Chapter 375 Falling from a Tree

Outside the window was a balcony, but there wasn't a single person on it besides several pots of green plants. Oh my goodness, the child couldn't possibly be...

This is the second floor!

Ivy was terrified and immediately rushed to the window on the balcony, looking down.

Below the window, there was nothing but a osmanthus tree.

But as she slowly looked up from the base of the tree, it seemed like there was a little figure moving quietly on the osmanthus tree.

Wasn't this little figure Sixie?

"Sixie! What are you doing?" Ivy called out in concern.

"I'm playing hide-and-seek with the cats... Ah... Mommy... Mommy saw me! Ahhh... Thud!"

In her excitement, Sixie fell from the treetop.

"Sixie! Sixie..." Ivy shouted loudly, about to jump down.

Alexander and the other five girls rushed over, worried.

Just as Ivy was about to jump, Alexander quickly grabbed hold of her.

"Why are you pulling me? Sixie fell!" Ivy was frantic.

"If anyone is going to jump, it will be me. You go take the stairs!" Alexander exerted force and pulled Ivy back from the window sill.

"Alexander, you... You're so overbearing!" Ivy said, anxious and annoyed.

"I'm a man. With me here, how could I let you take risks?" Alexander said, then "thud," he jumped down.

Ivy suddenly froze, tears of gratitude welling up in her eyes.

The ground below the window was covered with a lawn, so Sixie wasn't in any mortal danger after falling, but getting injured was inevitable.

After jumping down, Alexander also sustained injuries, but the father and daughter quickly healed themselves with the magic pearls inside their bodies.

Ivy, with the five other daughters in tow, hurriedly ran downstairs.

The housemaids at this time were all happily eating wedding candies, hearing that Sixie had fallen from a tree, they rushed out in a panic.

When they saw that Sixie was fine, everyone let out a sigh of relief.

However, after Alexander picked up Sixie, his eyes were filled with anger.

"Ethan!" Alexander shouted.

"Here!" Ethan quickly stepped forward.

"Replace all the incompetent housemaids in the house! Including that driver with terrible driving skills, replace them all for me!"

"Mr. Ashford..."

Eighteen housemaids rushed over in a line.

One of the housemaids pleadingly begged, "Mr. Ashford, please don't dismiss me. I have elderly and young ones to support..."

"Shut up!" Alexander sternly shouted.

"Mr. Ashford, I just took out a loan and bought a house near your villa so that I can work conveniently for you. If you dismiss me, I won't be able to repay the mortgage!"

"Is this my fault?" Alexander's face was extremely cold.

Looking at all the housemaids, he said indignantly, "I didn't employ just one or two people, but eighteen! But with so many people here, it seems that I've created a chaotic and uncontrollable situation."
"There is no time for you to have sex, and you almost let the child have a serious accident. What use are you?"
"We're sorry... we were wrong..."
The household servants apologized repeatedly.
"We know we were wrong, now get out of here!" Alexander's face was extremely displeased.

It wasn't that he was heartless, but these household servants were simply incompetent. They were being paid several times the market rate and yet they were not responsible for his child!

What use were people like this? Did they really think Alexander had too much money to spare?
Blake and Maria had just gotten into the mood in their new room when they heard that something had happened to the child. They immediately tidied themselves up and rushed out in panic.

"Ivy, what's wrong with the child?"
"Ivy, what happened?"
Seeing Blake and Maria's disheveled hair, Ivy knew that their intimate moment had been interrupted. She glanced at Alexander with a reproachful look and quickly told them, "It's nothing, it has nothing to do with you. Go back and continue your love-making!"
"Is it really okay?" Maria and Blake didn't believe it.

The maids' expressions were all off.
The scene fell silent.
One of the maids who had taken out a loan to buy a house pleaded, "Madam, please help us speak up. Don't let Mr. Ashford dismiss us and leave the Ashford family. Where else can we find such a high-paying job? Without this income, I won't be able to pay off my mortgage!"
