Chapter 102 Have a Good Investigation on Her
Ethan zipped it immediately when it came to his job. He kept his mouth shut and silently looked away.
"Come on." Mrs. Ashford pointed to the family doctor. "Tell me everything you know about Ivy."
The family doctor said slowly, "I don't know Ivy well. I just know that she is an unusual woman. She can get the immortal mussel as well as the priceless ancient mussel shell..."
Saying it, the family doctor went to his studio to fetch the mussel shell fragment which Ivy had given him for testing and offered it to Mrs. Ashford.
"Please take a look, Mrs. Ashford. The mussel shell she brought here has a history of at least seven or eight hundred years. It is a rare treasure. She has also brought back a lot of mussels before. If you eat it, you can live forever."
"Really? One can live forever after eating it? Are you sure?" Mrs. Ashford was extremely interested in the topic of living forever.
"Yes! But the mussels are gone, and now she has some shells left only. This is one of them." The family doctor offered the mussel shell fragment to Mrs. Ashford.
"This thing is seven or eight hundred years old?" Mrs. Ashford played with the mussel shell fragment with interest. If so, it could be considered a treasure. Maybe it could protect her from evil spirits if she made it into an ornament and wore it.

"Okay, I'll show it to him now," Mrs. Ashford told the servant to get her a piece of red cloth, wrapped the mussel shell fragment up, and put it in her pocket.
She specifically said to the family doctor right before leaving, "Have a good investigation on Ivy. I promise you'll be paid handsomely!"
It sounded like she was talking to the family doctor alone. In fact, she obviously meant that everyone present could ask her for a reward if any of them found out anything about Ivy.
After Annabel left, Ethan said in a serious tone, "You shouldn't have given Ivy's mussel shell fragment to Mrs. Ashford. Ivy just gave it to you for testing. You don't own it!"
The family doctor said with a bitter face, "I had no choice. I've got a big family to support. I can't afford to lose my job! It's just a piece of mussel shell. Ivy won't care about it. Anyway, she still has a few more with her. Or, maybe she has a lot more."
"Anyway, it is her property. You shouldn't have given it away like that." Ethan sneered and shook his head. "So you think you can keep your job as long as you please Mrs. Ashford? Don't forget how much Ivy means to Mr. Ashford!"
Ethan glanced at the tall maid with a red and swollen face, and said with a warning, "If you think you can live under the wing of Mrs. Ashford for the rest of your life, then leave for her. I will submit your resignation letters to Mr. Ashford!"
"Ethan, I promise I'll keep my mouth shut." The tall maid shook with fear when she thought of Alexander's sharp eyes.
The family doctor said helplessly, "Ethan, I got no choice. And I will definitely stay away from Mrs. Ashford in the future."
Even so, Ethan still reported to Alexander that Annabel had taken Ivy's mussel shell fragment away, and that Annabel wanted to investigate Ivy. It was his job, and he couldn't keep it from Alexander.
At the time, Alexander was heading for Maria's hotel. He hung up the phone indifferently after listening to Ethan's report.
Since he was a child, he had always believed that his grandma was the kindest old lady, who loved him the most and needed to be cared the most, but now he suddenly felt that he knew too little about her. In fact, she was not as simple as she appeared.
She had kept it from him for twenty years that Leo was her real grandson, and she had even attacked Ivy violently, which was simply too heartless and cruel! In light of her old age, Alexander went easy on her without getting to the bottom of it. But she still wanted to investigate Ivy. For what?
