Chapter 741 So You Guys Should Eat First?
"I... I'll go ask the kitchen if there's any food left..." The preschool teacher hurriedly ran off.
The teaching assistant and homeroom teacher were both trembling with fear. Initially, they had eagerly volunteered to take care of this class because the children were adorable and identical.
But now, seeing that one child had such a huge appetite, who would dare to stay and serve them?
"I'll go check the kitchen for more food..." The homeroom teacher made up an excuse and immediately left the classroom.
"I'll go check too!" The teaching assistant quickly followed suit and escaped.
The 17 children and their 18 bodyguards were left with no food and no one to look after them.
Matthew was full after eating and didn't want to move. He sat on a small chair and said, "You all should go check the kitchen so that you won't be late and miss out on food!"
"Let's go eat at a restaurant!" Blake suggested.
"Let's check the kitchen first!"
Amelia waved her hand, and her five sisters and 11 brothers all followed her to the kitchen.
Naturally, the bodyguards followed along as well.
Since Matthew was full and didn't want to run around, Blake stayed with him while the eight brothers and the other bodyguards accompanied the 17 children to the kitchen!
As soon as the children arrived in the kitchen, they saw their homeroom teacher, preschool teacher, and teaching assistant each with a bowl of food, eating together with the kitchen staff.
"How can they call themselves teachers?"
Amelia immediately felt angry, "The students haven't even eaten yet, and the teachers are eating first?"
Xanthe was also infuriated, "When we came, they were all eager to take care of us, but when it's time to eat, they leave us and eat by themselves. Is this how teachers should behave?"
The homeroom teacher awkwardly put down her bowl, "Your appetites are too big. The food here is not enough for all of you. You should go eat at a restaurant!"
Celestia furrowed her little eyebrows, "Are you saying that the kindergarten doesn't have enough food for us? But we came to school early, so when they were buying food in the morning, they didn't consider us?"
The homeroom teacher gestured apologetically, "It's not that we didn't consider you. We already added extra food for the 18 of you, but one of you finished it, and now it's not enough!"
"So you guys just decided to eat first?" Amelia asked sternly.
The homeroom teacher's face turned red, and she immediately brought out a stack of small bowls, "Since you're already here, just eat here. If you're not full, you can eat again later!"
Amelia rolled her eyes, "So, you're saying that the promise to make 35 more portions of food for us doesn't count anymore?!"
The preschool teacher pointed to the kitchen staff, "They are the ones who cook. It's up to them whether they are willing to make more food. I can't make the decision."
"So, what you said earlier was a lie to deceive us?" Amelia narrowed her dangerous eyes.
The preschool teacher couldn't say much and threw all the blame onto the kitchen staff.
"How about this? Can you make more food for them? After all, they are all the boss's children!"
The head chef immediately became unhappy, "They are all big eaters, one person alone..."
"Who can afford to serve food for an entire class? How much salary do I even make? Money is limited every day, I can't afford to lose money, right? You do it yourself!" The preschool teacher was scared and quickly stepped back, saying, "I'm a preschool teacher, I only take care of serving meals, washing dishes, and cleaning. Cooking has nothing to do with me!"
Hearing these words, the 17 children and 17 bodyguards were all angered. It's our own kindergarten, but our own children can't eat enough?
Amelia, acting like an adult, took a long deep breath and said, "If you find the salary to be insufficient, you can bring it up. The Ashford family has no shortage of money, as seen from them buying a kindergarten. Will it really reduce your salaries?"
The head chef of the kindergarten said, "It's not about the salary, it's just that the workload is too heavy. With only one person, we can't handle cooking for a whole classroom even after working for several hours."
"So what? You leave us aside and fill your own stomachs first?" Amelia's face was full of anger as she pointed at the group of people. "If your children can eat so much, would you do the same?"
