Chapter 73 Throw Everything into the River

Leo slumped down onto the deck and burst into tears. "Oh my god... little uncle, you can't just leave like this! The whole Ashford family is now left for me to handle alone? I don't even know how to run the company yet. Why did you have to leave so suddenly? How am I supposed to manage all of this by myself..."

"Oh my god... Luna, why did you have to go so suddenly? I didn't even get a chance to apologize or give you the wedding you deserved. After four years of searching, I finally found you, but now you're gone without even saying goodbye. How am I supposed to go on living all by myself?"

"Oh, my Luna... Oh, my Alexander... You both died too ..."

As Leo cried his heart out, he suddenly found Ivy and Alexander appear before him together, leaving him stunned.

"Leo, what are you doing?" Alexander's face was as cold as ice.

"I..." Leo stood up incredulously and rubbed his eyes repeatedly.

"You guys aren't dead?" He pinched Alexander's face while asking this question before moving on to pinch Ivy's face.

"Don't touch her!" Alexander shouted coldly with a warning tone in his voice. "Respect your aunt-in-law!"

"Aunt-in-law? Why is she an aunt-in-law? Ivy belongs to me..."

"Shut up!" Ivy stopped Leo with hatred all over her face before exaggeratingly smiling and snuggling into Alexander's arms with a sweet voice: "Honey, let's go home."

The word 'honey' made Alexander ecstatic as he picked up Ivy horizontally and said: "Okay! Let's go home!"

Leo felt highly disappointed. "Ivy... My Ivy has just slipped away from me like that..."

Blake saw Leo's expression of disappointment and looked at him disdainfully. This guy couldn't even swim properly - how could he be worthy of Witch?

Thinking about the four bags of clam shells left behind by Ivy, Blake quickly caught up with her and shouted: "Luna, wait! Bring your clam shells with you..."

Upon hearing the voice, Ivy immediately jumped to the ground and asked Alexander, "Mr. Ashford, is your car big? Can you help me carry something?"

Mr. Ashford? Didn't she just call him 'husband' earlier? Could it be the 'husband' wasn't sincere, but rather something used to tick off Leo?"

"What do you want to bring?" Alexander's eyes were cold.

"This... She wants to bring this." Blake ran over to the clam shells and pointed at the four bags.

The sack was dirty and wet since it had just rained heavily earlier. Come on, Alexander is such a clean freak, there's no way he would allow something that filthy to be put inside his fancy ride.

"What's inside?" Alexander furrowed his eyebrows sharply.

"Clamshells that can be sold for money," Blake took a piece of broken shell from one bag and handed it over to Alexander.

Alexander glanced at the shell before staring fiercely at Ivy. "I am in charge of The Ashford Family Group. How could I not afford you? Why would you need to pick up these scraps for money?"

"These are not scraps. They're treasured!" Ivy took the broken shell fragment from Blake's hand and presented it to Alexander. "Look at its luster, thickness, texture..."

"Throw it all out! Straight into the river!" Alexander ordered in a cold voice, pointing at the four sacks. The bodyguards quickly followed his command.

"Hey, hands off! Nobody touches my clam shells, okay?" Ivy stepped in to stop the bodyguards and said to Alexander in an angry tone, "Alexander, don't you guys own a jewelry company under The Ashford Family? I thought you had a good eye for quality, but apparently not."
