"One year?"
"No, too long!"
"Six months?"
"Still too long!"
"Three months?" Alexander frowned, "It seems like too short a time."
"Three months is too short?" Grandma Ashford pouted and said angrily, "If you really want to take action, you can find a woman tonight and get her pregnant overnight!"
"...It's not that fast. Even if I'm in a hurry, I can't just grab anyone. Don't we want to ensure good genes?" Alexander said, blinking at his assistant.
Ethan nodded repeatedly, "Yes, genes are important."
"Alright, three months, it's a deal!" Grandma Ashford pointed her finger at Alexander. "If you don't have good news for me within three months, I will tie you to an operating table, extract your sperm, find a designated woman, and use in vitro fertilization to continue the Ashford family's lineage! By then, it will be too late for regrets!"
Alexander couldn't help but cover his private parts. The thought of that situation actually happening was terrifying.
At the office entrance, a few female employees discreetly peeked inside and giggled while covering their mouths. When they saw Alexander's icy gaze, they immediately scattered and fled.
"Grandma, now that we have made an agreement, can you leave? I must finish my work as soon as possible so I can have some time for romance..." Alexander hoped his grandmother would leave the company immediately. If the old woman continued to stay, the entire company would make fun of him.
"Romance? Can you handle it?" Grandma Ashford shook her head in disbelief. She picked up her tea and took a sip, calmly saying, "Your cousin came to see me today. She said Leo is tired of playing around and wants to settle down and develop a career. I have decided to let him work for the Ashford family. After he arrives, you can learn from him how to win a girl's heart..."
Alexander's face immediately darkened. "Grandma, you want to let someone like him into my company? How many female employees will he harm? Besides, there are no vacancies in the Ashford Family Business, we don't need to hire anyone!"
"How is it possible? I heard that you took over Blossom Fitness Club. Don't you need someone to manage such a big club? You wouldn't personally manage a club, would you?" Grandma Ashford slammed the table. "It is settled then, I'm appointing your cousin Leo as the General Manager of Blossom Fitness Club! Remember, three months! Otherwise, I'll tie you to the operating table!" Grandma Ashford warned Alexander again before leaving the office.
"Damn it!" Alexander pounded his fist on the table, "I have no idea what my cousin said to grandmother!"
Ethan didn't dare say a word and kept his head down.
Feeling frustrated, Alexander sank into the boss chair, concerned about Ivy working at the Blossom Fitness Club and Leo's flirtatious nature. He worried that Ivy might become Leo's prey.
As he thought about Ivy and Leo, a revelation suddenly struck Alexander's mind.
During his visit to the motel, he had overheard a conversation between Kayla and Ivy.
He remembered Kayla saying "It wasn't solely my fault for being with Leo back then. It was because you wouldn't let him touch you that he turned to me..."
Ivy replied, "Enough! I don't want to hear about the past, especially not about you and Leo!"
Recalling this conversation, Alexander stood up in shock.
If the Leo mentioned by Kayla and Ivy was indeed his cousin Leo, then Leo was Ivy's ex-boyfriend?
