Chapter 122 One Last Breath
"Knowing doesn't change anything," Alexander's cold gaze locked on Leo.
"Why didn't you tell me then? I've been searching for her all night!" Leo erupted in anger.
Alexander's eyes narrowed as he realized how deeply Leo cared for Ivy.
"Haven't you two already done with each other? Why are you looking for her?" Alexander stepped forward, his face cold, warning Leo, "Ivy is already my woman. I advise you not to have any ideas about her, or the consequences will be unimaginable."
"What do you mean? You already..."
Leo's eyes widened in shock, but then he thought it couldn't be true. "No, it's not possible. Something like that couldn't have happened between you two. Ivy told me she would never do such a thing before marriage."
"Is that so? Unfortunately, we have already done it," Alexander's lips curled slightly. "When she was with me, she was still a virgin. So it seems that you really haven't touched her."
With that, he patted Leo's shoulder. "My good cousin, I thank you for choosing so carefully and leaving me such a good woman. When we have our wedding banquet, I will make sure to toast you several times."
Leo stood dumbfounded in place, unwilling to believe that this was true.
Seeing Alexander about to leave, Leo desperately grabbed the car door. "Alexander, are you saying all this just to spite me? You haven't touched her, right?"
"I'm sorry, I don't have the time to play games with you. We already have a child..."
Alexander was about to explain that the child was already four years old, but before he could finish, Leo suddenly shouted, "No wonder!"
"No wonder you prepared a crib, small blankets, and even cartoon bowls and a Children's amusement park at home. Ivy is pregnant!"
Pregnant?
Leo actually thought Ivy had just become pregnant?
Alexander had initially wanted to explain, but then he thought it was unnecessary. After all, Ivy had already agreed to his proposal. It wouldn't be long before he made her truly pregnant.
As long as Ivy was pregnant, she would definitely give birth to a son, no, six sons.
Thinking about this, Alexander couldn't help but smile, his lips twitching. "Leo, she is already carrying my child. You should give up."
"She's actually carrying your child... carrying your child..."
Leo held his head in despair, unable to accept this reality.
"You can take your time to accept this. I have something to attend to. Goodbye." Alexander turned the car around, bypassed Leo's sports car, and drove away.
As soon as he left, Leo received a call from Mrs. Ashford.
"Leo, your mother has prepared a sumptuous breakfast. Go to Alexander's house and bring him over to eat together."
"I'm sorry, I can't do anything about it," Leo said, feeling very disheartened.
"What do you mean you can't do anything? Is he still angry? This child has such a big temper!"
Mrs. Ashford didn't hang up the phone and immediately told Hailey, "Hailey, call Alexander right away. Tell him I'm down to my last breath. If he doesn't come, he won't see me for the last time!"
Then she turned to Leo and said, "Leo, come over first. Grandma has something important to tell you."
"Oh!" Leo replied listlessly.
On the way, Alexander wore his Bluetooth earphones, listening to music while driving, feeling very happy.
When Hailey called, he didn't want to answer at first, but he was worried about his grandma, so he answered using Bluetooth earphones.
"What's the matter? Tell me!"
"Alexander, come back quickly," Hailey urgently said, "Grandma is not doing well. She only has one last breath left. If you don't come, you'll never see her again..."
"Is this true?" Alexander slammed on the brakes, stopping the car abruptly. "Tell me, what happened to her!"
Hailey sobbed on the other end, "Ah, I don't even know how to put it. The situation is very serious. Please come quickly..."
