Chapter 760 No Lies Allowed

"Help me..." Kayla cried out as the fire burned her, but no one felt any sympathy for her.

Sobbing, Kayla approached Ivy and pleaded, "Ivy, save me! Remember our close friendship!"

Close friends? Ivy rolled her eyes and pulled Alexander into the bedroom. She took off the space ring from her hand and put it on Alexander's.

In a low voice, she said, "Alexander, my back is a bit sore. Stay in the spirit world for a while and spend time with the children."

Then, she disappeared into the ring's space with a flash.

In the space ring, Scarlett was diligently practicing in the spirit world.

The 18 children were poking red lanterns along the spirit veins.

Lord was in a cheerful mood, accompanying the children. Everyone was surprised when they saw Ivy come in.

"Ivy, why are you here?" Lord asked.

"Mama!" The 18 children happily rushed over.

As Ivy hugged the children, she answered Lord, "There are too many people in the villa, it's too noisy. I wanted some peace and quiet."

"In that case, Mama, let's play together!" one of the children enthusiastically suggested.

"Sure!" Ivy happily agreed.

Soon, Ivy joined the children in poking the red lanterns along the spirit veins.

Back in the villa, Alexander stepped out of the bedroom and gently closed the door. He then addressed everyone, saying, "My wife isn't feeling well and needs to rest for a while. After all, she's pregnant. A pregnant woman can't handle all this commotion. I hope you understand."

Only after Alexander spoke did everyone remember that Ivy was carrying 18 children in her belly.

Unable to find anyone to ask for help, Kayla turned her gaze to Leo.

"Save me, I'm in so much pain. Consider it as a favor for our past love."

"Can you help me?" Leo hadn't said a word when the blue-spotted snake immediately wrapped around him. "He's my husband, why should I help you? Who do you think you are?"

Kayla helplessly sought help from Beckett, "Uncle, please help me. The fire is burning me, and it hurts so much!"

With cold eyes, Beckett replied, "I am not your uncle, you have mistaken me for someone else."

Kayla had no other choice but to kneel in front of Isadora. "Isadora, I promise I won't speak out of turn again. Please spare me!"

Isadora smirked in satisfaction and instantly extinguished the raging ghostly fire.

Worried about being disfigured, Kayla hurriedly ran to the bathroom to look in the mirror. To her relief, she was unharmed.

But she would never dare to approach Isadora again. She just couldn't afford to!

"Isadora, have you had enough of this?" Beckett's tone was extremely icy.

In a commanding tone, Isadora said to Victoria, "Is this all you've got? You can't even control a man?"

Victoria felt completely humiliated by the comment and decided to take a risk.

She threw herself into Beckett's arms and coquettishly said, "Beckett, don't be so cruel to the two of us, mother and daughter. The events from over 20 years ago can't all be blamed on me. I only had good intentions when I helped you back to your room, but who would have thought that you would take advantage of me under the influence of alcohol? At that time, I only wanted to marry your son Evander. I never intended to be with you. I am innocent…"

"How dare you spout nonsense!" Beckett heartlessly pushed Victoria away, pointing angrily at her. "Do you dare swear to the heavens that this child is mine?"

"Of course I do!" Victoria immediately raised her palm and said convincingly, "I swear, my daughter Emily, no, Isadora, is Beckett's biological child. If I speak a half-truth…"

Victoria paused for a moment before continuing, "If I speak a half-truth, may I be struck by lightning and become incapacitated!"

As soon as her words fell, a deafening thunderous sound resounded through the room.

A bolt of lightning accurately struck Victoria.

It came from the spatial ring on Alexander's hand.
