Chapter 9 Tender Meat
At this moment, William's fighting spirit was high. He grabbed a machete and rushed out of the basement, encountering other mutated stink bugs that followed him. These mutated creatures, which posed little threat to him, were no match for his blade. Two minutes later, he ultimately killed the giant stink bugs that had invaded the villa.
As Sienna cautiously emerged from the basement, she saw the stink bug corpses scattered across the clean and expensive carpets of the villa, along with the pungent smell of green viscous body fluids.
Sienna managed not to vomit. Her gaze fell upon William. At this moment, the man appeared somewhat dirty, with green stink bug blood splattered on his clothes, along with bits of flesh and limbs sticking to him.

"Watch closely." William squatted down, picked up a mutated stink bug's corpse, and skillfully peeled open its carapace with the tip of his knife, revealing the tender meat the size of a woman's finger in the middle, tinged with red.
"Stay here and cut off the meat from these mutated stink bugs. Sprinkle some salt on them, and roast them in the oven."
Sienna looked astonished, thinking, ‘What? Does he want me to handle these foul-smelling stink bugs? And roast them with salt? Does that sound like they are meant to be eaten? It is too disgusting.’
In response to Sienna's question, William nodded confidently. "Yes, treat them as food, even delicacies."
After speaking, he gathered all the stink bug corpses in the hall, moved them to the basement, and then brought them into the oven. Regardless of Sienna's agreement, he also pushed her inside.

In addition to the villas, the Oasis Luxury community had nearly thirty-seven buildings that housed around six to seven thousand people. When the apocalypse occurred, although many people were still at work and hadn't returned, there were still about a thousand people in the community. Even if a third of them had mutated, there were still three to four hundred zombies.
These people were newly mutated First-Level zombies, the main source of One-Star Magic Crystals. While others might not yet understand the purpose of these gray crystals, they were a readily available wealth to William.

It was a middle-aged man in pajamas, his blue and white checkered clothes already soaked in blood. A large hole exposed his intestines on the left side, spilling out and swaying with his slow movements, creating an eerie and terrifying sight.
Having seen such scenes many times, William didn't even blink. Stealthily approaching the zombie before it could react, he plunged his machete into the back of its head, instantly killing it.
Skillfully extracting the One-Star Magic Crystal from the center of its forehead, he was about to continue when he suddenly heard a scream not far behind him.
