Chapter 78 Mommy is still alive

There is a family children's playground in the backyard of the Ashford family villa. Alexander built it specifically for his six little girls, and there are various children's play facilities inside. The six little ones are playing happily inside.

"Children, come here, Daddy has good news to tell you."

"Daddy!"

The six little girls rushed over from all directions.

Each one stretched out their chubby little hands. When they ran, the golden bells on each person's wrist made crisp sounds, which were particularly pleasant to hear.

"Daddy, what good news do you have for us?"

"Did you buy us new toys?"

"Or did you buy something delicious?"

"Haha, I bet you can't guess." Alexander hugged the six little ones and said with great joy: "Daddy will take you to meet someone who you really want to see."

"Who is it?"

"The person we most want to see is Mommy."

"But Mommy has gone to heaven."

"Is there a direct bus from heaven to Daddy's house?"

Alexander was amused by the words of the children. "Come on with Daddy quickly and you'll know who it is when we get there."

In the living room, following Alexander's instructions, the six little girls obediently sat on the sofa waiting to see their most wanted person.

Ivy finished taking a shower and changed into clothes prepared by Maria. She rubbed her hair slowly before coming leisurely into the living room.

When she saw that all six little ones were sitting neatly on the sofa tears welled up in her eyes with excitement.

"Elder daughter, second daughter, third daughter...sixth daughter!"

"Mummy!"

"It’s Mummy!"

"It really is Mummy!"

"So heaven does have a direct bus service to Daddy’s house!”

"Mummy I miss you so much..."

"I miss you too Mummy..."

The six little ones rushed towards Ivy regardless of everything and hugged her tightly.

"Mummy, can you not go back to heaven?"

"Stay here with us, okay?"

"We will always listen to you from today."

"Mummy, please stay. There is endless food here, beautiful clothes that we cannot wear out and many many toys..."

"Mummy, Daddy treats us so well. If you stay he will treat you well too. He is a very very good daddy..."

Is he? Ivy glanced at Alexander not far away. She didn't expect this guy to be so capable. In just two days he had stolen the hearts of all six children.

What's even more annoying was that he actually told the children that their mommy went to heaven.

She went to heaven so there would be no one competing for custody rights with him right? How ridiculous!

Ivy squatted down and told the truth to the children.

"You six listen carefully, Mommy did not die. Mommy did not come from heaven but from by the river where she was swept into a vortex and then rescued by kind people."

"Really?"

"So Mommy didn't really die!"

"That’s great! Mummy is still alive!"

"So does this mean that Mummy can stay here?"

"Mummy, will you stay?"

Ivy smiled and nodded: "Mommy will always be with you."

She didn’t say she must stay but she would definitely accompany her children. As long as there was an opportunity, she would take them away from here - far away - never letting Alexander find them again.

"Oh! Mummy promised to stay!" The children jumped up happily.

Wearing slippers Ivy saw Alexander waving at her feet: "Come over!"

"Me?" Ivy wasn't sure if Alexander was calling her or someone else, what could it possibly have been?

Alexander frowned directly stood up walked over beside Ivy before pushing her down onto the sofa.

"What are you doing!" Ivy nervously shouted. The children were all watching, what did Alexander want to do?
