Chapter 137 The Confession of Emily
Alexander was both embarrassed and annoyed by Emily's words as if something had happened between them.
"Come with me!" Alexander pulled Emily outside to talk.
Mrs. Ashford and the others saw Emily pounding Alexander's chest and acting cute toward him, and they smiled and said, "Mr. Watson, it looks like our families will be united soon."
"Oh, sure. After we finish eating, let's pick an auspicious day and set a date for the wedding."
Dylan said, taking the opportunity to dispel the idea of marrying the Parker's and the Daras' daughters into the Ashford family.
Kristy didn't care, as she didn't have any hope to begin with.
The three daughters of the Watson family saw that Alexander was no longer an option, so they turned their attention to Leo.
But Dominic said, "Mrs. Ashford, Kristy and Leo are a perfect match. Why not have a double celebration and bring good luck to both our families? Our grandson and grandson-in-law can have their weddings on the same day, creating a grand and joyous occasion."
"That's a good idea!" Mrs. Ashford said with a grin, delighted.
Leo placed his hand on Ivy's chair handle and said directly, "Sorry, Mr. Daras, I already have someone I like."
Hearing this, Dominic and Mrs. Ashford were disappointed, but their attention immediately returned to appraising the treasure when they remembered that there was still one treasure that hadn't been appraised.
For Ivy, it was a huge irony at this moment!
Alexander had just messaged her saying, [I miss you.]
But the next moment, he was flirting with another woman.
Mrs. Ashford was even better, directly arranging Alexander's marriage with Emily.
If nothing had happened between Alexander and Emily, why would Emily treat Alexander like that? Why would Alexander take Emily away from everyone?
In the morning, Alexander had promised to go to the inn for dinner, but he had broken his promise.
At noon, Alexander had said he would go to the inn for dinner, but he had broken his promise again.
The reason for breaking his promise was that he was at the company, accompanying an important business partner.
But now, he was clearly with a woman, and the parents of both families were still discussing the date of the wedding!
She was surprised to discover that Alexander was such a skilled manipulator!
At this point, Ivy picked up her phone and sent a message to Alexander.
[What are you doing? Answer me first.]
She wanted to see how Alexander would reply.
At this moment, Alexander had taken Emily to the garden, and due to his anger, his grip on her was a little too tight.
"Alexander, let go of me. You're hurting me!"
"Now you're not calling me Ale?" Alexander fiercely let go of Emily and stared at her with icy eyes. "Emily, who gave you the right to hit my chest? Who lets you act coquettish with me? Are we close?"
Emily shrugged embarrassedly, swaying back and forth as she said, "Ale, there's a reason for everything. You know that all five of us came here at the invitation of your grandma, ostensibly to invite archaeological experts to appraise treasures, but in reality, it's a blind date."
At this point, Emily blushed and looked up. "Ale, actually, I fell in love with you at first sight at your birthday banquet four years ago, but at that time, Grandpa said I was too young to date, so I kept this love hidden in my heart until this year..."
"Come on. Have you said enough?" Alexander interrupted with a cold face. "Emily, who you like, and who you have a crush on have nothing to do with me. I don't like you, and I can't marry into the Watson family. You'd better give up on this idea now."
With that, he strode away without hesitation.
"Alexander, if you don't like me, then who do you like? That woman who has given birth to a child?"
Alexander stopped in his tracks, turned around coldly, and said, "What are you talking about?"
