Chapter 915 I Want to See the Gambling King
"Madam, how did you get in?" an employee in uniform asked.
"I walked in," Ivy replied.
Of course, she wouldn't tell him about the invisibility cloak she was wearing.
With the cloak, she could appear and disappear at will.
"To be able to bypass our security system, you must be extraordinary!" the uniformed personnel said, extending his hand. "Show me your identification card, we need to register and inspect you."
Ivy shrugged. "I don't have an ID, but I have countless pieces of gold. Can we bet? If you win, I'll stay, if not, I'll leave."
She was truly audacious!
The uniformed personnel reported to the big boss, then made an inviting gesture. "Madam, how would you like to bet?"
"To be honest, I don't know how to gamble. How about we play a game of chance? If you win, the ten boxes of gold will be yours. If I win, you help me find someone," Ivy said.
"Who do you want to find?" the employee asked.
"The Gambling King, Marcus!" Ivy said.
The employee's expression tightened. Then, helplessly, he said, "We don't have the person you want to see here!"
"Are you sure? Then I must have come to the wrong place!" Ivy grabbed the ten boxes of gold, feigning a gesture to leave.
If it weren't for Satan saying that Marcus had changed his appearance to the point where even Satan wouldn't recognize him, Ivy wouldn't personally come to a place like this to find her father.
"Wait, although we don't have someone named Marcus here, if you win, we can arrange a meeting with the Gambling King for you," the employee quickly persuaded.
"Deal!" Ivy sat down at the table.
She casually picked up a dice and placed it in the cup, shaking it. "Is this how we play?"
The employee said, "Playing like this is boring. If we're going to play, let's make it thrilling."
He randomly grabbed a handful of dice and placed them in the cup, shaking it vigorously.
Ivy thought he was going to shake all the dice until they formed a towering column, and her eyes widened with surprise.
Unexpectedly, when he uncovered the cup, the dice were spread all over the table, with each showing only one dot.
Although they didn't form a towering column, it was already quite difficult to make every single dice show one dot.
I wonder how he did it?
Using her keen eyesight, Ivy took a closer look and discovered that there was a small magnet inside each dice.
Apparently, these dice were specially designed for cheating.
Pretending to be clueless, Ivy said, "Every single dice shows one dot."
"What does it mean?"
The staff member in uniform said, "You wanted to try your luck, right? I have 12 dice here, all showing one dot. When you shake the same number of dice, if your total is lower than mine, then you win."
Ivy smirked, "Alright!"
The staff member grabbed another set of 12 dice, placed them in the dice cup, and made an inviting gesture.
Ivy, with her keen eyes, examined the 12 dice this time. They didn't have any magnets inside, completely different from before.
But that couldn't stump her; after all, she was a goddess with magical powers.
She held the cup and shook it gently.
In a calm tone, she said, "Done!"
Everyone gathered around, eager to see how Ivy would react after losing ten boxes of gold.
"Open it!" the staff member said.
When Ivy uncovered the dice cup, everyone screamed madly.
Because the 12 dice had landed in a straight line, with the top one showing one dot.
Ivy said, "Yours is twelve points, and mine is one point. I won."
