Chapter 212 Meet on the Way

"Seriously? They don't go to the Lewis Villa!" Alexander found it a little funny, pointing in the direction the truck turned, and said, "That's a lumber mill. They're here to haul lumber."

"All right!" Ethan drove on.

Unexpectedly, the road ahead was getting narrower, which was frighteningly narrow.

While on the side of the road, there was a bottomless cliff. And if one took a look at it, he might be too scared to drive any further.

Ethan really wanted to turn the car back and go the other way.

But it was not even easy to turn around here unless the car backed up.

The road was narrow, and there was a cliff next to it. Ethan was even afraid to drive forward, so how could he dare to back up? He had no choice but to drive forward slowly.

...

Not far behind, Ben drove past the only lumber mill in the mountains.

Molly had been watching the scenery from the window on the left and saw several trucks loaded with lumber, and she shouted excitedly, "Mommy, there are a lot of trucks here, full of lumber."

Ivy smiled and said to the children, "This is a lumber mill. The workers in the lumber mill process the trees into lumber, and the truck drivers transport the lumber to other factories to produce paper and pencils for the studious children to write and draw."

Alice quickly raised her chubby little hand and said, "Mommy, I am a studious child, so can I draw with a pencil?"

"Sure!" Ivy touched Alice's head and said, "When you go back, I will buy pencils and paper for you to draw and play with."

Mollien who was sitting by the window on the right suddenly couldn't see the road on the side, and screamed in fear, "Oh! There is no road. How does our car run?"

Anthony laughed and said, "It's not that there is no road, it's that the road is too narrow, and it's not easy to see the road from the side windows. So you can go to the front to have a look."

The six little girls scrambled forward and found that the road by the cliff was getting narrower, and they were all a bit scared.

Susan asked naively, "Mommy, the road ahead is so narrow, will our car get narrower? If it doesn't get narrower, how can it run on the narrower road?"

Anthony was amused again. "You do have a lot of imagination. How can the car get narrower? The road won't get narrower, either. All we see is a visual error."

Although the child's words were unrealistic, Ivy and Maria were flustered. And they were inexplicably worried that this road would really narrow.

When they were worrying, the car came to a sudden stop with a sharp grinding noise.

The car stopped so suddenly that all the people in the car were frightened.

"What's wrong? What happened?" Ivy asked nervously.

"A car ahead blocked the way." As Ben said, he opened the door and got out of the car.

After getting out of the car, Ben realized that excluding the space taken up by the car, the road was only one and a half feet wide. A foot and a half away was the cliff, and the faint-hearted could be scared half to death just by looking at it.

Ben walked cautiously to the side of the car in front and slammed on the door. "Why don't you go? Is this a parking place? If you don't move forward, how can the cars behind you go?"

The man sitting in the back of the car was none other than Alexander

And now both men in the car, Alexander and Ethan, were confused

There was no way the car could get across the road because the road ahead was piled with rocks at least 30 feet ahead of it.

Why were there so many rocks on such a road?

Who was playing a trick here?

Hearing Ben's cry, Alexander opened the car door.

"There are rocks in front, and there is no way to go. If you want to pass here, you have to remove the rocks."

When saying this, Alexander was staring at Ben because Ben looked familiar to Alexander like Alexander had seen Ben somewhere before.

Thinking back to what happened last night, Alexander suddenly realized that the man in front of him was the uncle of the six children.

That was what Ivy told the six kids to call him!

As Ben saw Alexander, he recognized Alexander at a glance. "Aren't you the children's..."

Ben didn't say the word "father" because Ivy didn't admit that Alexander was the father of the children.

But it was not the time to argue about whether Alexander was the father of the children. They had to work out how the car could move forward.

Ben stepped hurriedly in front of Alexander's car. And he was stunned to find that the road at least 30 feet in front of him was covered with rocks.
