Chapter 105 The Generous Tenants
"Samantha is indeed a talent!" Ivy was very impressed.
Samantha was kind and enthusiastic and able to find the good points in everything, which Ivy was determined to learn.
Having covered her forehead with her hand for too long, Ivy's hand was a little sore and she took off the tissue from the wound. However, the tissue had already stuck to the wound. The blood had just congealed. When she moved it, the wound was torn apart, and the blood flowed down again.
"Oh, it's bleeding again!" Maria panicked. "Sit down, I'll bandage you!"
Seeing this, the man and woman came over sympathetically. The woman asked, "How did you get hurt like this?"
"Well, I'm fine." Ivy pressed the wound with the gauze. "Maria, I will deal with it myself. You can help me look after the children."
Ivy went to the Clark Villa and planned to heal the wound on her forehead with Magic Pearl.
The woman looked around and asked curiously, "Where are the men in your family? Have they all gone out to work?"
"Well, we're unlucky. My husband and my eldest daughter's husband both passed away unexpectedly." Samantha felt sad when she mentioned this. She sighed and waved her hand, "Stop talking about it."
"Where is the husband of your youngest daughter? Did he also pass away?" The woman asked again.
"No, my brother-in-law is alive and is the owner of a company." Maria frowned and answered.
"I see. Is he busy as the boss of a company? He must have little time to come here." The woman seemed to be more curious, "Does your sister usually take care of six children alone? Or do you and your mother help her?"
Maria suddenly felt that this woman was too inquiring. She said very vigilantly, "This is private. You can stay in our house if you want to. If you don't want to stay here, you can ask others to take you in."
She would rather not make money than bring any danger to Ivy and the children.
"I'm just asking casually." The woman smiled shyly, and then she said to the man, "Let's rent a big suite with two bedrooms, one living room, and one bathroom. It will be more spacious. You can pay one month's rent in advance."
"Okay, it's all up to you." The man then asked Samantha, "How much should I pay?"
"Well." Samantha hadn't decided yet. People used to stay here for less than a day, and she would let people pay at their will. Now the man and the woman would stay here for a month. She wasn't sure how much she ought to charge.
Maria usually charged 40 dollars per night for such a suite, and if one rented it for a month, the discounted price was 1,140 dollars.
However, before she could speak, the woman and the man had started to discuss the price. "The landlady said just now that we can pay as little as ten dollars or as much as hundreds or even thousands of dollars and asked us to pay at our will. Although we are not rich, we are not poor either. Let's pay at a modest price."
The man nodded. "Okay, I'll pay 70 dollars per day and 2,100 dollars per month."
Maria's eyes widened in surprise. Gosh, she would charge at most 1,140 dollars if she was asked to set the price. Two thousand one hundred dollars was almost twice it.
"It seems a little less." The woman stared at the six little girls for a while and then said, "This family is leading a hard life. Three women have to raise six children. What's more, the mother of the children was injured. Let's pay a little more. We will eat here after all."
"Then I'll pay you 3,000 dollars." The man took out his phone and asked Maria, "I'll pay you 3,000 dollars for one month's stay and meals."
"Ok," Maria happily agreed.
"Don't go back on your word." The man readily paid.
Why should she go back on her word? Maria was overjoyed secretly. She was the beneficiary. She hoped her customers would not regret it. After all, they paid more than twice the original price.
