Chapter 329: I Want to Go Too
"Sigh!" Alexander let out a sigh as if he had been heartbroken.
Ivy tried to console him, "Big brother, don't be sad. If there's a suitable person next time, sister-in-law will introduce her to you. Let's first have some breakfast."
Well, I definitely have to eat the delicious food made by my sister-in-law.
Alexander sat at the table and picked up a pancake to take a bite.
Just as he took a bite, he was horrified to find that the black oil paint on his mouth had stained the pancake.
Oh no, if he stays here any longer, he will be exposed.
He quickly turned his face and said, "I forgot, grandma asked me to have breakfast with her, I'm leaving!"
Holding onto the pancake tightly in his hand, he rushed towards the front door without looking back.
Ivy already knew what had happened and suppressed a smile as she said, "He must have had a failed blind date and feels heartbroken. I'll go comfort him."
After Ivy left, Samantha let out a deep sigh and said, "Ah, what a good kid he is. His appearance has been tarnished like this. How did he become so black? This is the first time I've ever seen someone this black..."
Blake and Maria smiled at each other and then affectionately leaned against each other to eat.
Blake's eight brothers had already figured out what was going on and were struggling to hold back their laughter.
The six little girls looked at each other in confusion. They didn't understand why Uncle Alexander, who was very fair yesterday, was so dark today. Did he climb a chimney or something?
At the parking lot in front of the small hotel, Ethan promptly opened the car door as soon as Alexander appeared.
Alexander got in carefully, afraid that the black oil paint on him would dirty the car.
"Alexander!" Ivy chased after him with a smile on her face.
"Thank you so much for your help today. Without your outstanding performance, my aunt wouldn't have accepted Blake so quickly."
Alexander raised his blackened hand and asked, "I did so much for you, how are you going to thank me?"
"I... will treat you to a meal?" Ivy tentatively suggested.
"I'm not interested!" Alexander turned his face away disdainfully.
"Then... watch a movie with you?"
"That sounds good!" Alexander's face lit up with joy. He urged Ethan, "Drive faster, take me to remove my makeup, and then I'll take a shower when I get home!"
Ethan drove straight to the makeup store.
After removing his makeup, Alexander hurried back home and took a fragrant petal bath.
When he walked into the living room in his bright outfit, Annabel asked, "Second grandson, why are you dressed up so formally? Where are you going?"
Alexander was momentarily stunned. The term "second grandson" was so novel, but his older brother was already back, so he had to give up the position of eldest grandson.
"Grandma, Ivy and I are going to watch a movie," Alexander excitedly said, "Strictly speaking, this is our first date."
Annabel was confused, "The children are already four years old, how can it be the first date?"
"Erm..." Alexander was momentarily speechless.
"Alex, where do you want to go?"
"Tickets to the movie and a bouquet of roses," Ethan hurriedly entered and handed over two movie tickets and a large bouquet of roses.
"Alex..."
Just a few days ago he was Mr. Ashford, but today he has become Alex. There's no choice, Owen has already returned. He must adapt to his new identity.
Alexander took the movie tickets and was about to take the roses when Owen suddenly appeared and snatched them away.
"Wow, such beautiful flowers! Little brother, is this the surprise you got for me?"
"Um...yes, it's the surprise for you."
Alexander couldn't bear to take the roses away anymore when he saw how much his brother liked them, so he decided to give them to him instead.
He could just buy another bouquet later.
"They look so nice, and they smell so good. I'm going to put them in a vase!" Owen hugged the roses and headed towards his room.
"Let's go, we'll buy another bouquet of flowers." Alexander said to Ethan.
Ethan rushed ahead and opened the door to the luxury car.
Just as the car door opened and Alexander was about to step in, he heard Owen's voice from behind.
"Little brother, where are you going? I want to go too!"
