while Yangos was just a regular dragon. So, Yangos didn’t have that royal aura that’s all about bloodline, not level.
This new creature did, and that was why the Mutated Mouse King and Zombie King felt an instinctive fear and backed off, even bumping into their own troops.
Everyone else in the city who saw this creature with its pure golden eyes and wings floating in the air felt the terror too.
Even the top dogs of the Major Power Alliance in Accraville City scuttered away to find shelter when they saw the Twin-Winged Golden-Eyed Python in the sky. They were terrified of getting killed by this monster, even from a distance.
Their fear mostly came from the blue Magic Crystal on its forehead.
Level five!
Another level five mutated life form had shown up, and it could fly and was just as powerful!
No, it felt even stronger than Yangos!
"This is his final plan!" Lawrence and Ernesto jumped up from their observation point. They looked at the golden shadow in the sky and murmured. They remembered what Stella had said about William having a final plan. They believed it, but they thought it was mostly about escaping, maybe even ditching his companions as bait. They even thought William might team up with these mutated life forms!
But they never expected William’s final plan was to use a level five Battle Pet to fight the Dragon head-on!
'You have a level five Battle Pet, and you still came to the trade fair pretending to be our buddy?'
'You have a level five Battle Pet, and you didn’t just show it off and spin the roulette wheel calmly, but instead, you pretended to be a hero?'
'You have a level five Battle Pet, what else do you want us to say?'
People couldn’t wrap their heads around it. Even though they weren’t facing William directly, they felt utterly powerless.
A level five Battle Pet could crush any force.
In other words, it could crush the elite alliance of Accraville City!
Arthur dropped the piece of meat he was holding.
He knew William because one of his top guys was killed by him. He didn’t have solid proof, but in this world, assumptions worked better than evidence.
Arthur didn't go after revenge, not because he forgot, but because he always had bigger fish to fry. He didn't want a little hiccup to mess up his grand plans.
In his mind, Arthur always thought Cloud Peak Manor and William were just a flick of his finger away from being wiped out.
But after seeing what William was capable of, Arthur realized he had underestimated him. William was a serious threat, and Arthur knew he had to deal with him. When he got back to Accraville City prison, he planned to send troops to take out this hidden danger.
But seeing the Twin-Winged Golden-Eyed Python made Arthur realize something else: William could probably kill him with just a flick of his finger.
"He's mine," Stella said, her eyes sparkling—not with love, but with a kind of respect for a worthy opponent.
But then she frowned and muttered to herself, "Something's off, this doesn't add up..."
The most shocked on the battlefield was Yangos.
It had never sensed another level five creature in Accraville City.
The Dragon always thought it was the top dog in Accraville City. Sure, there were threats, but it was confident in its strength. One-on-one, it was unbeatable.
Who would've thought a Twin-Winged Golden-Eyed Python, a royal, would show up?
In a world different from this one, the python race was as royal as the dragon race. Yangos' bloodline was way less noble. Even if it faced a newborn python with a low evolution level, it would have to bow its head.
How could such a royal become a human's Battle Pet? Had a royal already crossed over to this world?
Yangos' mind was a mess. Instinctively, it backed away from the Twin-Winged Golden-Eyed Python, which was at the same evolution level. It was scared because, at the same level, it couldn't match the python.
Maybe when it reached level nine, it could close the gap brought by bloodline, but not now.
"I told you, you're no match for me, especially you, Dragon. I need your Dragon horn, Dragon skin, Dragon blood, Dragon meat, and... Dragon Crystal! Maybe someday, if I find a good Undead Mage, I'll turn you into a Bone Dragon, giving you a new life. Trust me, I'll do it." William sneered.
William stepped out from the heavy protection of humans and approached Yangos. When he got close to the Mutated Mouse King, he gave it a vicious glare, making it retreat with its subordinates.
The Mutated Mouse King wasn't scared of William but of the Twin-Winged Golden-Eyed Python following him.
Mice were naturally afraid of snakes.
Yangos flapped its wings and started to back off. It could feel the malice from William and his Battle Pet. The four malicious gazes from one man and one snake swept over its body parts, imagining their future uses.
Dragons are a greedy and suspicious bunch, and Yangos was no different. It had a fleeting thought of fighting, but it vanished instantly. It knew too much about barriers and royalty.
So, the Dragon made a choice that left everyone, including William, who was bluffing, stunned.
Yangos ran away.
