Chapter 13 Put it on and let me see the effect
Compensation?
Upon hearing these two words, Ivy immediately remembered the incident from last night when Alexander tore her clothes.
"Forget it. My clothes are not valuable. This is too expensive!" Ivy said, directly returning the gift box to Alexander.
Interesting! Alexander's lips curved slightly as he grabbed Ivy's arm. "Things I give away are never taken back, and no one dares to refuse them!"
"But it's too expensive..." Ivy didn't finish her sentence as Alexander had already dragged her into a private room.
The door slammed shut.
Panic overwhelmed Ivy. "Wha-What are you going to do?"
Alexander threw the gift box at Ivy. "Put it on and let me see the effect."
Ivy didn't want to wear it, but she also didn't dare not to. She opened the box and tremblingly took out the dress.
"You! You need to leave so I can change," Ivy blushed deeply.
"Do I need to leave?" Alexander's lips curled slightly. "Ivy from four years ago wasn't this shy."
"What are you talking about? I don't understand anything about four years ago," Ivy nervously tried to escape.
"You still won't admit it?" Alexander reached out with his slender fingers and lifted Ivy's charming chin.
In an ambiguous tone, he said, "Back then, you were more open-minded than I imagined. Not only did you take off your clothes in front of me, but you also performed a striptease.."
"What striptease? I can't dance at all," Ivy said, blushing.
She desperately tried to recall what had happened that night four years ago, after she had gotten drunk, but she couldn't remember.
"You can't dance? But I saw you dancing with my own eyes," Alexander's handsome face approached Ivy.
"That night, I drank too much..." Ivy said, then suddenly covered her mouth. Damn, why did she admit to what happened that night?
"What did you say?" Alexander looked at Ivy with interest.
"I-I said I had been drinking tonight and might have said some things I shouldn't have. Please don't take it seriously," Ivy said, afraid, trying to escape the situation.
"But you don't drink, right?" Alexander cornered Ivy against the wall. Combined with his breathtaking handsomeness, Ivy felt intensely suffocated.
"Ivy, what kind of woman are you?" Alexander trapped Ivy in his embrace, his deep eyes staring directly at her.
"I-I'm just an ordinary woman, nothing special. Mr. Ashford, please don't try to figure me out," Ivy stammered.
"Is that so? I want to understand ordinary women because the women around me are all extraordinary, and I'm tired of that," Alexander, with his domineering CEO aura, approached Ivy once again.
"I-I'm actually not ordinary either," Ivy quickly said.
"Oh? In what way are you not ordinary?" Alexander raised an elegant eyebrow.
"I-I'm materialistic..."
"That's very normal!"
"I-I'm greedy for money, lustful, money-oriented, and only interested in profit..." Ivy used all the harsh words to describe herself.
"Greedy for money?" Alexander raised an eyebrow. "As for lust, I've already witnessed that. But as for being greedy for money..."
Alexander involuntarily turned his eyes to the gift box.
"I really am greedy for money. I actually really want this outfit, I'm just too embarrassed to admit it," Ivy said, then directly rushed under Alexander's armpit, exaggeratedly grabbing the gift box, and pretending to be greedy.
"If you're so greedy for money, why did you give me money four years ago?" Alexander looked at Ivy with interest. "Three dollars, quite generous."
"Three dollars? That's not possible, I distinctly remember giving you five dollars," Ivy frowned.
"Where did those five dollars come from? I only saw three, and they were thrown on the ground!" Alexander said with a stern face.
"It was definitely five dollars, I remember it clearly, and I placed it near the pillow..." When Ivy said this, she suddenly realized something, immediately covered her mouth, and looked at Alexander with a terrified expression. Damn, she had fallen for it.
