Chapter 117 The Advantages of Professions and Skills

Natalie watched as the tusks and the gaping mouth of the sow came closer and closer, her expression intensely focused.

At a certain moment, her wrist suddenly flipped, and the Mutated willow twig whip in her hand coiled around the security window of a nearby house like a snake. With a slight exertion, her body changed direction, and the sow's tusks narrowly missed her.

Natalie didn't exert much effort, so she merely managed to dodge the mutated boar's attack. Her body was still in mid-air, close to the sow's head. In her other hand, a strange-looking handgun appeared,  with its dark barrel almost pressed against the sow's head.

Then the gun was fired.

Three bullets shot into the sow's head in quick succession. At this distance, even a second-level mutated creature couldn't dodge.

The massive body fell, causing the ground to shake. Blood and brain matter gushed from the bullet holes, quickly forming a large pool on the ground.

Natalie landed gracefully beside its corpse, her face covered in fine beads of sweat, clearly not as composed as her actions suggested.

Windancer is a profession; no matter the time, every movement is incredibly elegant and graceful, with lethal intent hidden within these eye-catching motions.

The gun was something William had acquired from that father and son duo when he paid to spin the wheel. After he modified it, he gave it to Natalie today. Although the Natalie had no experience with firearms, as long as she fired at close range, she didn't have to worry about missing.

Under such conditions, Natalie completed an almost impossible task, killing two second-level mutated boars on her own.

She said, "Mission done, now heading to the second mission point." After she extracted the Magic Crystal, Natalie headed to the next location.

Jack was riding a motorcycle, his foot on the corpse of a mutated boar.

Not far away, the sound of the motorcycle was getting louder.

For today's plan, everyone had their own tasks, including Jack. He first kept an eye on Landon's movements in the farm from a high vantage point. As soon as he saw Landon leave, he immediately came down from his observation spot, dragging a first-level mutated boar he had killed earlier to wait here.

He was waiting for Landon.

Although Jack didn't need to fight like the others, his task was the most dangerous because he had to face Landon and his army of boars.

Anyone else might be at least a bit anxious, if not terrified, but Jack remained calm, half-lying on the motorcycle, chewing gum he got from the roulette, unaffected by the approaching Landon and his boar army.

Finally, Landon appeared at the corner of the street. The street, uncleaned for over a week, was filled with swirling dust kicked up by the charging boars. The dust covered the broken corpses and the remnants of civilization.

Jack then straightened up. Seeing Landon's gaze fall on him, he kicked the mutated boar's corpse far away and made a gesture of mockery to Landon.

Seeing his Battle Pet killed like that, Landon was furious. He slapped the boar he was riding, and its speed suddenly increased, charging forward with the herd.

This momentum 'scared' Jack into a grin. He twisted the throttle hard, and the motorcycle sped off in the opposite direction.

As he rode, Jack shouted loudly, "Loser, come chase me!"

Landon was so angry that his eyes almost popped out.

Since acquiring these mutated boars, he had still suffered losses For instance, just the other day, he encountered two powerful second-level beasts and four or five boars.

But those losses were worth it; his boars evolved after eating the two corpses, and he himself gained two second-level Magic Crystals.

But now, his boar was killed for nothing, and the Magic Crystal had been dug out. This kind of loss was something Landon had never experienced before.

The second-level mutated boars were very fast, and even with a person on their backs, they didn't fall behind the motorcycle, closely following. Half a minute later, they were some distance from the farm.

At this moment, Landon felt connection with his pet pigs suddenly break, one after another. First, it was about a dozen first-level boars, then two second-level mutated boars!

Landon finally understood he was being targeted; someone was systematically hunting his pets!

The person on the motorcycle ahead was distracting his main force!

Realizing this, Landon immediately ordered the boars to stop and quickly turned around.

He needed to get back to the farm quickly; he could already feel the boars left to guard the place dying rapidly!

William didn't bother hiding his tracks, directly crashing through the farm gate.

The three second-level and four first-level mutated boars left to guard the place rushed out at the noise.

Almost immediately, they met the intruder.

William swung the Edge of the Moon with all his might, a bright Knife light slicing through the air and cutting into the body of the foremost second-level mutated boar!

The profession had its perks; it allowed you to possess strength beyond your evolutionary level.

In his previous life, William knew the mutated boars under Landon had very strong defenses. By then, their bodies were covered with layers of pine resin, combined with some innate skills, making them hard to harm.

But now, these boars were far from reaching that level. Their second-level mutated bodies couldn't withstand the sharpness of a silver-grade weapon, and the boar was directly cut in half.

William sheathed his knife and extended his fingers.

The feed grinder in the farmyard transformed into a steel monster, pouncing in front of William to block another boar's charge.

William's feet tapped rapidly on the steel monster, using the momentum to leap over, descending from the sky to deliver a second strike, targeting the brown-haired boar that had just crashed into the steel monster.

The massive boar head was sliced off with one stroke, warm blood spraying onto the steel monster that had been smashed into scrap metal.

In an instant, William had killed two second-level mutated boars!

The profession and skills allowed him to perfectly kill mutated creatures beyond his level.

But William knew it wasn't the time to celebrate. He used his Arm Shield to block a first-level boar's charge, twisted his body, and quickly approached the last boar.

Perhaps the deaths of the two second-level boars had instilled fear in this one. It was very cautious, constantly moving its body, not giving William any openings.

Seeing no opportunity, he didn't force it. He turned and charged into the group of first-level mutated boars, swiftly dispatching these mutated creatures that could no longer pose any threat to him.

The entire yard was immediately filled with a thick scent of blood.

Turning around, he faced the second-level mutated boar. Neither him nor the boar dared to be careless.
