Chapter 16 Bodyguard, Cleaning Up the Mess
"Ah?" Emma regretted it deeply. Why did she have to ask that question? Ivy's working hours doubled, but her salary was halved because of her.
If Ivy knew it was because of her, she would definitely be furious.
Before, Ivy didn't want to come to work, and Emma persuaded her for a long time to come back, but now...
How could Alexander be like this? Yesterday he said that as long as Ivy was willing to come to work, everything would be fine.
What exactly did Ivy do to offend Alexander?
Emma nervously approached Ivy and said, "Ivy, come here, Mr. Ashford wants you ashore."
"Oh?" Ivy happily swam to the shore, asking, "How could he be so kind? Did the sun rise from the west?"
Embarrassed, Emma muttered, "He wants you ashore to clean the hall, and your working hours will be doubled with half the pay..."
"What?" Ivy angrily crawled ashore, struggling to move her mermaid tail. She walked too fast and fell to the ground, a sight that was both funny and pitiful.
"Do you need help, mermaid?" a male customer friendly approached, towel-clad.
"Stay away from me!" Ivy snapped unkindly, removing her mermaid costume in front of everyone.
She was only wearing a swimsuit, exposing her beautiful figure to everyone, causing several male customers to drool.
Some even directly asked Emma, "How much for one night with this girl?"
Before Emma could respond, Alexander walked over with a stern face.
"Bodyguards, clear out the trash!"
As Alexander gave the order, the customer who asked about Ivy's price for the night was quickly lifted up by several bodyguards and thrown out of Blossom Fitness Club's door.
No one expected the owner here to be so fierce, directly dismissing a customer for the sake of an employee.
Upon learning that this person was the powerful Alexander, nobody dared to act out anymore, silently taking baths, doing foot treatments, and head massages. Even those who used to be audacious enough to touch the thighs of the staff members no longer dared to do that.
They came here to spend money and enjoy, but now it's more unbearable than being in prison.
Previously, when the time for a service was up, the staff would be asked to continue for a while longer. But now, halfway through the time, everyone found excuses to leave Blossom Fitness Club.
Emma watched all of this and sighed inwardly. It probably wouldn't be long before Blossom Fitness Club had to close. On his first day in charge, Alexander had offended the customers. At this rate, closing was inevitable.
Alexander, however, didn't care. He leisurely sat on the couch, feeling incredibly peaceful.
After all, he didn't lack money and didn't care about the number of businesses. He considered this club as his own personal spot for fitness.
Ivy changed into her own clothing and approached Alexander with an imposing manner.
"What do you mean? Why did you make me mop the floor? And then reduce my salary? What did I do wrong?"
"What do you think?" Alexander glared at Ivy with an intimidating chill.
Ivy didn't know where she went wrong. She just felt that Alexander was truly terrifying.
In his hands, if you make a mistake, you won't have a good outcome.
"I quit!" Ivy said as she threw her hand and left the hall.
Before she could even leave the hall, she heard Alexander's chilling voice, "How dare you!"
Ivy stopped in her tracks, afraid that after she resigned, Alexander would find Maria's small hotel, and the secrets of the children would be exposed.
To be fair, mopping the floor wasn't so bad. After all, she used to be a professional dish server and cleaner. She could earn $150 a night without having to touch water. Although the hours doubled, it was still better compared to an 8-hour job.
"Fine, I'll mop!" Ivy gritted her teeth, picked up the mop, and started working.
