Chapter 300: Twin Brothers
Alexander had a feeling, and the man with long hair had it too, a deep sense of warmth that made him instinctively approach Alexander.
"Brother!" Alexander excitedly embraced the man with long hair.
The man with long hair was a little confused, "Are you sure... that I am your brother?"
"I am sure because we look exactly alike," Alexander took out his phone and opened the selfie function.
"Look, do we look exactly alike?"
In the phone, two identical faces appeared, except one looked mature, while the other looked innocent.
"Is this me? Am I also this good-looking?" The man with long hair excitedly took Alexander's phone and took selfies from different angles, unable to believe that he was also this handsome and, moreover, looked exactly like the man who called himself his brother.
Watching the man with long hair's excited look, Alexander felt both excitement and sadness. He wondered when his brother fell off the cliff and how many years he had spent here enduring hardships.
"Brother, how did you end up at the bottom of the cliff?"
The man with long hair shook his head blankly, "I don't know. I don't know what my name is, I don't know why I live here, and I don't even know if I really am your brother..."
Ivy quickly said, "Alexander, Big Brother must be like Grandma, losing his memory after falling off the cliff. Use the power of the Magic Pearl to help him heal."
"You must be my brother, and I will help you regain your memory."
Alexander initially wanted to place his hand on the man with long hair's head to help him regain his memory.
However, when he thought about how this man was his brother, he couldn't just casually touch his older brother's head, so he placed his hand on the man's chest instead.
Closing his eyes, Alexander used the power of the Magic Pearl to help the man with long hair recover his lost memories.
Just for placing his hand on the man's chest, Alexander suddenly discovered a new ability of the Magic Pearl.
No matter what memories the man with long hair recollected, Alexander could see the same scenes in his own mind.
It turned out that the man with long hair was indeed Owen, Alexander's twin brother.
When they were one year old, their mother brought both of them to their grandmother's house.
While the adults were busy preparing lunch, the twin brothers played in the yard by themselves.
There was a small table in the yard filled with snacks and fruits, as well as two palm-sized toy cars.
While Alexander was carefully peeling an orange, Owen played with the toy cars on the ground.
Not far away, Fiona suddenly appeared with a colorful small ball and threw it against the wall near Owen. Soon enough, the ball bounced back.
Owen had never seen such a pretty small ball before, and he was immediately captivated. He wanted to catch the ball and play with his younger brother.
But he had just learned to walk and was not very agile. Every time he squatted down to pick up the ball, it would roll away again.
He stumbled and chased after it, all the way to the deserted entrance of the village.
Grabbing Owen tightly, covering his mouth, Fiona ran for her life.
They ran for who knows how long until Owen fell asleep, and Fiona, feeling thirsty, put Owen down by the riverbank and went to scoop some water to drink.
Just as Fiona was drinking, a few human traffickers suddenly appeared. One of the men, as if picking up firewood, forcefully clasped Owen under his arm.
Owen, in his drowsy state, suddenly felt a sharp pain in his chest and abdomen. His little body was being squeezed by a large arm like a pair of pliers, and he cried in pain.
He tried hard to break free from the arm, but he was too small and weak, with no strength to exert.
Soon, Fiona caught up, shouting, "Give me back my child!"
The human traffickers didn't listen, they took off Owen's coat and shoes and threw them to Fiona, then they released a few dogs to intercept Fiona.
Fiona was terrified of the aggressive dogs and quickly fled.
The traffickers blocked Owen's mouth, tied him up, stuffed him into a burlap sack like merchandise, surrounded him with sponges, and then placed the sack containing Owen into a pile of sacks.
