Chapter 15 Let Her Mop the Floor
Alexander was so furious that Ivy trembled in fear. Stuttering, she said, "It's been four years, why do we have to keep holding grudges? Besides, I am the one who suffered the most as a woman in this matter!"
"You're the one who suffered?" Alexander harshly grabbed Ivy's wrist, "Have you been harmed? Aren't you living carefree? After it was done, five dollars settled everything, right?"
Four years have passed, and she never considered anyone else's feelings? The thought filled Alexander with anger.
After sleeping with him, she even had the audacity to tell him not to hold grudges. No woman had ever treated him like this!
"You're the first!" Alexander stared fiercely into Ivy's eyes.
"The first what?" Ivy was utterly confused. After a while, she chuckled and said, "Really? I'm your first woman? It was your first time?"
How could I believe you! Ivy thought to herself. She was the one who was a virgin!
Alexander was completely provoked, firmly gripping Ivy's wrist, he said, "You're the first person who dared to anger me!"
"When did I anger you? You're just angry by yourself, why blame me?" Ivy, despite being afraid, couldn't help but defend herself.
In an instant, Alexander's gaze turned icy cold as he pointed to the door and uttered two words coldly, "Get out!"
Well then, she wanted nothing more than to leave this dreadful person.
Ivy opened the door and quickly disappeared from the private room.
"Emma, I'm going to work," Ivy said eagerly when she saw Emma.
With a loud bang, a box containing clothes was thrown at Ivy's feet.
Alexander's expression was cold.
Alexander stared at Ivy and said, "I hope you do your job well and don't make any mistakes!"
Ivy didn't want to pick up the gift box, but she was afraid that Alexander would be unhappy, so she reluctantly picked it up and immediately disappeared from sight.
In the changing room, Emma asked anxiously, "How did you offend him again?"
"I have no idea. He just wants to be angry, and I can't do anything about it," Ivy said nonchalantly as she changed into the mermaid costume.
Emma opened the gift box and looked at the dress inside, surprised, she said, "It's so expensive? Did he give it to you?"
"He said it's compensation for me, but I'm not used to wearing something so expensive. If you like it, I can give it to you," Ivy said carelessly. After putting on the mermaid outfit, she jumped into the pool.
"Look, a mermaid." A man who had just finished his sauna pointed at Ivy and said to his companions.
Four or five men wrapped in towels rushed towards the edge of the pool.
"The mermaid has a great figure, it is amazing."
"Who knows if we have a chance to touch her."
"How is it possible not to have a chance? As long as you're willing to spend money here, there's nothing you can't do."
Alexander's eyebrows furrowed as he heard these people's comments. He stood up angrily and walked towards Emma.
On the shore, Emma held the dress up against herself, gesturing with it, half-believing and talking to herself, "Such an expensive dress, can she really give it to me?"
Just then, Alexander walked over coldly, as if he had come out of an ice cellar, exuding a cold aura all over his body.
Emma was frightened and hurriedly put the dress into the gift box. She respectfully called out, "Mr. Ashford!"
With a cold face, Alexander pointed at the water stains by the pool and said, "It's all wet here, make her come up and clean it!"
"What did you say? Make her clean the floor?" Emma thought she had misheard and saw a mop nearby. She quickly said, "Let me do it."
"Make her do it! Clean the entire hall!" Alexander's anger flared up.
Emma dared not touch the mop again and said with a pained expression, "But the aquarium can't be without a mermaid. Besides her, we don't have any other mermaids."
"Bring back the previous mermaid and double their salary!" Alexander said without hesitation.
"What about Ivy's salary... will it change?" Emma asked cautiously.
"She..." Alexander glanced at Ivy in the water and coldly replied, "Double the time, halve the salary!"
