Chapter 409: Let's go on our honeymoon
Thomas chuckled and explained, "I simplified it. The two letters L are the initials of our names, representing you and me. And this heart in the middle is the little heart that you drew!"
"Oh!" Ivy suddenly understood.
"Ivy..." Thomas asked softly, "Does this little heart symbolize love?"
Ivy shook her head like a tambourine, "No, it represents our hearts being connected."
"But isn't 'hearts being connected' the meaning of love?" Thomas chuckled and held Ivy's hand. "Ivy, a little heart means love."
"Really?" Ivy was a bit confused. "I always thought that a little heart represents hearts being connected, and hearts being connected means working together."
Thomas smirked, "Only two people who love each other can work together."
"Oh, I see." Ivy nodded.
Do you truly understand?
Thomas tightly held Ivy's hand. "Ivy, can you be heart connected with me for a lifetime?"
"Yes, of course!" Ivy answered without hesitation.
"In that case, when you grow up, can you marry me?" Thomas looked at Ivy with hopeful eyes.
Ivy blinked her bewildered eyes, "I don't know, I'll go ask Grandpa Richard..."
Thomas: "..."
Later, Ivy did go and ask Richard, and the answer she received was, "Distance yourself from Thomas in the future and focus on your studies!"
As Ivy recalled this, she finally understood that Thomas back then had already thought about marrying her, but she didn't understand anything at the time.
"Ivy... Ivy?" Annabel waved her hand in front of Ivy.
"Grandma..."
Ivy finally came back to her senses and somewhat embarrassedly said, "This symbol... it's not a brand, it's... it's a mark made by the children in the orphanage."
"A mark?" Alexander picked up the earring and examined it for a while, his sharp eyes staring at Ivy. "These two L's, could it be for you and Thomas?"
Oh no, Alexander actually saw through it at a glance!
But she would never admit it!
"It's not!" Ivy pointed at the symbol, blushing, and argued, "The first L represents Grandpa Richard, and the second L represents the owner of the item. This symbol doesn't have any other meaning. It's just a mark made by the children in the orphanage. If you don't believe me, you can ask Grandpa Richard."

"What about this heart then? How do you explain it?" Alexander aggressively asked, his face showing intense jealousy.
While Ivy thought, she explained, "This heart... represents longing. The owner of the item longs to become Grandpa Richard's favorite child. If you don't believe me, you can ask Grandpa Richard."
Richard said, "Ah? Oh, that's the idea..."
Alexander didn't believe it at all and was about to say something, but Thomas interrupted, "Okay, let's not talk about it anymore. Let's go on our honeymoon!"
Ivy looked at Thomas and smiled, "Yes, let's go!"
The earrings fell into Owen's hand, and he grabbed Ivy with one hand. "Let's go on a honeymoon!" Owen suddenly felt uneasy, "Alexander, why are you in such a hurry? I...I haven't eaten yet...I'm hungry..." Owen didn't listen to Ivy's complaints at all. He tightly held onto her, as if afraid someone would take her away. His other hand dragged the luggage as they confidently and indifferently walked towards the luxury car.
