Chapter 214 Evacuate Quickly
"Bring the documents! Mr. Ashford, your important files are all inside!" Ethan said as he reached his hand into the car.
"Leave the files, come here! Immediately!" Alexander commanded loudly.
How could Ethan give up after getting hold of the files? Clutching the papers, he reluctantly closed the car door.
Was this luxurious car going to be left here like this? What a pity.
Looking at the quiet stones not far ahead, Ethan thought two landslides had already occurred and it was unlikely to happen again.
"You back up the other car, and I'll back up this one. I'll follow you while you're reversing," Ethan said as he opened the car door and got back into Alexander's car.
As soon as he sat down, the mountain in front suddenly slid and several large boulders fell without warning.
"Ethan, get out, Ethan," Alexander shouted hoarsely.
Ethan was in a panic. He saw the boulder falling and immediately tried to open the door.
But before the door could even open, the boulder had already fallen on the car.
With a "bang," the boulder hit the rear of the car and then rolled down the cliff.
The car shook hard and almost fell off the cliff with the boulder.
Ethan escaped unscathed but was completely scared out of his wits.
"Come over here quickly!" Alexander urgently called out.
Ethan regained his senses, forgot about the files, and rushed into Anthony's car at the fastest speed possible.
Alexander held the steering wheel tightly and carefully backed up the car.
"Daddy, be careful..." Molly tearfully reminded him.
The scene just now really scared them all.
"Don't talk, don't distract Daddy while he's driving." Ivy said softly and immediately covered Molly's mouth.
Hearing this, Alexander felt deeply touched.
Not only did the children care about him, but Ivy cared about him.
Moreover, what Ivy said was "Don't distract Daddy while he's driving."
This indicated that Ivy acknowledged him as the children's father!
The car had just traveled 330 feet backwards when another mountain landslide appeared ahead, and the terrifying force was getting closer and closer to them.
"Dad, here comes the stone..." Hana couldn't help shouting.
She was sitting on Maria's lap, and when Maria heard this, she immediately covered the little girl's mouth.
Alexander accelerated the reverse speed as much as possible.
However, no matter how fast he backed up, he couldn't match the speed of the landslide.
Countless stones rushed towards the front of the car, and Ethan closed his eyes in fear.
"Bang!" A not-too-big rock hit the windshield.
"Ah!" everyone screamed.
Fortunately, the car had been moving, and the stone was not too big.
After hitting the windshield, it rolled off the cliff alone.
The glass was not smashed, only a few cracks were added, and everyone was safe and sound.
"It's dangerous..." Anthony said with lingering fear.
No one else dared to speak, nervously watching out of the car window.
Alexander backed up the car meticulously.
Everyone's lives were entrusted to him, and he must lead them to safety.
Five minutes later, the car smoothly backed into the lumberyard.
The lumberyard at this time was very deserted, with several trucks already gone.
A few scattered workers were quickly packing their things.
A leader-like figure was holding a loudspeaker and shouting loudly,
"The storm is coming, and the landslide is coming. Everyone, pack up your tools and evacuate quickly, move quickly! Hurry up!"
