Chapter 59 A Familiar Voice
"Luna, I won't hurt you," Blake reassured Ivy repeatedly.
Ivy didn't believe Blake's promise. Even if he didn't harm her now, what about tomorrow or the day after? Could he really control himself under the instigation of his brothers?
So no matter whether it rained or not, she had to leave as soon as possible.
"Blake, if you're willing to send me away, do it now. If not, I'll leave on my own! I won't take those shells with me for now, but please don't handle them casually. I can guarantee that they can be sold for a high price. When I find a good way out and come back here, I will tell you," Ivy said firmly.
"You can have the shells; we don't want them," Blake said while pointing outside at the heavy rain. "But we can't sail in this weather. It's dangerous in case of a storm. I promise to send you when the rain stops."
When would the rain stop?
Ivy anxiously looked at the heavy rain.
Since she couldn’t go out by herself, someone could come and pick her up instead.
But who should she ask?
The orphanage director? He was almost seventy years old.
Maria? Emma? Alexander? She only knew these three people since returning home.
Maria was taking care of her children and couldn’t leave him alone.
Emma was just a weak woman; was it safe for her to come here?
Alexander...
It seemed that Alexander was the only one who could help right now.
However, her phone fell into water and Alexander’s number existed only in her phone which she hadn’t memorized before anyway!
But she could remember Flower Fitness Club’s HR department number which consisted of seven digits and sounded very smooth!
She could call Emma from HR department and ask her to call Alexander.
"Blake, can I use your phone?" Ivy asked.
"Of course," Blake handed his phone to Ivy and left far away, which made Ivy feel safe.
Ivy dialed Flower Fitness Club's HR department number, thinking that Emma would answer the call.
But after hearing about Ivy’s death by drowning, Emma had been traumatized and couldn’t even go to work. She took a leave of absence at home for rest instead.
The one who answered the phone was Leo, the newly appointed general manager!
"Hello? This is Flower Fitness Club's HR department. Who are you looking for?" Leo politely answered the call.
Emma wasn't there; it was a man?
This voice sounded so familiar! But she couldn't remember whose voice it was for a moment!
However, she urgently needed help and said: "Hello, I'm Ivy from the aquarium. Can you please help me find Alexander? I have an urgent matter with him."
"Ivy?" Leo jumped up suddenly upon hearing her name. The voice was right; it was his fiancée whom he had been searching for four years!
"Ivy! Where are you? It's me, Leo! Where are you?"
Leo! No wonder why this voice sounded so familiar!
Ivy never expected that Leo would end up working in Flower Fitness Club's HR department!
Should she let him save her? No way! She didn't want any contact with this man anymore!
She hung up directly and returned Blake’s phone back to him.
"So your name is Ivy," Blake finally knew Ivy's full name now.
Ivy smiled awkwardly. Originally she didn't want them to know her full name but now they found out anyway...
Blake’s phone rang again. He looked at the number before handing it over to Ivy once more.
It must be Leo calling again...
Ivy hung up immediately then added his number to the blacklist.
"From now on, don't answer any calls from my phone if they're looking for me," Ivy instructed Blake.
"Why? Then why did you call just now?" Blake couldn't understand.
"I...my boss has changed and it's someone who used to be my...enemy!" Ivy stuttered.
