Chapter 70 She's Gone
Alexander picked up the gauze and asked Blake, "What is this? Explain."
Ivy heard Alexander's voice from the bottom of the ship, both surprised and delighted. Alexander had come! Was he here to save her?
But why was Alexander with Leo?
Was Leo helping Alexander to rescue her, or was Alexander helping Leo seek revenge?
Thinking about it, she felt that as the head of the Ashford family group, Alexander didn't seem to have a reason to help a nobody like Leo.
On board.
Blake wasn't sure if Alexander was human or a wizard, but he knew that he wasn't an ordinary person. He didn't dare hide anything: "This is gauze for Luna. Her foot was injured. But she just left, I don't know where she went."
"Luna? You're calling her so intimately. I've never called her that!" Leo pointed at Blake angrily. "Do you know who I am? Do you know what Ivy means to me?"
"I don't know." Blake lowered his head.
"She's my fiancée..."
Leo stopped halfway through his sentence when he was interrupted by Alexander.
"Ivy is your aunt-in-law."
"aunt-in-law? What are you talking about? Ivy is clearly my..."
"She's your aunt-in-law," said Alexander with a slight smile, then turning to Blake. "This child is Leo, my nephew whom my grandmother has spoiled since childhood making him arrogant and overbearing. Please don’t mind him.”
"No...no problem," Blake said nervously while in his eyes, this 'child' seemed older than himself.
"Alexander!" Leo became angry, pointing at Alexender, saying,“I trusted you so much, and this is how you treat me? Don't think just because I call you uncle, then you are above me. You're only a few months older than me, okay?"
Alexander sneered, "Just a few months younger than you and one generation older! Who let your mother be the same age as me?"
"Alexander, don't get cocky. My status isn't as low as you imagine it to be. I'll tell my grandmother...no, tell my great-grandmother when we return," Leo said angrily.
"Tell her what?" Alexander replied coldly.
"That you stole my fiancée!" Leo said furiously.
"What fiancée? You ended things four years ago," Alexander replied coldly.
"We didn’t!" Leo protested. "Ivy has deep feelings for me. We won't end anything. As long as I apologize to her, she will forgive me immediately."
"Hmph, dream on! I will never forgive you!" Ivy muttered underwater.
She really didn't expect that Leo was Alexander's nephew or that Alexander would say she was Leo's aunt-in-law. Did this mean that Alexander had intentions of marrying her?
It seemed unlikely since there wasn’t anything special between them. and they weren’t even from the same social class.
Leo stood closest to Ivy and seemed to hear her voice shouting desperately: "Ivy, it’s me - Leo! Where are you? Ivy, comes out, please? I know I'm wrong. I apologize to you now and promise not to cheat again. Will you forgive me..."
Alexander also sensed that Ivy was nearby, and relying on his intuition, he walked step by step towards the cabin with an expectant face calling out: "Ivy, are you here?"
Blake quickly followed him into the warehouse, saying: “Sir, she left, really gone.”
"Where did she go?" Alexander's expression suddenly turned cold.
