Chapter 643: Twelve Great-Grandchildren
Useless?
Alexander immediately made a video call to Annabel.
"Grandma, there's a man named Cloude Lewis claiming to be your father Lord's grandson. He wants to sell your ancestral home, and all the potential buyers are here. Take a look!"
The camera on the video scanned the people present one by one.
Upon seeing this situation, Annabel quickly understood what was going on. It turned out to be a dispute over the inheritance of Lord's concubine's descendants.
In a stern tone, she said, "Lord is my real father, and that house was left to me by him. The deed is with me. Whoever dares to touch my property will be sent to prison!"
Upon hearing this, the experts present dared not utter a word.
They had never expected that the ancient ancestral house in the mountains would still have a property deed!
If there really was a property deed, only the owner of the deed would have the right to buy and sell the property.
Cloude immediately approached Alexander and said to the camera, "You're Lord's daughter? Impossible! Lord's two daughters, one fell off a cliff and died, and the other was sentenced to death and locked up in a dungeon!"
"Nonsense!" Annabel said confidently, "I, Annabel, have been practicing martial arts since I was young. I am proficient in all eighteen martial arts. Even if I fell off a cliff, I couldn't possibly have died!"
"Cloude, let me tell you, even if you are surnamed Lewis, you have no right to claim the Lewis family's property. When Lord took on a concubine, new marriage laws were already in place in ancient Europe, enforcing monogamy. Your grandmother is at best a mistress. Her relationship with Lord is not protected by the law. Lord already provides your grandmother with a living allowance, and now she wants to claim the property of the legal wife? No way! If you're not convinced, go ahead and sue me! If you win, I'll give you the property!"
Cloude was speechless in an instant.
After venting her anger, Annabel then said to Alexander, "Alexander, didn't Grandma give you the house? Whether to sell it or not, it's up to you to decide! Oh, by the way, Grandma just saw Ivy. Did you make up with her?"
Ivy immediately appeared in front of the camera and said, "Grandma, I've given you twelve great-grandchildren. When will you and Grandpa finish your trip and come back to see them?"
"Alright, alright, we'll be back soon!" Annabel was ecstatic and said to Richard beside her, "Ivy said she's given us twelve great-grandchildren..."
"Is that true? Twelve? Did she give birth to all twelve at once?" Richard was overjoyed at the thought, but then he paused and said, "Wait a minute, we haven't been gone for long. Isn't it a ten-month gestation period for a child to be born? When we left, she had just gotten pregnant..."
Ivy said, "Grandpa, it's hard to explain in a few words. You'll know when you come back."
"Alright, alright, we'll come back as soon as possible!"
Both sides bid each other farewell warmly and ended the video call.
Suddenly, Cloude thought of something and grabbed Alexander, "Wait, if your grandmother is really Lord's daughter, then why did she leave the house and disappear all these years?”
"Wow, it's actually Annabel! So, that means your grandfather is Beckett. As far as I know, Beckett passed away 20 years ago!"
Alexander pushed Cloude aside and exclaimed, "What do you know? My grandmother couldn't have had a second marriage, right?"
"Se...second marriage..." Cloude was once again left speechless.
Alexander coldly faced the experts and said, "Aren't you leaving yet? Trespassing on private property is against the law!"
Reluctantly, the experts retreated to the gate but still refused to leave.
One of the experts looked eagerly at the ancient tree in the courtyard and suggested, "Mr. Ashford, why don't you name a price? As long as you're willing to sell, we can negotiate a good deal."
Another one chimed in, "Yes, you're so wealthy with countless assets in the city and accustomed to living in grand villas. Why would you want this old mansion in the mountains? It would be better to sell it to us and let us conduct some scientific research..."
"No, I won't sell it!" Alexander Foster firmly rejected.
Cloude didn't expect the experts to approach Alexander to negotiate the price again.
Angry, he picked up his phone and made a call.
"Hey, bro, let me tell you, Grandpa's old mansion is worth a fortune. That old tree in the courtyard alone, so many people want to buy it. Every single leaf is worth 500,000. But now, this old mansion is occupied by someone from another family.
Isn't Oliver's son a lawyer? Tell him to hurry over. And isn't Grandpa's eighth daughter a journalist? Ask her to come too. Also, gather all of my grandfather's 21 sons and their descendants..."
