Chapter 187 Pushed Down Crocodile Haven
"Mr. Ashford, be careful," Ethan quickly pulled out a tissue and wiped the coffee stain off Alexander's shirt.
"So, you're saying there's a possibility that the paternity test results are fake?" Alexander glared at Ethan in anger.
Ethan trembled, his hands shaking. "I... I'm not sure, but a woman like Emily, not only spreading rumors about Ivy all over the hospital but also pushing Ivy's children into the water one by one, she's capable of doing anything. What else wouldn't she do?
"Mr. Ashford, it would be best if you get the test done at a different hospital, or maybe our family doctor could do it? He can analyze the components of shellfish, so perhaps he could..." Ethan suggested hesitantly.
Alexander's fingers gripped his leg tightly, not letting go even when it drew blood.
If the paternity test was indeed tampered with by Emily, it meant that Ivy's six children were his own.
But what had he done to Ivy? He not only insulted her but also doubted her involvement with other men. He nearly strangled her, and worst of all, he took back the 700 thousand dollars card he had given her!
Now he finally understood why Ivy slapped him. If he were subjected to such misunderstandings and insults, a mere slap wouldn't be enough to resolve it.
"Mr. Ashford, please... Don't treat yourself like this..."
Ethan saw the agony on Alexander's face as he bloodied his own leg, feeling as if he were the one hurt.
"Go to the accounting department and collect your salary!" Alexander said coldly, then got up and left the office.
"Mr. Ashford!" Ethan called out in a daze, standing still in his place.
As Ethan carefully thought about it, he realized that he was indeed partly responsible for the situation. While the issue with the paternity test wasn't his fault, he acted improperly by not investigating and informing Alexander about the rumors regarding Ivy from the doctors.
He deserved to be fired by Alexander!
Alexander went downstairs and immediately drove to the Children's amusement park.
The road was particularly busy, and while waiting at a traffic light, Alexander unexpectedly noticed that all the building screens were broadcasting the confrontation between Ivy and Hannah.
The drivers were in their eagerness to watch the live broadcast and forgot about driving, resulting in a serious traffic jam.
On the large screens, Hannah had already placed the children on the railing of Crocodile Haven. It seemed like she could throw them off at any moment.
"Mommy, save me!" Alice cried out in tears.
"Mommy, save me! I don't want to be eaten by a crocodile." Susan struggled desperately.
Ivy pleaded desperately. "Hannah, I've already promised you. Why can't you spare the children? Will you spare them if I give you what you want right now?"
Ivy was about to open her mouth to spit out the Magic Pearl.
"Stop!" Hannah interrupted Ivy. "Even if you give it to me now, I can't guarantee its safety. I'll keep it with you for now. If the opportunity arises, I'll come to you for it. But right now, I have to throw your children down, or else I won't be able to leave this place."
Hannah's intention was that once she threw the two children down, everyone's attention would be focused on saving them, making her escape much easier.
Not far away, a police officer shouted through a megaphone, "Hannah, don't do anything reckless. Even if you throw the children down, you won't escape the police's surveillance. It's better to confess voluntarily, hand over the children, and seek lenient treatment!"
"Lenient treatment, my ass!"
Hannah didn't believe any of those words. With a heart of stone, she pushed Alice and Susan off Crocodile Haven's railing.
Alice and Susan screamed as they fell.
At the Children's amusement park, everyone who witnessed it let out a horrified scream.
