Chapter 07 Offending the Big Boss
"Please go ahead," Emma extended her hand towards the pool.
Wearing a mermaid costume with a fishtail enfolding her feet, Ivy slowly made her way to the poolside. Elegant and graceful, she extended her arms and gracefully leaped into the water.
With her fishtail on, Ivy swam beautifully and charmingly, just like a real mermaid frolicking in the ocean.
Seeing this scene from afar, Alexander couldn't help but stand up in awe. Assistant Ethan promptly handed him a telescope to facilitate a better view of the mermaid performance.
Drawing from her memory of mermaid animations, Ivy imitated the poses of animated mermaids, freely swimming amidst the lifelike aquatic plants. She continuously changed her movements, even performing some difficult ones that made Emma marvel, "She resembles a mermaid even more than Emily."
Engrossed in watching through the telescope, Alexander's excitement was interrupted by the arrival of a man in a suit, sunglasses, and a thick gold chain hanging around his neck. Accompanied by ten bodyguards, the man exuded a powerful presence.
"Mr. Ashford, you're here?" The man greeted with a toothy grin. Opening his mouth revealed a mouthful of gold, as he had adorned it with gold teeth.
Frowning, Alexander coldly asked Ethan, "Who is this?"
"He is Jack Johnson, the owner of Blossom Fitness Club," Ethan replied.
"Yes, that's me." Jack laughed heartily, revealing his golden teeth and introducing himself, "I'm Jack. Rich and influential. Anyone who sees me must call me Mr. Johnson."
"Is that so?" Alexander didn't address him as Mr. Johnson and sat on the sofa with a cold expression.
"Mr. Ashford, since you rarely visit, how about having a girl massage your feet?" Jack sat down and followed up with his big gold teeth grin.
"I've tried, but she's unwilling," Alexander glanced at Ivy in the water and said uninterestedly.
"Who was it? How dare she offend you..." Jack glanced at the water only once and couldn't take his eyes off. He swallowed a mouthful of saliva and asked Emma beside him, "Is she the new mermaid?"
"Yes, Mr. Johnson," Emma nodded.
"She looks good, but she's a bit disobedient. Let me train her properly," Jack said as he stood up.
"How do you plan to train her?" Alexander's gaze turned extremely cold.
"I have my ways, of course. Let me test her swimming skills first," Jack said, then shamelessly took off his clothes before anyone could react and jumped into the water.
Alexander's face turned incredibly ugly, but everyone's attention was fixed on Jack, completely oblivious to Alexander's discomfort. They all wanted to see how would Jack train this new mermaid?
Jack approached Ivy with his bare upper body, which scared Ivy. She immediately swam towards the shore.
"Mermaid, don't run away, play with me for a while," Jack suddenly grabbed Ivy's tail and pulled her into his arms, completely embracing her.
Ivy struggled desperately but couldn't escape from Jack's embrace. Filled with anger, she couldn't help but speak out, "Who do you think you are? Let go of me now, otherwise, don't blame me for hitting you!"
"You're quite feisty. Tell me, how will you hit me?" Jack not only didn't let go of Ivy but also pressed his plump lips down, almost kissing Ivy's face.
Alexander stood up abruptly, wanting to stop everything, but then heard a loud sound of a slap. Ivy had fiercely slapped Jack.
Jack angrily threw Ivy into the water and said, "You bastard, dare to hit me? Don't you want to live? Or don't you want to work anymore?"
Ivy sank into the water and didn't resurface for a while.
The water surface was filled with lifelike water plants, making it impossible to see what was happening underwater.
Everyone on the shore was frightened, including Jack, who was worried that Ivy might drown.
Alexander quickly walked to the edge of the pool, loosening his tie, intending to jump in and save her. However, unexpectedly, Jack in the water suddenly shouted, his voice resembling a pig being slaughtered.
It turned out that Ivy had dived to the bottom of the water, right next to Jack's feet. She grasped his two little toes and forcefully twisted them outward.
Jack was in extreme pain and had to emit a sound like a pig being slaughtered.
Upon seeing this scene, a faint smile appeared on Alexander's lips, seemingly interested. It appeared that this woman had some self-protection ability and couldn't be taken advantage of.
After taking revenge on Jack, Ivy immediately swam toward the shore.
"You just wait, I won't let you off!" Jack chased after Ivy angrily and quickly caught up with her.
Emma worriedly said, "Ivy, what did you do to him? He is our boss, the big boss!"
