Chapter 233 Assassination!

In the huge sleeping bag inside the tent, three women lay there, all sound asleep.

To many people, Armando was not a good person. He started working at fourteen and ended up in juvenile detention for robbery that same year. After getting out, he didn't reform but instead became even worse. He frequently got into fights and brawls and made several trips in and out of the police station. At twenty-three, he accidentally killed someone and was sentenced to life imprisonment, ending up in the high-security Accraville City prison.

He stayed there for twelve years. This year, Armando turned thirty-five.

He had been prepared to spend the rest of his life there, but then the apocalypse came.

The world fell into chaos, and naturally, so did the prison. The guards either turned into zombies or were killed. The infamous outlaw Arthur became the new leader. After that, they fought, evolved, and played, and Armando followed along.

Now, he was a well-known figure in Accraville City prison, leading over two hundred subordinates and determining their fates.

The apocalypse, a nightmare for most, was Armando's paradise.

Take these three women, for example. One, a minor celebrity from Accraville City. Another, a stunning white-collar worker. The last, rumored to be a wealthy heiress.

Before the apocalypse, he wouldn't have dared to even fantasize about women like them, let alone have them vying for his attention.

These three women wouldn't have spared him a second glance.

But now, they were all his!

Armando liked the apocalypse. Even if he died after the sun rose, he thought it was worth it.

Stepping out of the tent, he looked at the faint light appearing on the horizon. A new day was about to begin. Although he hadn't slept all night and had been doing physically exhausting things, he didn't feel tired. Thinking about how he could eliminate a new force today, obtain precious food, and earn Arthur's praise, he felt great.

Listening to the snores coming from the various tents, Armando cursed these useless people with a smile, walked to a nearby tent, took out a bucket of water, and poured it over his head. The cool, pure liquid flowed down his body, making him want to shout out in delight.

Such liberal use of pure, drinkable water was one of his perks.

He had heard from Devin that there were two beautiful women at the Cloud Peak Manor base. He hoped Devin wasn't lying; otherwise, he would make sure Devin paid the price.

Feeling pleased with himself and enjoying the sensation of the water washing away his sweat, Armando heard light footsteps.

It should be one of the sentries coming to greet him. These people were fierce in battle but also very good at flattering him in peacetime.

Armando was about to put down the bucket to see who it was.

But in an instant, his hair stood on end, and a sense of killing intent enveloped him!

In the past two months, Armando had killed many people, if not a hundred, then at least eighty. He was very sensitive to people with killing intent.

Almost instinctively, he let go of the bucket, letting it fall to the ground, and shouted as he swung his right hand, which wore a white ring, in the direction of the killing intent.

He knew he was being ambushed. In this life-threatening moment, he didn't care about anything else and used his life-saving item.

A transparent sphere instantly appeared around him, enveloping him.

"Guardian energy shield?" the attacker murmured, and then Armando heard the sound of the energy shield breaking.

And then, the icy yet burning Knife Light charged towards him.

Armando screamed as his body flew backward, his bare chest covered in blood.

But he ignored the pain and rolled to the side, dodging the second Knife Light!

Using all his strength, he stood up and finally saw his attacker.

It was a young man in his early twenties, with a hint of youthfulness in his eyes.

But he was not showing his youthful appearance; instead, he displayed a calmness that shocked Armando, and his eyes burned with killing intent.

"Big! Big! Big!" Armando roared again. Although only a few seconds had passed since the ambush, his shout had already alerted the camp. People were emerging from their tents, and he knew he just needed to hold on a little longer for his men to crush this attacker.

As he shouted "big," his body began to grow taller and stronger. In the blink of an eye, he transformed from about 6 feet tall to a 10-foot-tall giant.

"Low-level Giant bloodline?!" William exclaimed in surprise, clearly not expecting Armando to have such a rare bloodline ability.

"Good to know. You're dead!" Armando roared. Ignoring the terrifying gash on his chest, he threw a fast and powerful punch at William.

At a distance of just 6 feet, Armando's fast and fierce punch was sure to hit William.

The Giant bloodline's advantage was exactly its immense strength!

But just as his fist was about to hit William, his vision blurred, and he lost sight of William. Then he felt a cold wind on his neck. He wanted to dodge, but suddenly felt something wrap around his legs. Glancing down, he saw a half-bodied transparent aqua-human clinging to his legs, immobilizing him.

In a moment of crisis, Armando's potential surged. He raised his arm to block his neck, but then felt a sharp pain as half of his arm was cut off. He let out his third scream of the day.

"Your vigilance is too low, and your experience is too poor. What a waste," William commented without stopping attacking. Armando felt a pain in his back, and then his body went numb. His strength faded like a receding tide, and he knew his spine had been broken.

"Mr. Watson!" someone called out.

The group was finally fully awake and rushed over. It had only been ten seconds since the incident, and it was impressive that they had come out so quickly.

William smirked, grabbed Armando by his hair, and began dragging his huge body backward. He used Armando to block the line of fire. After reaching a certain point, he threw Armando there and then disappeared into the woods, vanishing in a few breaths.

"Mr. Watson, are you okay?" a subordinate shouted anxiously.

The team gathered around, protecting Armando. Few cared about the assassin. It was just dawn, and they couldn't see anything clearly. Chasing someone who had severely injured Armando into the woods was suicidal.

"Mr. Watson, what are you saying?" Devin shouted, leaning down to put his ear to Armando's mouth.

"Run..." Armando murmured.

"What? Run?" Devin asked.

The next second, everyone there was blown into the air.

The explosives buried under Armando exploded.

Meanwhile, William rode a motorcycle, speeding towards Central Island.
