Chapter 232 Start Taking Action

Late at night, all the core members and high-level executives of Cloud Peak Manor gathered together.

"Everyone has heard about the situation. Anger won't help. What we need to do now is come up with a solution," Michelle said, sitting next to William. Her gaze swept over the crowd, and the usual smile on her face was replaced by a rare look of frost.

"Let's dispense with the motivational speeches. We need to talk strategy, logistics, and cold, hard facts," Michelle announced.

Everyone looked serious, and no one spoke first. After all, if they handled this poorly, it could lead to a dead end. So, whatever they did now had to be done with caution.

Tom, who was older and more experienced, spoke first, "We can prioritize these crises by urgency and then tackle them one by one."

William nodded, a look of approval flashing in his eyes. Tom was good; his mind was clear.

Looking at the paper in his hand, Tom said in a deep voice, "The first crisis we face should be the group from Accraville City Prison arriving tomorrow morning. If possible, we should use food to buy some temporary peace and send them away."

Everyone shook their heads in disagreement.

The people from Accraville City Prison were clearly the aftermath of the previous incident where they traded scrap cars for food. They thought Cloud Peak Manor was easy to bully and came here to continue looting.

Trade food for peace? They clearly wanted to take all the food!

Since William would definitely not surrender, they would have to fight the people from Accraville City Prison.

"It seems everyone knows we have to fight this one. Alright, after we get through the crisis with Accraville City Prison, we need to deal with the two forces holding hostages. We must rescue them!" Tom said firmly, and everyone agreed.

In the apocalypse, it was essentially the same as in peacetime: to survive, one had to fight for resources. Fighting for these things was one thing, but using hostage-taking tactics would provoke a strong desire for revenge. Compared to the armed group from Accraville City Prison coming to rob food, everyone wanted to wipe out Eastgate and the Lowe Family even more.

"As for the threat from the Tech City warband, we can ignore it for now and deal with it after these crises," Tom remarked.

Putting down the paper filled with information, he took a sip of water before continuing, "Finally, there's the issue of the zombie horde. If those zombies don't change their path, we'll face a huge crisis. This is more troublesome than the previous issues because zombies don't understand retreat. When they come, it's a fight to the death."

Everyone in the room instinctively frowned. No one had truly encountered such a zombie horde before. Even if they had encountered one before, they would complete their mission and run, not fight to the death. But this time was different. If the zombie horde really came here, either they would be destroyed, or they would eliminate the zombies. There was no third option.

Then, everyone looked at William, who was sitting there. They had a plan, but what to do next depended on him.

"Do we have specific information on Armando?" William asked.

Hearing his question, Michelle immediately nodded. "Arthur from Accraville City Prison has five small factions under him. Armando leads one of them. His faction is neither the strongest nor the weakest, ranking in the middle. The number of people coming this time is over two hundred. Armando is a two-star Evolving person, profession unknown. He has over fifty one-star Evolving persons under him, dozens of firearms, and an unknown amount of ammunition."

"To get information on Accraville City Prison, we spent two bottles of Evolution Elixir. Yves has earned ten vials of the elixir from us recently. His people are almost all Evolving persons now," Michelle added.

William nodded, pondered for a moment, and then lightly brushed the table, revealing ten vials of Evolution Elixir.

The core members knew William had space equipment, so they weren't surprised. Others seeing this for the first time were shocked, having never seen such a magical thing.

"Jack, inform the regular soldiers about the attack on Arthur. Explain the dangers clearly. Select those willing to go and then distribute the Evolution Elixir. If it's not enough, come back to me. Remember, select people first, then give the elixir," Milliam ordered.

Jack immediately stood up and left with the elixir. Including the five vials William had given Candice earlier, Jack now had fifteen one-star Evolution Elixirs to distribute, which was quite a fortune.

"Mr. Chambers and your assistant stay. Tom and Camilla stay. The base is in your hands while we're gone," William announced.

Seven one-star Evolvers were hardly an insurmountable defense force. But with so many fronts demanding their attention, it was the best they could manage.

"If someone attacks us here, hold the line if you can. But if the situation becomes untenable, retreat. Do not, under any circumstances, risk your lives. Is that understood?" William reminded them.

David and Camilla were crucial to his future plans; he couldn't afford to have anything happen to them.

After speaking, William's gaze fell on Candice and the others. He said sternly, "Everyone else, gear up and move out. Our battle has begun!"

"If the crisis can't be avoided, then we'll eliminate it!" William declared loudly.

Watching the departing figures, Yves felt helpless.

He had already left but returned immediately upon receiving a radio call from Cloud Peak Manor. They were a big client, generous in their dealings. Anything useful to them could be exchanged for Evolution Elixir. In just over half a month, he had obtained ten Evolution Elixirs and six bottles of immunity potion from here.

These items had greatly enhanced the strength of the Black-clad Convoy.

Although Yves knew Cloud Peak Manor had gotten into big trouble recently, he didn't want to see it go down. He provided as much help as he could, hoping they could hold on.

But that didn't mean he was willing to hand over all his life-saving items for them.

Yet, when Yves rushed back, he was greeted by a crowd of hundreds surrounding him.

Then William, who was smiling politely, took all the ammunition from him, including the bag of explosives he kept for emergencies.

Yves really wanted to kill William, but he knew that if they really fought, he would definitely lose.

So he had no choice but to hand over all the bullets.

His heart ached; that was the wealth he had accumulated over a long time.

But William's parting words made him feel a bit better, and he decided to take a gamble.

"When this is over, I'll give you a two-star Evolution Elixir," William said.

Yves compromised. Watching William's departing figure, he sincerely prayed for the first time, hoping William and Cloud Peak Manor could survive this crisis.
