Chapter 29 Six Little Babies
Although Maria's old mansion was old-fashioned, it had a pretty spacious area with four bedrooms and a living room, along with a large courtyard.
The courtyard was filled with various flowers, and there wasn't a single weed in the flower pots, thanks to Ivy's thorough cleaning.
Alexander walked around the courtyard, not here for anything else but to learn more about Ivy and find out if she had been keeping snakes here.
After walking around and not finding anything unusual, he was about to leave when he accidentally caught sight of something unique on the clothesline in the yard.
Six cute overalls were lined up, followed by six small white T-shirts, all with cute cartoon patterns.
Further back, there was a round clothes rack, densely filled with colorful socks.
Alexander couldn't help but walk forward and started counting the socks.
"One, two, three..."
Twelve socks, six sets!
Next to the sock rack, there was a square clothes rack filled with masks.
Alexander couldn't resist counting again.
"One, two, three... six!"
He was extremely surprised.
Why were there always six items on the clothesline? Did Ivy have a special love for the number six? Or did she have a secret related to the number six?
Could it be that she really had six pet pythons? Did she raise them like children? He had seen people dress up kittens and puppies, but never pythons.
Alexander stared at the overalls for a long time, involuntarily imagining a strange scene in his mind.

And those socks, did snakes need to wear socks?

Monkeys?
That was the only thing Alexander could think of.
Because monkeys were about the same size as children.
Looking at the size of those clothes on the clothesline, they matched the height of a monkey perfectly.
Yes, it must be monkeys!
Ivy was really daring, secretly raising monkeys, and she had six of them!
What on earth is this woman planning? Starting her own business? Opening a circus?
Alexander really wanted to go inside the room, but the door to the old house was locked, so he couldn't enter. He could only look inside through the window.

There were six cups on the dining table, six small chairs around it, six toy cars on the toy cabinet, six dolls, and a six-tier shoe rack, each tier filled with palm-sized shoes.
In short, everything in the house came in sets of six. It was obvious, there were six little monkeys.
Ivy was actually treating these six little monkeys like children? Not only making them wear human clothes and shoes but also letting them sit at the dining table.
This wasn't just starting a circus, it was something else entirely! No wonder she didn't want to leave the hotel. It turned out that her dream was here. And her dream was to open a circus!
Alexander finally discovered Ivy's secret and felt delighted as he walked back.
In the kitchen, Ivy was halfway through stir-frying when she suddenly remembered that the gate to the mansion's courtyard was not closed. Worried that Alexander might go there, she rushed out of the kitchen.
She clearly remembered that the clothes and socks she washed for the children were hanging in the courtyard. If Alexander saw them, her secret of secretly giving birth to sextuplets would be revealed.
Alexander should never have gone to the old house!
As Ivy ran towards the old house, she prayed in her heart.
Right at the front gate, she saw the scene she least wanted to see.
