Chapter 28 Going to her house for dinner
She's driving him away again? Alexander's face suddenly turned cold. His black pearl-like eyes fixed at Ivy without saying a word.
Being stared at like this made Ivy feel a bit creepy.
Emma was frightened by Alexander's expression and quickly came to Ivy's side, pinching her arm and gritting her teeth, "You offended him too much. Apologize to Mr. Ashford quickly."
Ivy felt she hadn't done anything wrong, so why should she apologize?
"I'm leaving first!" Ivy stubbornly turned around.
"Like this? Without the groceries?" Emma struggled to lift the shopping cart.
"I don't want them!" Ivy said without looking back.
Since Alexander picked the groceries and paid for them, so many groceries had nothing to do with her.
Emma had no other way to deal with Ivy and reluctantly said, "Mr. Ashford, it seems like it's time for us to go back, but what about the groceries..."
"Follow me! We'll go to her house for dinner!" Alexander pointed at Ivy's back.
As soon as Ivy returned to hotel, she packed her bag and prepared to go to Maria's mother's house.
Just as she was leaving, Ivy ran into Alexander, who was staring at her in amazement. "Why are you still here? Aren't you supposed to go comfort the injured employee?"
"Ivy!" Alexander grabbed Ivy's wrist and said, "Can't you see? I've been comforting the injured employees!"
Ivy looked at her own hand and suddenly realized that the injured employee Alexander was referring to was herself.
Earlier, when he mentioned having a meal with the injured employee at their home, it was actually referring to having the meal here with her!
Oh my, the father of her child was going to have a meal with her?
This seemingly harmonious plot was actually terrifying! What if he found out about the secret of her secretly giving birth to their child? Would she suffer greatly?
"What's wrong? Don't you welcome me having a meal at your place?" Alexander's eyes darkened as he pointed at the shopping cart and said, "Take a good look, I bought these items myself!"
"That's not what I meant." Ivy withdrew her hand and awkwardly explained, "I just... I was just caught off guard. After all, my hand wasn't really injured, just overworked. I feel embarrassed for you to comfort me like this..."
"Does your hand still hurt?" Alexander's black eyes stared directly at her.
It seemed that he meant, if Ivy's hand wasn't hurting, he would end the comforting immediately.
"It doesn't hurt anymore. It's completely fine now, see?" Ivy said, extending both of her hands and shaking them in different directions to demonstrate their flexibility.
"If it doesn't hurt, then go cook!" Alexander coldly pushed Ivy aside, showing no intention of cherishing her.
Ivy pouted angrily.
"Ivy, I'll cook with you." Emma immediately requested.
Without waiting for Ivy's consent, she carried the shopping cart into the kitchen, picking and washing the vegetables while boasting about her cooking skills.
"Ivy, my culinary skills are excellent. After all, I learned to cook from adults since I was little, whether it's meat dishes or vegetarian dishes, after being skillfully cooked by me, they immediately become delicious and fragrant. Everyone who has tasted my cooking praises me endlessly. Men who have tasted my dishes want to marry me immediately..." Emma said these words, not sincerely for Ivy to hear, but to let Alexander know how good her cooking skills were.
Unfortunately, Alexander didn't even listen to Emma. Since Ivy entered the kitchen, he folded his hands behind his back and quietly went to Maria's old mansion where Ivy lived.
